BRILLIANT news for all Guild Wars players, and potential Guild Wars players alike. Arenanet has announced a brand new game "Guild Wars 2". They have announced that the level cap will be increased to 100, or be unbounded! You can jump, climb, swim, and much more! Also, an expansion for previous Guild Wars campaigns has been announced; "Guild Wars: Eye of the North" takes place in the underground caves of Tyria, and is more of an add-on than a whole new game.

I'm really not excited about GW2. It seems they got rid of all the reasons I play GW. If I wanted a WoW clone, I'd play WoW....

From what I've heard it's not going to be a WoW clone. They're changing a lot of stuff, though. I'm not sure about the new control scheme either. Sounds like it'll make managing your party tougher than it needs to be, but jumping and climbing trees sounds like it could be fun.

For one thing, I hope it's less risque. Some of the female Elementalist clothes are just stupid, they're still practically half-naked. And I get tired of watching them prance around and always /dance (the boob jiggle was sort of funny at first though), especially when I know more than half the time it's actually a guy. No offense Nyktos. XD

The worst thing (and it's a pretty critical thing) about Guild Wars were the "instanced worlds" or whatever, where only you and your party exist in the area. It really made the community disconnected and made it hard to make an efficient friend roster. Everything else was good.

Instances are a common part of MMOs. Otherwise there'd be too much trolling and conflict between different groups. I doubt you'll get a completely open universe in Guild Wars 2. Good luck.

Depends on what MMO but most WoW style MMO's have a lot of them.

Personally I absolutely loved all the first Guild Wars'. The games were something fresh and provided a lot of things to do and fun to be had. However I have also played other MMO's, like world of warcraft, and there are definitely aspects of both that, combined, could make this a great MMO.

I'm buying GW2, no doubt in my mind.

All looks sorta tacky to me? I mean they're nice and well designed, but I hope what goes into the final game is much better than that!
That said, like half of them don't even have triggers?
