Vampire:the Requim

A group of vampire hunters called The Requim have dedicated their lives to ridding the world of this dark plague. Sets of The Requim have popped up all over the world, from England to Egpyt, China to the United States.
Scientists the world over have been working on a cure for vampirism, which will turn one back to a human.
Vampire or Human, make your choice.

Aluru walked the streets of New Orleans, his mouth wet from the blood of a young female. He made sure not to kill his victim, leaning down to her throat, as to kiss her. The drunk girl felt nothing. 200 years ago he would have drained her till she had but a drop left, but that was then. He had changed over the years.
He entered the pub Tir Nan Og. They knew him there, but knew not what he was. A waitress walked to the table that he had sat, and asked what he wanted. He looked at her nametag. Samantha. She must be new. He ordered an apple cider. Though vampires could not taste drink nor food, they had a keen sense of smell, and warm drinks had an especially strong smell.
He sat there for 20 minutes, smelling the sweet aroma of his drink. While he was there, he had noticed a man in the corner had been stareing at him ever sine he had entered. The man was a vampire, Aluru had no doubt abotu that. This vampire was no mroe than 2 years old to the blood. Aluru called Samantha over to his table, paid, and left. The man followed him into the dark streets of New Orleans.
((Sort of short, but whatever. Hope others join))

Shane growled in frustration as he landed on a rooftop, "Any sign of it Jace?" he asked over his radio.
"Negative," came the reply.
Shane swore before shakeing his head and looking over to the next rooftop to gaudge the disstance before running and jumping to it. He and his partner Jace had been chaseing the vampire for the last hour and had just lost it thirty minutes ago. Looking around once more, Shane taped his radio and said, "I'd hate to say it, but let's call it a night. It's gone."
A sigh came over the radio before Jace said, "Alright. The boss won't be happy."
"I know," Shane said. "What's your local? I'll pick you up."
"Let me check. I'm on the roof of a place called Tir Nan Og. It looks like a bar of some kind. It's at fifth and fourth street."
"Right, I'm close to there now. Be there shortly."
"Okay, and don't forget, you're buying dinner tonight."
"I know, I know," Shane said, jumping to another rooftop as he got closer to Jace's location.
It took him a few mintes, but Shane finally made it to the intersection Jace had named. Of course, at the moment he was still on the other side of Fifth, which just happened to be a six lane road, a little far for Shane to jump. Shane tapped his radio and said, "I'm here, on the other side of Fifth. You still there?"
"Yeah, I'm here," Jace said.
Shane looked over and saw a hand wave in the dark. "I see you. You want to just take the fire escape down and meet in the alley?"
"Sounds fine. Wait, hold on a moment."
"What is," Shane asked anxiously.
"It's him, our mark. He's following some guy out of the bar."
"You sure?"
"Positive. Check your floresent, he's got the tag on him."
Shane flipped his nocks to floresent and saw that Jace was right, the mark was walking down the street, lite by a large red sploch from the tag he had been hit with. "I guess the night's such a drag after all. Let's take him down."
"Right, moving to the next roof top to get in a better position."
"Roger, I'll flank him. Let's get this sob this time." And with that, Shane stepped back and jumped off the edge of the four story building, landing with nothing more than a slight thump that none but he could hear. Looking around, he pulled out his knife andquickly corssed the street.
((in case you can't tell, everthing in bold is over the radio))

The vampire was visibly scared, shaking in Aluru's arms. "You, you're Aluru, are you not? The dark prince. Pandora made you. I, I've heard stories. I traveled from New York to here to find out if they were true."
Aluru grinned, and then turned serious. "If you have heard of me, then you msut have heard of the many vampires I have killed for trying to feed on the blood of New Orleans. I should strike you down for this blasphemy. I should...", but Aluru stopped. He blocked out the noises of the town, trying to hone in to what he thought he felt. Yes. They were here. The Requim. "You're lucky. Leave this town, and don't return, or I might not be as forgiving." With that, Aluru jumped into the air, dissapearing into the many rooftops of downtown New Orleans.
The young vampire stood still in the alley, confused.
((Oh ya, jsut so you know, the vampires don't really die from garlic, holy water, silver, stakes. Basically, cut their heads off, burn them, or put em out in the sun.))

