Fucking hell. Dragon age: Origins, Mass effect 2 and The old republic are going to fucking own.
Discuss.
http://social.bioware.com/wiki/dragonage/index.php/Main_Page Information on Dragon age as I presume it is the least known about.

I love Bioware. Dragon Age: Origins looks promising, although the setting sounds very unoriginal. Gameplay wise though, it looks like Neverwinter Nights without the crappy DnD rules. Awesome.
My biggest beef agains Bioware is that their portrayal of good and evil is overly black and white. Dunno about Mass Effect though, I still haven't played it even though SOMEBODY really really wants me to. I just haven't gotten around to it.

Really I never noticed them portraying it as black and white, haven't played NWN or BG but in the ur... only Bioware game that I have played (Mass effect) it does a pretty good job of not making it black and white.
Anyway reading that wiki makes me so interested in the game, I really like the sound of the games mages and I also like the sound of the mage's enemies: The templars.
But as I said before never played Baldurs gate but I heard it was a really fucking amazing RPG so I would expect this to be as well.
Also the mages shapeshifting skill looks fucking amazing.

I kind of agree with the black and white thing, but it's the same in all games really. Also, in Mass Effect there's a really petty evil, and a really petty good. There's hardly any consequences to your actions apart from Wrex possibly dying but apart from that there's barely a difference.
Mass Effect 2 will be GOTY 2010 and if not, there's been some major behind the scenes dicksucking.
Dragon Age looks cool, though haven't read much into.
Thomas bullied me into looking into Old Republic. Looks good but as I saw with MMOs, if its not Maple Story it's probably not worth it but this really does look cool.

I found what choice you made had pretty obvious consequences most of the time. I mean the amount of times I avoided a fight thanks to my persuasion skill was... high.
And as for The old Republic I might be a trooper because they are so much like... Master Chief.

True, in my opinion the only developer that does a very good job of the gray area is Rockstar in GTA IV and maybe a few other niche games. However, the thing about GTA IV is you don't really make any
true choices that affect anything. The Witcher did a decent job of this, the whole story was pretty much about a typically amoral mercenary breaking his own mold and finally making choices. It had a couple different story branches based upon your decisions, but it was really in your face and obvious (most of the time) and it ultimately ended up with you picking between two factions where the outcomes were exactly the same, just with a different faction winning.

Looking over the achievements in Mass effect I found a few new ones that I have never seen before, as far as I know they have nothing to do with bring down the sky, I was just curious if anyone had any idea what they were about.
They are:
Undisputed
Complete Ahern's survival mission
New Sheriff in Town
Take first place in any combat scenario on Pinnacle Station
Best of the Best
Take first place in 12 combat scenarios on Pinnacle Station

Sup guys so I heard this game (Dragon Age) is 20 gigs. Relevant to PC gamers and PS3 too I guess.
Other than that, it looks awesome.

You can cast a spell to put oil on the ground. And then cast a fireball to ignite it, making a wall of fire. There are incendiary weapons too. And dargons. And people who transform into spiders.
The only thing the game doesn't have is facial expressions.

Yeah I don't agree with people complaining about Dragon Age's facial animation. It's not the greatest thing you've ever seen, but it gets the job done well enough for me. That, and the graphics were decent too. Again not the best, but the details in the armor were nice. Maybe you're right if you're playing on the 360 but if that's the case, that's an error on your part.
