Just curious, if I remember correctly, somewhere below our current usernames there was a field where a member's former name, or alias, was displayed. What happened to it, and is there a way to get it back?

I'm concerned about this too. How am I supposed to know who's who if I leave for a couple of weeks and come back to a hoarde of similarly-named members with no distinguishable traits? For example.

Usually it only lists their most recent name, not all of them.

Its supposed to be used so that returning members know who everyone is if they changed their name. I think it would be a bad idea if people could do ehatever with the AKA feature.

I agree with DS and Split, the feature's not to be abused. If any member wants to change their username and/or add in something in the "AKA ____" field, please contact me, I'll take care of it.

Just to give "official" word: yes, the "formerly known as" field was intended only to show a user's previous username, so that older members could identify the user if they were not aware of the change when it took place. Moderators and Admins can change it, so if you change your name please let one of us know so we can update this field. I'll look into a way to automate this in the future.