Shane rapidly made his way across the street, following the pair, untill they went into an alley.
"We got him cornered," Shane muttered into the radio and moving towards the entrance to the alley.
"I've got a bead on him," Jace replied. "Want me to take the shot?"
"No, this creep is mine," Shane said, moving into the alley. He senced some kind of movement as he entered but ignored it, as the target was standing in front of him, the floresent marker standing out like a Roman Candle in his nocks. But the vampire's back was to him, so it didn't see him approach.
Shane quickly walked up, grabbed the young vampire, and threw him against the wall of the alley. "You almost gave us the slip there," Shane hissed into the vampire's ear. "We've been looking for you for a while." Shane slammed the vampire against the wall again, hearing bones break and grinning. He leaned in and breathed in deeply of the fear radiating off the vampire, savoring the smell.
"P-please," the vampire begged. "Don't kill me."
"A little late for that," Shane said, pulling his large knife out of his sheath. "After chaseing you all across town, I'm not about to let you go. I hate your kind." Shane tightened his grip, now around the vampire's throat.
"But you're one of us," the vampire gasped out.
"Not by choice," Shane replied, and rammed the knife into the vampire's jam and up into it's brain. Before the body could hit the ground, Shane pulled out the knife and slashed down, sending the head rolling across the pavement. He then watched in satisfaction as the body glowed a dull red before turning to ash.
With a nod, he slipped the smoke knife back into its sheath and tapped his radio mike. "We're done here. Let's go."
"Right," Jace replied. "So what's for dinner?"
"I was thinking burgers," Shane said, jumping up onto a nearby fire escape and climbing to the roof to meet Jace.
"Again," came the reply.
"I'm buying, so i get to pick what we have. And I just have a craving for a tripple bacon cheese burger from The Bioue."
"Of course you do," Jace said as Shane walked across the rooftop to him. He clicked off his radio and said, "Well, let's get going. Maybe Janet's still there."
Shane smirked at his partner and said, "You do know she's into chicks, right?"
"And that's the fun of the challenge," Jace said, grinning like a fool and causing Shane to burst out laghing.
"Come on," Shane said after calming down. "I'll buy you an extra bakset of frys." And the two hurried off across the rooftops.

Aluru stood atop the clock tower. He hated running, but he didn't have a choice. He hadn't conversed with any of his real friends in many years, and therfore had no way of battleing the humas that searched for him. He hadn't seen Pandora, his maker, in a good 150 years, and Merrick had dissapeard in Egpyt 30 years ago. Marius was the only "friend" he had seen recently. Aluru saw him in Greece two years before. They both knew of the others presence, but they both closed their minds, and thier mouths,.
Aluru waited untill the scent of the two vamprie hunters went away, and then jumped down the tower onto the ground. The people of New Orleans would sometimes see him, but would covince themselves that it was just a trick of the mind. He was thirsty. It didn't take him long to find a hooker. They went to a cheap motel, and he quickly fed. He let some of the blood flow back into her neck, enough to give her a feeling of ecstasy, but not enough to turn her into a vampire. He threw a 50 on the unconcious escort, and left.
The clock bell rang 5 times. The sun was soon to rise. Aluru made it back to his mainson in uptown New Orleans. He made it into the basement not 20 minutes before the sun rose. He feel into a deep sleep in seconds.

Sarena sat at the bar, watching the many drunkards and down-and-outs. Tonight was her shift; hanging out at the bar was just one of the perks of her job. She figured, if there's a chance I'll be dead tomorrow, might as well seize the day. But getting drunk was not listed under this so called "day seizing"; she still had work to do and catching vampires required alert senses.
Just then, a curly blonde returned behind the counter, "Seen any lately?"
"Picked up a trace of one." Sarena nodded, closing her eyes as she set down her water, "A girl was found just down the street. They fed on her, and judging by her wounds, it was fairly recent." She shook her head, her black hair swaying, "Honestly, are they just getting dumb or lazy?"
"Both." Samantha smirked, "There's one over at that table. You could tell...he was smelling his drink more than tasting it. No beer smells that fragrant to be inhaling it like cocaine."
"The one over there?" Sarena motioned with her head discretely.
"mhm." Samantha nodded.
Sarena smirked, handing her a few bucks, "that's why I keep you 'round."
Just then, the suspect called Samantha over, paid his bill, and left. When the waitress returned, Sarena smiled, "Well, duty calls. See you later. Or in heaven. Whichever comes first."

