Google's New Layout

Google tweaked it's layout massively, on Google's term, but slightly compared to other sites.

Now, according to Google, searching is now 'universal', meaning when you search, everything is displayed on one page. I think it will come in handy sooner or later, but currently still haven't found any real use with it yet.

Anyone noticed it yet (currently they are upgrading their servers, so some wouldn't see it yet). Comments?

I'm intrigued by this idea. It could come in handy. I'm not sure for what though.

Seems to be the same. Somehow, though, I don't like how the main page now has a menu in the upper left... not a drastic change, and it's still a simple layout compared with other search engines, but I can't help but miss the older look/feel to it.

I think Google is slowly but surely changing the layout to be more streamlined. Most say "If it ain't broken, don't fix it.", but there are so much Google services out now, and most are simply not used.
I'm still waiting for Google's anwer to Yahoo! Answers and Wikipedia.

And What's up with iGoogle? the i. Way to rip off Apple...

Heh, I actually think that makes some very good sense. "iGoogle" as in "I Google".

I just noticed this. Personally, I prefer the old layout, but I understand the change.

That was the first thing I noticed. Thats WAY to close to kind of taking apples originality. Although they can mean it in the way that GL stated before.

In all, I really have to say that I don't like the new toolbar in the corner. It looks dull and cluttering. If they gave it a different look then I wouldn't mind as much.

Interests:Drums, Guitar Hero, pretending to play guitar, getting awesome at the one song I know how to play on bass, school(yeah, I'm such a loser) music, mohney, etc. I suppose I'll give you an abbreviated list of bands that I like: Relient K Switchfoot Guster Angels and Airwaves Arcade Fire Porcupine Tree Weezer Mae It's sorta a weird mix of mainstream and not so mainstream. I like a lot of single songs too... Bands I need to look at: Plastic Constellations Cauterize Patent Pending And a bunch of local bands that you'll probably never hear of. Pandora rocks. I'm running out of things to say here. Perhaps I like duct tape? Yeah. This likely won't be touched for another year when my tastes have completely changed.

Meh, I prefered the normal look, but whatever...One thing that bothers me, however, is that every site every is going with the "rounded bar" look. Have some originality!
