I'm terribly sorry for those of you who requested sigs/avatars/sets. Maybe I'll continue to make those and post them, but other than that, you won't see me in the spam or off topic rooms. I'm really sad about that. I have a lot going on with school and such, so maybe having one less distraction will improve my performance. Who knows.
So I suppose this is farewell...for now. Maybe someday when I graduate and get out on my own I'll come back head on. I hope so <_<

It's unfortunate that you're leaving, it really is, but seeing your situation it's understandable and I suppose a prudent decision too. I wish you the best in everything Alyssa, take care.

I'm sad to see the only other hard-core conservative besides myself leave the forums. Hopefully you'll be able to come back sooner than you think. <_<

No I do believe that there are others.
I know I haven't been on long enough to actually get to know you really well Icy, but it is still sad to hear that you have to go. Good luck with school and stuff of that nature. Hope to hear from you some time in the future.
Peace

I had a similar issue when I was younger. My parents (even before the days of OMG MYSPACE=KIDNAPPERS!! All over the news... Hell, even before the days of Myspace.) tried to keep a tight watch on my internet use ever since, after having been asked, 'Who are you talking to? =]' and a reply of 'Some girl I met on the internet who likes anime. 8B'. Around that time, I was ten or eleven, but as they knew little of technology, the way the internet works as a mini-society, and anything past 'girl got kidnapped by internet predator' on the news, they freaked and made it quite known they didn't want me talking to any of my newfound friends on the internet...
Not to set an example, it's honorable and understandable for you to oblige your parents' will.
Me, I snuck it in.
Using school computers, waiting to be home alone, learning how to clear history, learning how to perform a system wipe... I learned ways around it. 'Who are you talking to? :D' '[Insert name of schoolfriend.]' 'What are you writing in that box there? =O' 'Oh, an email to a school friend. =D' I've even met up with a few of my internet-met friends, but if ever noticed or questioned, it was always by coincidence.
By now, I'm seventeen, eighteen this summer, and for maybe a year or so it's been hinted that I browse forums, chat with people I've met all over this country, the world even, and... They don't really seem to care, at this point. Five or six or seven years ago, I would never have expected this, but I guess they figure now I'm a big girl smart enough to make my own decisions, and I'm not posting underwear shots of myself on Myspace and giving my home address away to strange men (or anyone), I'm most likely fine.
They simply stopped caring. I don't do system wipes anymore. I don't feel the need to maintain a different Windows account (though it is nice to have one), hell, I don't even clear history much, if ever. (Though I think I have it set so nothing saves- Even so, it saves SOMEWHERE, but I feel no need to destroy the evidence. :P )
In all... Handle this the way you see fit, but if you find yourself coming back around here at some point, it may be sooner than you think. =]