"I don't see how you can drink that sh!t," Jace said, taking a sip of his Coke.
Shane smirked around the bottle as he took a swing, savoring the strong taste. "You're just upset cause you're still too young to drink, and that I can drink you under the table anyday."
"I don't drink beer anyway," Jace glared.
"I know," Shane said, grinning. "You like your Jack and Coke and your Screwdrivers."
Jace was about to say something else, but the waitress returned just than and set a large basket of Cajun Fries on the table and winking and him.
Jace just smiled back and asked, "Is Janet here tonight?"
The waitress shook her head and said, "No, she's off tonight."
Jace just nodded as she walked away.
"Dude, she totaly likes you," Shane said, grabbing a handful of fries and eating them.
"I dought it," Jace replied.
Shane tossed one of his fries across the table, smacking Jace in the forehead with it. "I'd hate to sayit Jace, but sometimes, you are an idiot when it comes to women."
"Like you're an expert yourself," Jace said, before dodgeing another thrown fry.
"I'm going to make you eat those words when we get back to HQ tonight."
Before Jace could reply, the waitress returned with their food, giving Jace his Cajun chicken sandwich, and Shane his massive, greasey, bacon, triple chesse burger. With a greedy look in his eyes, Shane attacked his meal. "I still can't see how you can eat that. It's so unhealthy."
Shane just rolled his eyes and said, "You know how high my motabalisim is. I'll burn this thing off by morning."
Before Jace could respond, Shane's radio buzzed.
"Talk to me," Shane said.
"Shane?" a female voice said. "Where the hell have you been? You two were supposed to report in an hour ago."
"We're at The Bioue having dinner," Shane replied.
"What! What about your mission?"
"All taken care of. We nabbed the guy and took him out. What more did you want?"
"You could have contacted me and let me know. It's my ass on the line when you screw up."
"I'm trying to enjoy my burger, can you rip me a new one when we get back?"
"You ungrateful piece of... when you get back here, I'm going to-" Shane turned off his radio and cut her off.
"I really get tired of her sometime," Shane said.
"Your going to get it for sure now," Jace replied, and caught another flying fry.

Aluru awoke just as the sun had set. He walked to the main room and grabbed a book about ancient Rome. Some nights he wouldn't even leave the mansion, he would jsut read the night away. This wasn't one of those nights. For the past couple weeks he had felt Merrick's presence, but it quickly dissapeared. He didn't know whether to beleive his instincts, or jsut pass it off as a trick of the mind, but whatever it was, he would walk into the city in hopes that they would meet again.
When he left his house, he saw two little kids playing in the street with a football. He remembered his promise to Pandora that he would not feed on a child, and he had kept it for over 200 years. Some years ago in Paris he had killed a vampire for feeding on a child. He walked to downtown New Orleans in search of his first meal. The night hid his face, but when he walked directly under the streetlamps, his marble white skin was as clear as day. He always avoided them if he could, as to not scare the people.
"Want some E. I give great deals." Aluru turned to the man that was speaking to him. He was scruffy looking, with a beard that looked to have not been shaved in weeks. Aluru had known that to survive he had to stay up on the culture, and nowadays, drugs was a big part of it.
"I have 100$. Let's go into this alley, and do our business." They both walked into the alley. The dealer counted out 25 pills and put them in a small bag. He tossed them to Aluru and spoke. "Now pay up."
Aluru grinned, bearing hsi razor sharp teeth. "This, is my payment." The dealer tried to run, but it was no use. Aluru had him in his arms, and his teeth in his neck in seconds. Aluru made this meal count. Ussually he could have every last drop of blood gone in a minute, but he wanted this one to last. He had drained abotu half the dealer's blood, when a sence shot through his body. Merrick. The name shot through his mind. He was definetly in New Orleans. ALuru thoguht about meeting his old friend again for the first time in decades. Aluru din't realise untill it was too late. The dealer dropped dead in his cold hands. He had drank too much. Oh well, he thought. One less scum to deal with.
Aluru honed into his friend, and as clear as day, saw him in his mind. He was at the mansion. Aluru rose onto the rooftops, and sped towards his large mansion. He opened the large steel gate, and headed up towards his front door. He paused before he opened it. It had been 30 years. Why now, should he choose to come. He cleared his mind and opened his front door, to find not Merrick, but a note awaiting him. He picked it up and read it aloud...
Dear Aluru,
I would truely love to see you, but now is not the time. You msut leave New Orleans, immediatly. I knwo that you have tried to keep your victims alive, but they have learned of your presence. If this were 100 years ago, then surely you could have done way with them, but that isn't the case anymore. You are weaker than you have ever been. Though you may reclaim your throne, you are not the dark prince you once used to be. Leave, and I shall meet with you. I have kept in touch with Marius, and I know of Pandora's whereabouts. Leave now, and I shall find you.
Merrick.
...Aluru stood stunned. The first time in 30 years that Merrick had contacted him, and it was a letter telling him to flee a fight. He would do no such thing. He still was the dark prince, and he would not leave his great city of New Orleans, untill it was all over.
Aluru placed the letter upon a chest in his living room, grabed a book, and began to read. He did not leave again that night.

