I'm glad I didn't miss the awards. Although it will be a tough choice for the awards.

It's so that you don't have your own votes influenced by others. And besides, don't worry about the counting, because you know who'll be doing that?
Yep, exactly.

I'm only saying that because I think escout deserves it, but. :P
I remember when Me111 didn't get Best Newbie because Split/Spam King created a new account (and won Best Newbie with it) even though he wasn't technically a newbie.

I remember it too. Still I won two awards last year so that made up for it.

We'll get so much traffic, and Golden Sun (Syndicate) will be the spotlight in the news for about a week. Nintendo will be pressured to make another game, cuz controversy sells! "Golden Sun: Kamikaze", for the DS.
GL, if you want GS3, keep the award!

The first year we did them was a much better year.

Initally I agree, but I appreciate the work and effort that several members contribute to them.
They seem more...mainstream? Like they've lost their value I guess.

And let's face it, my chances of winning weren't exactly low; I don't exactly act sane online. (:

Don't get me wrong I still enjoy these awards, but I guess I just wasn't looking forward to them so soon. I think it has something to do with the inactivity of the 'veterans', I still think the forum was at it's best when I was a newb, just the capacity of the senior members was higher. Life goes on I guess.

EDIT: Ohh and as for some suggestions, maybe we could have awards as 'Most Left-Out Member' and 'Most Loyal to GSSF'? I always thought that those would've made pretty awesome awards to win. :(

And I think the awards are tradition, mainstream or not. I mean, I guess I share the same sentimentality that GL has for this forum. No matter what, I don't think anyone will forget GSSF as long as they live, and the awards are just a way of honoring the value of these forums and the people that make it a great place.

However, if no one else can, I might be able to find the time to do it somewhere. But I call trophy maker next year.
So who's doing it this time?
