Over the last couple of weeks, I have received numerous requests from people who want their username/display name changed back to what it was when they registered (i.e., "originally"). Many of these same people once told me they were sure their "new" name was what they wanted, and gave some seemingly valid reason. And yet now they want to go back.

So I just want to remind people that changing names is both possibly confusing for other users and an inconvenience for Nick or I to carry out. Those in the Veterans usergroup who can change their own name should be aware of the time limit, and should keep that in mind before changing.

Although I have been accommodating the last few weeks with these requests, I'm going to stop unless there is a really strong reason. Please respect our protocols and your privileges, and this won't be an issue.
