I'm very familiar with the plot, and I'm re-playing Golden Sun right now, but I was just wondering if anyone ever saw a reference to Golden Sun being Book 1? I personally don't remember such a thing, but I know GS2:TLA is called Book 2... Anyone remember?

I think Golden Sun is generaly counted as book one.

It's the equivalent of 'Chapter Two'. I think you can safely assume the first game to be Book 1 since it's obvious they were going to extend the plotline.

I don't think it is. I believe it was introduced in GS2 to make the series seem more fancy.

Also, it would sound kind of lame. Golden Sun: Book One. It's like Camelot hired a rapper to design the opening sequence.
