Discuss both Disgaea games. I only played the first and won't start the second until I do everything there is to do in the first. Also, my favorite class is either the ninja or the Ronin.

Great game, yet sucks too much time. My main reason for loving Disgaea apart from the zillions of hours you can burn on it for no reason, is the excellent humour involved. Too bad the anime adaptation was balls, but the game's dialogue is all very amusing. Penguins that say 'dood' makes Nemphtis want to kill you all and replace you with his own army of Penguin slaves. I don't see a point in playing the sequel though, since the original is so time consuming it would only be worth moving over for the new humour and storyline, which are things I can watch on YouTube already.

Dis1: what Anubis said

Dis 2: plays a lot better than the original, but lacks everywhere else, especially on the plot. Although Yukimaru is my favourite NIS character ever. Soundtrack is badass too, seriously download it. NOW.

Dis 3: looks interestin, nothing amazing though. also NIS can suck my balls for putting it on PS3 when a PS1 could handle it >:[

You're not very up to date on gaming news, are you? Anyway there's barely enough Disgaea 3 news to be laying the smackdown on it, let's wait until the son of a ***** actually has a release and lots of media to check out. All we have at this point is a trailer which you'd think is a PS2 game if they didn't come out and confirm it was for the PS3.

Makes you wonder though, with all that space they're saving from the visual side of things, Disgaea 3 might fill that entire blu-ray disc with so many hours of content that it'd make even the most loyal GSSF moderator to stop loving Nintendo. I have Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness but I haven't played it properly yet. This is mainly because I'm still trying to finish Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and after that I need to complete Final Fantasy Tactics.

Disgaea 3 will be released in Japan in February, making it pretty much finished, considering it was announced August/September that makes it incredibly rushed in my book. Simply put i can't see them using all the space on the blu-ray disc the ****tards

despite my username, my opinion isnt bias.....

if you like the slower pace that comes with stratagey RPGs and like a HIGHlarious storyline and a lifespan bordering on infinite then the first game is definately worth checking out, second game not so much unless you enjoy the original

got myself Afternoon of Darkness, the game looks a lot better on a PSP and the story is everybit as genius as i remember, they changed Etna's VA which is kinda irritating, but that's a minor complaint

I recently got Disgaea 2. I'm on chapter three right now and just got the Samurai and ninja classes. The only real gripe I have is how they designed Adell. He looks ****ing werid. Nothing he wears matches. But I like this game. I think its even better than the first. And it also seems its easier to level in this game as my average party level is 30.
