Some of you might not accept it as an actual art, but it does still produce some pretty images. Here's a few fractals from my gallery.

"Unseal", part of a Quote Quiz series.

"Shaw-Fujikawa", an experiment with photoshop layers.

"Negative Suns", the first in the Quote Quiz series.

"To Be Wed", a festive/sappy heart.

Those are pretty darn impressive. Did you save any higher quality versions?

Thanks! I rendered most of them at 1280x1024. If you want, I could render larger resolutions and post them in attachments.

If you can, great. Just watch out for the 2MB limit.

These are pretty cool. Someone explain to me what a fractal is?

It's basically a filter which generates very complex patterns.

Repeating patterns of geometric shapes, basically what Spam King said. Ultra Fractal (payment required) and Apophysis (free) are the best known fractalling programs. Here's the link to the Apo website if you'd like to give it a try: http://www.apophysis.org and http://apophysis.deviantart.com/

That's pretty impressive. A friend of mine does some fractal related stuff, but I can't rememebr what he uses. Might be Apophysis, but I could be wrong.

A few more fractals, just because:

                    "Water Medallion", a JuliaN experiment.

"The Golden Sun", an accident that turned out better than it should have.

"Orion", OCD tells me this is a PROTOSS!

And here's a nice photograph of the Arbiter.

Ahhh fractals... sort of like a ner spyrograph. (If anyone still remembers that thing...)

Long loads, but I'd expect that for algorhythimic art, and worth the wait.

                          Moar fractals:

"Crystal World", an nGon/Image spinoff of my first fractal.

"Assault on the Control Room", a 3DA Grand Julian that vaguely resembles a scene from Halo.

"Vaunted", another from the Quote Quiz series.

"To Stand in the Light", another from the Quote Quiz series, predecessor of Vaunted.

That's really neat. I've actually downloaded a lot of fractal artwork to use as my background on my phone. Pretty awesome!

I downloaded the program, aphrosys or whatever, but it's all greek to me :P I think I'll stick to a pen and paper.

A Scarab theme would be fun, I've destroyed tons of those tanks!
Fractals don't really take form like that unless you combine a ton of smaller fractals in photoshop. I'll try something with that color theme, though.

                                          Here's the next four:

"Please Stop Being Human", another in the Quote Quiz series, first version of Unseal. The circle looked like 343 Guilty Spark, so that's where the name came from.

"What Wicked Webs We Weave", an experiment with JuliaN and Flipped Disc.

"Tertiary", an experiment with multiple Power Variations.

"Enterprise", changed the perspective on AotC, came up with the vague shape of a spaceship.

These are simply amazing, though I think the third set was the best. Keep up the good work!

Just a note, most of the fractals I've posted so far are older ones from my gallery. Anyway, here's the next batch of 4:

Request from Mallick. I was rendering this without a power cord on my laptop so I couldn't see the colors that well, turned out more magenta than it was supposed to. I'll re-render it later if you like.

"Grand Blue" and "Ballroom", my first Grand Julians.

"Combustion", originally an attempt at a Protoss Pylon, but these colors looked better.
