As you know yet another Mario party game is out and well Iam thinking of getting it for my sis. Anyways she really wants it but I hate Mario Party games and if I get her it I know she would want me to play with her. After Mario Party 4 it kind of got alittle repetitive..so should I get it or not. Is it any better then the other Mario Party games? Will this game EVER die? Questions I would love to see answered so post away.

It doesn't look like it will end anytime soon. Even though they're on their sixth one, Nintendo is still making a lot of money on the series. Plus, if you're into these games, they get old fast and if they keep making replacements, they'll be rolling in the dough.

Mario Party 1 was a good, solid, N64 game that made a good run.
Mario Party 2 was a useless sequel. Mario + cowboy hat? Wrong.
Mario Party 3 gave a few new games and improved mini-games and was a good game to end Mario's party run on the N64.
Mario Party 4? Useless.
Mario Party 5? Useless.
Mario Party 6 gives you the microphone which we haven't seen since Hey You Pikachu! Hopefully they will find a better use for it as I haven't tried this game yet.

Just to finish up, I have played all these games (except 6) and haven't really gotten into them. If you're going to have a party, bring SSMB.

Funny thing is thats the reason why I may want to get MP6. I have had SSBM for such a long time and I have been playing with my sis for so long that its time for a new game. Thats why Iam considering MP6. Plus I can also share this game with my friends and stuff. We all have played SSBM but atleast Mario Party comes out with new game for its series.

As long as they have new and improved mini-games, Mario Party will still sell. It's a great game for a, party...

So..then is it worth spending 50 bucks on? Mostly it will be me and my sister playing it but I bet my other friends would come over and try it out. Anyways I never heard of the microphone addition to the game. Iam a bit curious about what it does as well.

It's only good if your have 2 people at minimum, better with 3 or 4 though. It's the kind of game that is much better to hire for one night, rather than buy IMO.

You need 3 or 4 to have a lot of fun. The CPU is horrible in these games.

I think its not worth it, the mic is only for saying things like "left" or "right" during certain mini-games! (IMG:http://www.goldensun-syndicate.net/forum/style_emoticons/default/gs_agitated.gif)

Meh. Mario party is Mario Party.

You might as well grab Mario Party 4 for like 20 bucks if you want minigame action.
