Just the basic idea of the linked battles you have now, but over wi-fi or other internet methods. Instead of leader boards, maybe a rankings idea, win x amount of battles and you become a knight etc.

Yeah, but that should still include a leaderboard imo.

There should also be Colloso(sp?) tournaments.

Does every game really need to be online this generation? Why can't game companies focus their money on making a good single player game like the old days?

of course with like over 100 different puzzles which are picked randomly for matches, same for items etc

imagine how many awesome improvements there can be on that

Maybe there could be seperate quests that you can't do in single player mode. You do a quest with someone else, you can't do it a second time, and then you get the reward from the quest put into your single player game. It could be like a third-party decision.

While online battling would be the obvious hallmark of an online-capable Golden Sun title, I think adding in a Pokemon-esque trading system for Djinn would also add a neat extra dimension.

If they did that, they'd have to include moe than one of each Djinn, becuase once you tradd, you wouldn't ahve that Djinn anymore, and if there is a special thing to unlock with all Djinn, you couldn't get it.

Wow, one of Skid's posts actualy made some kind of sence. I don't know about trading Dijnn, but wi-fi battles and item trading would be cool. Maybe a fountain minigame that has even more rare items, same with the ticket game.

I'm not wild on the idea of online battles. It would be dominated by people who have all their characters at level 99, with all the best weapons.

Maybe it would do something liek Pokemon Stadium, where all pokemon are the same level.

The players can choose what level their characters should be, and then all the Psynergy above that level can't be used. Weapons will still play a part, but it will be more even wwith the psynergy and attacks.

Also, for GS3, a good idea would be to include like, 80 Djinn, 20 for each Element, adn then the trading system would actually make sense, if they included one.

Instead of trading djinn, they could make unique/hard-to-get weapons/armours etc. to trade instead. Trading djinni seems a bit, far-fetched to me.

Yeah, because each Djinni is meant to be unique, and technically you collected them all in GS2.

It could work though. And I think it should be online though; not everyone has DS.

I think that the game shouldn't be overloaded with a whole bunch of newer stuff. I think it should have maybe one or two online features added then just make a great story for single player and then they should be set.

                                            I would love it if they just slapped in the Pkmn Diamond/Pearl battle system. That one lets you choose if you want everyone to be the same level or not (50 or 100) and then lets you voice chat throughout the entire battle. It would rock! >_>;;;

^ That's what I've been saying. But maybe not just 50/100, but let you choose the exact level. The difference in Psynergy spells/magic from 50-100, is not that big.

Know what I think? GS, worked out to become an MMO. That would be glorious. Think about it, some of the basci workings for an MMO are already present. Different classes, tons of dungeons... It would be interesting indeed.

I'd agree with that, but only if there was not a damn monthly fee to play the damn game online.

An MMO would ruin Golden Sun. And besides, we've been waiting nearly a decade for GS3; we want a solid storyline, not a world full of noobs.

There's still people making Youtube videos on how they beat Dullahan, for christ's sake. I wasn't really looking for one, but the most recent I came across was from October '07.