That little sh*thead! she thought, throwing the walkie talkie on the table.
"Uh, I hate to interrupt your ranting session..."
"WHAT?!" Sarena turned around, steam practically blowing out of her ears, only to be faced with her boss. "oh...I'm sorry! I--" make that, her extremely gorgeous boss.
"Shane and Jace?" He chuckled.
She sighed, still looking a bit sheepish, "Yeah...I thought something had happened since they hadn't reported back to me. Turns out they took care of our guy then decided to go out to eat, without letting me know they had completed the mission."
"That's like them." the brown haired male looked up at the clock. "Oh, this is for you. We found another victim dead this morning. His name is Vince Irwin. He was a priest at St. Mary Of The Angels Catholic Church down on Broad Street."
"Fourth church in two weeks..." Sarena looked over the various notes attached to his file. "They're all in--"
"Alphabetical order." He finished her sentence.
Sarena rushed behind her computer and began to search for Churches in New Orleans. "The next one on here St Matthias..." she looked up at him with a pleading eye.
"Go for it."
"Yes!" she smiled widely, like a child that had just gotten its way.
"However..." He paused
"Yes?"
"I want you to take Shane and Jace with you."
Just about to playfully whine, Sarena decided to bite her tongue instead. She knew her boss well, but she also knew where to draw the line in her antics. She straightened her posture, "Alright. Will do."
"Good." He smiled then walked away, leaving her to flop down on her chair. Picking up her radio, she signaled Shane, "Oh bo-oys, I have a mission for you!"

Shane had just finished downing his burger, and was considering orderig a second, when his radio crackled a second time. "Oh bo-oys, I have a mission for you." With a sigh, he dropped the money for the bill and tip on the table and walked out with Jace.
Once outside, Shane clicked the talk button and said, "This better be something quick babe, I'm about ready to call it a day."

"Hah. Just for that, it's going to be a long explanation." she smirked, hearing their groans come in clearly. "The churches that have been attacked are all in alphabetical order. For the next few nights, we're going to have to stay at St. Matthias church."
"Hah! That was quick." Shane laughed
"Oh, but you get to stay there as monks, while I'll be staying with you as a Nun. So get your butt down to HQ so we can get ready, Brother Shane" With that, she closed the radio

Aluru laid his book down. It had only been an hour since he had come home and found Merrick's note, but for some reason, he wanted to rest. He knew that one day they would find out about him. When he became a vampire, he left New Orleans, and hadn't returned untill long after Merrick had dissapeared. He hade made it abundently clear to the vampires of the world that he had visited to not feed upon the blood of his city, but some would just not listen. Some came to find out if the rumours were true, some came to test him, but whatever the reason, he didn't let them leave.
He slowly rose from his chair, and cleansed his mind in hopes that for some reason Merrick had come back to him, but he sensed nothing.
He walked upstairs to turn off TV that was on in the master bedroom, but what he heard stopped him in his tracks. An older man dressed in grey was reporting. "At 7 A.M this morning a priest named Vince Irwin was found dead in the St. Mary Of The Angels Church. This is the fourth priest to have been killed in two weeks. Just like the other victims, Vince had two bite marks in his neck. We have asked the local authorities if some evil force is at play, but they answered with the same cliche 'there must be a resonable explanation' speech. We will have more for you when more details come in. I'm Christopher Styles, and have a good night."
Aluru shut off the TV, and went down to his dark basement. Just liek the ngiht before, and the night before it, he dosed off in seconds.

