Apart from OoT and SSB, Mario Kart 64 was probably my favourite game in the PS1/64 era. Double Dash was good, but only enjoyed the Multiplayer.

The Wiimote should make this game so fun. Can't wait. Anyone else excited?

I love the look of the mine kart stage. All good games have mine karts in. It's the rule of gaming, as well as all good games have monkeys in them. It's the law.

Yeah, Super Circuit was incredibly crap. I can't believe it got such good reviews.

Anyhow, this game will surely rock, especially the online multiplayer. Even though I'm sure MK Wii will be great and all, it's only 8th or something like that on my Wii wish-list. I guess I'm just not a huge fan of the series.

Racing online sounds like a more interesting prospect to me. Especially since there will be 12 racers now.

There was a new trailer from the Game Developer's Conference for this game. Looks a bit like Mario Kart BMX to me. It looks like the characters will either use the normal karts or bikes. I can't say I expected that. Still it looks very pretty, though the people playing it looked stupid holding steering wheels that aren't connected to anything.

The steering wheel seems kind of pointless to me. I'd rather just hold the Wiimote normally than look like a three year old pretending to drive.

One of the first games I ever played was Super Mario Kart for the SNES and it was fun. Since then, Mario Kart has been my favorite racing game. I can't wait to use the Wii Wheel.

12 player multiplayer sounds awesome, but I am worried about the bikes. Gamecube controller support ftw though.

The bikes are a nice idea, but it just suggests that they may branch out to other vehicles. If they did that, they'd need to drop the Kart part of the title altogether.
Besides, how many motorbikes do you see that are controlled by a steering wheel?

Dont use the wheel then? Maybe the bikes are differently controlled, like with cars you hold it vertical and twist, but with the bikes you hold it horizontal like a real bike. That would be better than having it just like the cars.

The wheel still looks strange to me. I mean, it just doesn't look right if it's not connected to anything.
I assume the bikes do have a different method of control but the trailer I saw didn't really go into much detail. Nintendo just brought in a bunch of stock actors to look overly happy playing the game.

There's some new videos on GameTrailers. They've converted the DS tracks pretty well on there. It's all looking very nice.

I played Mario Kart DS just last wednsday, and it's funner than I thought it would be. I always loved Mario Kart 64, so who knows. Maybe I'll pick this up.
