Home run bat is a dangerous and cheap weapon in my eyes even though it takes time to you it when it hits its almost and instant KO(unless you bounce of things) to cheap so I take it off and use the STAR ROD!!!

If a weapon is cheap, it is the Lip's Stick... From which game does it comes from??? Ah it doesn't matter because I don't use items in battle... I only often use Maximum Tomato or Heart Container in Stamina Mode.

Funny thing in stamina mode, in the end you see your character die in slow motion. Now that sick.

If I play SSBM I always play stamina mode! With recover items ofcource because 150 HP isn't much... You can defeat your opponent very fast!

Lip's Stick is from Panel de Pon (some dodgy Japo game, I've never played it but I found it out on a website)

I like the homerunbat because you can send them flying! Sometimes I use kirby's taunt, and wave to them as they fly out of the battle area.

I prefer not to use items really.
I only use them if they would win me a KO I need or if I don't know the character like I don't know Samus or Falco.

Items are fun if you want to create a athmosphere at a battle like a Beam Sword match between Fox and Samus or a Pokémon fight with Mewtwo, Jigglypuff, Pichu and Pikachu or a Batt Battle with Ness and his clones or the fight of Stars with the Star Rod and Warpstar and only Kirby's in the battle! I like items... But only for this.

Items are random and cheap...Period.
For example, if you were killing your opponent badly to lets say...150%
And then a home run bat appears near him. He kills you...How do you feel now?

Hyrule temple worst stage. One reason you go to the bottom of the stage and you could have 300+ damage and still be able to kill someone who has 100+ damage. Final destination best stage no where to run no where to hide that where true players are born.

No! Hyrule Temple is a good level! I like it because you can hide and play cowardly in that stage (IMG:http://www.goldensun-syndicate.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I like Fourside too... Especialy when I battle with Mewtwo. And I like the old skool levels too! It's a shame that there wasn't the Hyrule Castle level with it... That one was funny with that tornadoes.

It does seem to be the case that a lot of the experienced gamers think that items are a cheap way to win a match...I think if you're playing someone who isnt as good as you then it levels the playing field cos they might get 5 hammers ( i love it when the heads come off hammers - they're so powerful to throw around). Also, yeah if you're playing to see who seriously is the best then it has to be done on final destination with no items...but playing for fun surely they add to the madness? i always thought so even if i do lose by being homerunned six times in succession. ^^

The items are a great inclusion and make the battles a hell of a lot more frantic, the only really cheap item is the hammer.

i usually get hit by some opportunist person (with a home run bat that is) after ness catches me with his acursed PK fire move which i loathe so very much ><