"Where we going this time," Jace asked.
"We're being staioned at some church for servalince. We get to be monks for a while."
"Oh, that should be fun," Jace said sarcasticly as they came to a shed behind the restarunt.
Shane pulled out a card key and swipped it through the hidden reader, unlocking and opening the door. He lead Jace inside and up to the pair of Kawisaki motor bikes inside. "You want red or blue this time?" Shane asked.
"I'll take red," Jace replied, catching the keys when Shane tossed them over.
They fired up their bikes and drove out of the shed, Shane hitting a button on the bike that closed and locked the door. They drove out of the alley and sped off down the street towards headquarters.
As they wove their way through the late night traffic, Jace's voice came over the radio. "So how long you think we'll be staying at this church?"
"I'm hopeing only a day or two."
"Why?"
"Cause I don't like churches. Too quiet for my taste."
"That can't be the only reason."
"It's not. I had a bad experence at a church when I was still a child, before my heritige assertited it self. It's not somthing I like to remember. But's it's why I never liked churches."
"What happened?"
Shane said nothing in responce for a while untill they approached the descrete building the headquarters was housed in. As they pulled into the underground parking structure and up to a wall, Shane finnaly said, "I was - raped by one of the preists."
"I...didn't know," Jace said, concern in his voice.
"No one does," Shane replied, pressing a brick in the wall, opening a hidden doorway and driving inside. "At least, no one alive knows. Like I said, I was a child at the time. When it was found out what happened, and that I was not the only one he had victimized, the preist was stoned to death."
At this point they had arrived at their destination and killed the motors and got off, leaving their helmets on the seats and walked inside through the series of security check points.

New Orleans was the last place Rhiria wanted to be at that moment. As she ran down the endless maze of alleys she tried to hold his face in her mind. The face of the person...monster that infected her lover. She'd been hunting vampires for years now, but falling in love was the first weakness she'd shown, and someone very powerful had decided to use it. She wanted so badly to forget the night that it happened, the night that they turned him, but she had to keep it in mind. She had to remember the vampire's face, because it was only through him she'd find who was really behind it all.
She'd tracked him down to New Orleans and now she was alone, in a foreign city with only shadows as her comfort. She kept on running to help keep the rage and sorrow down, but she eventually stopped in her tracks, realizing she had no idea where she was. She thought about the vampire nest she had just destroyed, and wondered if whoever was after her would get the message. Perhaps she should look up some fellow hunters. Maybe she should just stop and clear her head.
With these thoughts she rounded a corner, and was immediately grabbed into the shadows by powerful arms, too quickly to even scream

Aluru woke and looked at the clock that rest on the table by his bed. It read 5 PM. It was still light out, and not safe to leave.
He had dreamt of the night he became a vampire. He remembered almsot dieing, and then his maker bringing him back. It takes a day for the vampire blood to flow through the body, and every vampire has a last sunrise. It is unlike every other sunrise they have ever experienced. The light shines on the body, and gives a feeling a warmth never felt before. After that day though, the warmth of the sun will turn into a burning, and will kill the vampire in minutes.
Aluru closed his eyes, and dozed back asleep.

Taped to the bottle was a note:
Sorry for snapping earlier. Hope this makes up for it.
Shane just tossed the note in the trash and pulled the stopper out of the bottle, taking a long, slow swig, savoring the taste of the specially blended wine. When he had drained half the bottle, Shane set it back on the table, belching up a slight cloud. He really enjoyed this wine, and the Requim's hypocrisy in providing him with it, seeing as it was called Blood Wine cause it was blood mixed with red wine. He loved the rich, flavor of the wine itself, plus the hints of mint and cinnamon that were often added. Blended together, it all made for a pleasantly spiced, richly flavored wine.
"I need to make sure they send a few bottles of this with us," Shane said, the buzz from the alcohol already receding.

