EQUATION

[ (New Super Mario Bros) divided by (Super Mario Bros) ] multiplied by [(Minish Cap) plus (Wind Waker)] equals (Phantom Hourglass).

2d/3d mix of Legend of Zelda Cell shaded and gameplay wise, with a minish cap look/feel to dungeons. This is madness, and it's coming out for the Nintendo DS later this year. Remember how Eiji Aonuma said it would be beautiful? He wasn't kidding. Metroid Prime Hunters looked and felt like a downgraded Metroid Prime game, but a true Metroid Prime game none the less. This truly, truly looks like Wind Waker, these graphics are just incredible, totally destroying the Viewtiful Joe cell shading that's been some of the best graphics on the DS so far. Check it out...

"Designed in the style of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass features similar cel-shaded stylings for its 3D engine, with traditional top-down gameplay (using a hovering and semi-mobile camera in a locked perspective) and a map along the bottom screen."

It also fully utilizes the touch screen, and I think it does some four swords function as well, possibly online, I don't remember. Still looks great.

I told ya'll they'd make cel-shaded graphics for Zelda again! *ownzors*

Wow, I'm so psyched! I was worried that the Zelda DS (not Tingle) would be completely 2D. =/ I'm glad to see that it looks pretty much identical to WW.

I'm actually fairly intrigued by this. It looks like you'll be going from island to island again, so I wonder if its story is going to be connected to WindWaker...

Actually, Blue, it's been official for a while now that this game falls directly after Wind Waker, and while we're on the topic, Twilight Princess falls between Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker.

Wow. This totaly blew me away. I ALWAYS find out about new Nintendo games on the net, so how come I haven't found out about this... yet?!?
This is like... Totaly awesome. I know I've said that I think(and in a way hope) they won't be making a new cel-shaded Zelda, but... I was wrong! And I'm actually quite gald they're making it cel-shaded! The normal 3D maybe wouldn't look so good on the DS, but this looks just plain superb! This is another reason I'm going to kill myself! You see, I'm not getting a DS. But I soooooooo want to! I so want to play Wild World, Mario & Luigi, Metriod Hunters, Pokemon Diamond & Pearl... and now this game too!

The only thing I'm really concerned about is that control-wise, this game will be the same thing as most of the other DS games. You may have forgotten about the way the controls were set up for Metroid Prime Hunters (at least for the demo) and Mario 64, but you had to pick which control scheme you wanted to use (Sylus Control/Button Control basically...) and I don't really want to use the Touch Screen for my primary control since I want to keep the button feel of the Zelda games, but I still want to use the stylus for some of the things shown in the video, such as drawing the path of your boat and completing the puzzles... hopefully it'll be like ACWW where you just whip out the stylus when you want to use it.

Well... I might actually get one in the end. But, I've decided I want to stop playing games so much. I've been playing them since I was a little kid and now I think it's time for me to forget about them. I study less when I get a new game and I just become totaly lazy. But I can't forget about games, when the DS has to haunt me wherever I go!!! Stupid Nintendo...

OMFG!!!! Those are the best graphics I've ever seen for the DS!! I never really liked Zelda games cause they were soooo long. I got WW a loooong time ago, and probably since I hardly play it, I havn't finished it yet. But this looks pretty good. If it can inter link with the rev, I'll definately get it.

Er... I usually like when a game is REALLY long. I thought everybody likes very long games... AND HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE ZELDA GAMES!?!? YOU SHOULD BE BANISHED FROM CIVILIZATION!!!
Also, The Wind Waker is one of the shorter Zelda's.
