That's unfortunate. I doubt the Wii had much to do with it... but you do hear about Wii related deaths. I mean, there was that woman who drank loads of water and now this. I smell a conspiracy...

Well, if you're being a lazy ass for a long time and then suddenly start exercising really hard for one day, you can put a lot of strain on the heart...

ok, that's really, awful....but i can't stop laughing at the title of that article and the first two paragraphs! i feel so mean and evil. x_x

but only because of the whole wii fit thing. It isn't that unusual for 'healthy' people to die during exercise, often from an undiagnosed heart condition, or a freak heart problem or clot in the brain or something along those lines.

Wii Fit isn't responsible, though people will probably find something wrong with wii fit now and blame Nintendo for promoting unsafe exercise or some bull****.