Aluru awoke, and this time when he looked at his clock, it read 11PM. He had overslept. That night, he was going to go to St. Matthias Church, and warn David de Point, the head priest, that he should keep his guard up at all time. David was one of the few humans in New Orlenas that knew ALuru was a vampire. They would converse every now and again. David would always try to get Aluru to sit in on a night mass, but Aluru would kindly refuse.
Aluru walked to his giant bathroom, and applied some makeup to his very pale skin. Without it, he looked freakishly white, and sometimes scary.
Alurur walked out of his giant home, into the dark streets. He walked the alleys, as to not be seen, and possibly for food. He came out on Centenial Drive, where the church stood. It was tall, and made of limestone. Aluru had remembered it being built, but that was centuries ago. He entered the huge wooden doors to see Father David on his knees praying. He walked swiftly across the floor without making a sound, like only a vampire can. He gently placed his hand on the priest's shoulder, and without speaking a word, David knew who it was.
"You have garnered a reputation in the past couple of weeks," spoke the priest, without even turning towards Aluru. "4 churches in 2 weeks."
"You know that wasn't me."
"Of course my friend." David rose from his knees to face Aluru. "I can tell you are not here for small chat."
"You must leave New Orleans. You are in grave danger. I have no idea who is killing these priests, and for all I know, he, or she for that matter, could be a Child Of The Millenia(vampires who are thousands of years old). If that is the case, I may not be able to protect you." Aluru knew David would not leave, but he had to ask.
"If this creature choses to take my life, then God will greet me when I am dead."
Aluru thugh to himself long and hard the question he was to ask. "Would you like me to turn you into a vampire?" Aluru had asked the question many times, and David's answerwas always a resounding no.
David chuckled, and smiled at Aluru. "You know the answer to that my friend."
Aluru reached into his pocket, and pulled out a loaded 9MM pistol. "Here, take this." He reached his hand out, asking the the priest to take it. "If the vampire comes, and I am nowhere to be seen, shoot him in the heart, or the head."
David was reeluctant to take the weapon, but he knew Aluru wouldn't let him say no. David grabbed the gun out of Aluru's hand, and placed it in his pocket, under the white robes he wore.
"I must take my leave. I shall visit you tomorow, and the next night, and the next night untill this is all over."
David turned away from Aluru for a second, and when he turned back, Aluru was gone.
The night was still young, and Aluru made his way into the heart of the city, for a meal.

Hmmmm I am getting hungry. I think it is time to end David de Point's life by draining his every last ounce of blood from his measly body. It shall be very very tasty. I think that this vampire slaying group is catcthing onto the whole going in alphebetical order. Perhaps I should switch it up. They would never expect that and neither would that dastardly priest. I do hate priests, with so much force. Their spreading of lies and the way they act is disturbing. I mean I am a vampire, but at least I have SOME dignity. I guess killing Dave isn't the best move for me afterall. Tonight I will strike at St. Robert's church and kill Bob Duvall. Yes no one will expect that and I will get my fill... Oh its going to be a great night on the town!! I just love it when those slayers see me, yet do to my great make up they have no idea its me!! Perhaps Ill run into them tonight, maybe even kill 1 or 2.

The day had been long and boring. He, Jace and Sarena had arrived at the curch just after dawn. The head priest, David something or other, already knew who they were and where they were from, although he did not know what Shane was, and told the other priests there the the three of them were visiting from another church. The three were accepted and Sarena went off with the other nuns to be shown her room, while Shane and Jace followed the father to where they would be staying. This gave Shane a chance to familierise himself with the layout of the inside of the church, and a good chance to get a feel for the priest.
Following behind the man, Folcon was able to breath in his scent without being noticed. And after seeing the man's eyes and spending a few minutes talking to him, Shane could tell he was also a good man, unlike the priest he had known as a child. Shane shuddered slightly at the memory, catching the priest's attention.
"Is something wrong?" the man asked.
Shaking his head, Shane replied, "No, I've just never been comfortable in churchs. I don't know why. But I'm fine now."
The priest nodded and took a few more steps before stopping infront of two doors. "These are the chambers where you'll be staying. Brother Shane, you'll be in the room on the right. There is a box waiting for you inside, as well as fresh robes."
Shane nodded and pulled his wig off, scratching his head. At the priests confused look, Shane said, "I thought I might blend in better if my hair looked different. And the vampire responsable for the attacks may recognise me other wise."
The priest nodded as Shane slipped the wig back on before saying, "If there is nothing else, then please get ready. I'll send someone to fetch you when it is time for the noon mass."
And so the day had gone, long and boring, But Shane did well to hide it. He had spent that time before the noon mass to read the entire bible through, cover to cover, and taking would he figured would be his last bite to eat in a while. Lunch after the mass had been plain and was followed by two more through the rest of the day. He was annoyed that he hadn't seen much of Jace, and grudgingly to admit, Sarena.
It was now closing on eight, and according to one of the other monks, there would be one more short mass and then dinner. He had about thirty minutes now before that last sermon and he wanted to spend it with a bottle, but he knew he would do better to wait. With a sigh, he sat down at the small desk and took a slim volume out to read. When his watch beeped after twenty minuts, he sighed once more and put the book down, pulled the wig back on, picked up the bible and set it in the inside pocket of his robes, and left the room, walking out to the sanctuary to see what he would be doing this time to help with the sermon.

