And technic, I had a lot of lego technic. I think we've got a mindstorm here somewhere as well.

I also had Duplo, which was big Lego for dumbasses who could put lego together.

I still build things on occasion, but not very often. I usually use K'Nex instead because it makes sturdier and easier to manipulate/observe models. It's a bit more limiting though. I've got a model potato gun prototype I designed stashed somewhere. I used to have a 5 foot long plane before I had to take it apart.
And I always wanted one of those mindstorm sets. They were too expensive though.

Edit: but there is this one set I really want. It a big Imperail Star Destroyer set. The completed model is something like 38" long, 22.5" wide, and 18" tall. It also costs about $300.

But I agree. If and when my kids become interested in Lego's, I'll give them my collection. If I'm done playing with them. I may just keep them for a generation and give them to my grandkids when I'm too old to play with them. They'll... help keep my dextarity up and Carpaltunnel Syndrome away. Yeah, that sounds like a good excuse.
*digs out a small pack of legos and stars building with them*
And a tid bit a read about legos, there are aproxamitly 350 million possable combinations to put six eight stud bricks together...or was it billion?

'Son...I want you to take this cartridge...and this Gameboy...keep them safe...and whatever you do...don't erase the save file! It took me ages to get all those Pokemon!'

I have like, three huge boxes full of misc. leggo stuff. They were fun when I was younger, but now they take up so much space! x.x
And seriously. I actually have the old original gameboy that my older brother gave to me (and a game genie for it!). Someday those will be collectors items.
Funny how Beanie Babies never turned into profit though XD. We wasted so much money on those.

Yeah, I think we still have some lying around somewhere. They're probably worth quite a bit by now. I mean, it HAS been 6 or 7 years since the ones we have came out.
And honestly, just like our generation was far more skilled with videogames than our parent's generation, our kids will wipe the floor with us. Expect to see 7 year olds beating Pokemon Blue in under 30 seconds. :(