"Sister Sarena, Father David wishes to speak with you."
"Very well." the pretend nun smiled, half out of respect, and half out of joy that she could escape the silence.
They sat in the pews of the church, bowing their heads to look as if they were in prayer.
"I have a friend. A vampire. He has warned me of the recent events and asked me to leave, but I refused." Father David quickly showed Sarena the gun, "A silver bullet to the head, is that correct?"
Sarena nodded, "Who is this vampire? Is he good?"
"He is good at heart, but he refuses to work with others. He's a stubborn guy who will only work alone."
"Vampires these days." Sarena joked, "so why did you ask for me?"
"In my studies the Lord spoke to me. I was reading over some past catechisms, and I remembered the patron Saint, Robert Bellarmine, who wrote preached the faith to many people, especially children. Then by divine movement, the Lord somehow spoke to me...it was if it...occured to me, that the next vampire attack is going to be at St. Robberts church. I'm not sure how to word it, but it's as if I was told without words."
"I understand...so you believe you're safe?"
"I always have. I have the Lord by my side, and if he calls me up to Heaven, all the better for me."

Aluru laid a flower on his mother's grave, and left. He couldn't stand much time in the cemetery, for he would want to be with her. Everybody he had ever loved had left him, even the ones that would live forever.
He walked down Royale Blvd. to the Cafe De Blanc. He would come every now and then to hear the soft jazz music that was played throughout the night.
He had been sitting there for no more than an hours when a tall women cloacked in black entered the cafe. He hadn't noticed her. She walked swiftly across the room, and sat right across the marble table from Aluru, her back to the open doors. He knew immedietly who it was.
She spoke softly with an alureing voice. "Of all the places in the world that we had traveled, you chose to come back to New Orleans." She let her hood down. She had kept her dark-black hair loose and long even after all those years. She wore gold hoops dangling from her small earlobes, the same ones she had wore 200 years earlier. She was beautiful, but also smart, and feared not the hunters who killed her race.
"I suppose you are not here to insult my place of living," said Aluru, not even bothering to face her.
"How rude to not even look at me after all these years. I assume you are still stubborn as always." Pandora gave out a little chuckle. A short and chubby waiter in a soiled apron appeard at thier side. "Rum please. St James. Bring a bottle of it." He left and returned rather quickly, for a man of his stature.
Aluru broke the long silence. "Pandora, why are you here?"
"Can I not just visit a friend?" Aluru looked over at her fir the first time since she had entered. He gave her a concerned look. "Allright. Vampires have been popping up dead, all over the world. I watched as Thorne died. 2000 years walking this earth, and then he was gone. It was like the life was sucked out of him."
Aluru stared at his feet. Strong he was, but if a vampire like Thorne could be struck down in a second, he knew he was in danger. "What creature has powers such as this? You don't think Azure could have done this?"
"The thought has crossed my mind, but he hasn't moved an inch in since before Christ walked this planet, why awaken now? Marius has barely left his house. He has been reading through the hundreds of books he has to try and get an idea of what we may be dealing with. I have come to ask you to come with me back to Rome with me. You may be able to help."
Aluru thought long and hard. He couldn't leae now, knowing that his friend may be in danger. "No. I can not leave. A vampire has been killing priests all over this town, and a friend of mine is in danger. I must deal with this vampire before I even think of leaving."
"Then I shall stay here with you. Marius can take care of himself."
Aluru nodded. They dropped some cash onto the table, and left. Pandora needed to feed, and Aluru himself was hungry aswell. They walked the empty streets, looking for the first thing that moved.
((Wow, that was sort of long. I kind of jsut got caught up in it.))

Dropping his hands, Shane eyed the man and asked, "What's so funny?"
The man just shook his head and replied, "Nothing, you just don't act much like a monk."
"Well I'm fairly new to this. It was only about two years ago that I saw the light."
The young man nodded then asked, "Will you being joining everyone else for dinner?"
"I was planing on it. You?"
"Nah, my wife is waiting for me at home. It's our daughter's birthday and I don't want to miss the cake."
Shane grinned as the last of the people filed out and he started turning off the rest of the equipment, "You go on to your family. I can finish up here."
The young man nodded and said, "Thanks." He thenleft the booth and exited the building.
Within a few more moments, Shane had everthing shut down and left to go to what he expected to be another plain meal.

The streets may have been empty, but the clubs were full. Full of drugged up humans, easy targets. They entered a rave on Royale Blvd. to find countless humans, each one a possible meal. They used their looks to get close to their victims, and leaned to their necks as if to kiss them, and insted fed. No pain was inflicted, but the feeling that comes with bloosucking is that of ecstasy, and they felt as drugged up as the humans. They hopped from human to human, taking little bites from each one. They were clueless.
The time was 4AM, and they needed to retreat back to Aluru's mansion. They passed by St. Mathias church, and Aluru felt tempted to enter to check if David was all right, but he didn't. He would come first thing the next night.
They entered his mansion, and Pandora was surprised to see how 19th centurary the inside looked. Apart from the Television, and the computer, almsot everything else was from the time that Aluru had been a human.
"Nice decoarating. You do it yourself?"
Aluru nodded, and showed Pandora to the basement, where they would sleep.
Aluru was asleep the second his head hit the pillow, tired out from the night that they had experienced, but Pandora, who had been through everything, was not tired. She stayed up for a good hour, watching the sleeping vampire.
((Ya, that was crap, I know. I'll make my next post good to make up for it))

"Actually, I could get used to it here." He pretended to be impressed with the cathedral, "Free food and shelter, not to mention some really nice people. But It's not my thing."
"Didn't think so. Father David had a 'revelation'. A friend of his came by to arm him with a gun, and he believes the next attack will be at St. Roberts Church."
"You're going to believe him?"
Sarena shrugged, "I may not be a Christian girl, but anything is possible. Heck, just a few decades ago, Vampires were only a myth; now they're everywhere."
"So I assume no dinner then?" Shane whined.
"You'll survive." Sarena raised an eyebrow and began to walk past him. "Go get changed, we're leaving tonight. Tell Jace."
"Yes sister" Shane rolled his eyes at the somewhat bossy female.
((OOC: I hope Shane wasn't too out of character ^^; feel free to PM me, escout, if you want me to change it.))

Diary entry #16
What a rush tonight was for me!!! You must be wondering what I am talking about darling, so I will go into great detail. When I went to St. Robert's church, to kill Bob, I hit an amazing stroke of luck! I ran into a threesome of vampire slayers. One of them was one of those damn vampiric, vampire slayers hypocrits, killing what they themselves are. The other 2 we're your average idiotic humans. Anyways, I come in through the window and go to Mr. Duvall's room, when I here some chatter near the very window I came through. I figured the three figures I saw near the window had known of my entry. Before they tried to stop me, I kill Bob. His blood was extra tasty. After my feast ended the three opened the door and attacked. How foolish the three were, to attack someonje as powerful as I. I decided not to kill all of them or let them know of how great my power is. However, After I blocked their feeble attacks, I did manage to injure one of them. The wound shouldnt be fatal, but they wont be fighting for a while. Ah what a great night it was indeed!!
End entry
((PS is Sarena a vampire, I wasnt sure, so I said she was. If I am wrong tell me and I'll change it.))

"Get dressed my prince. I sense a vampire is near, maybe it is the church killer you were talking about."
Aluru grabed a set of clothes out of his large dresser and walked into the streets with Pandora.
St Roberts church was 2 blocks to the west of them, and that is exactly the direction the screams came from. They ran at a speed that only vampires could, and as they drew closer, the screams got louder. They reached the tall wooden doors, and stood for a moment before opening them. What they saw was horrible, even for heir taste. A young alter boy, no more than 15 lay beside the decapitated priest. The boy looked up at them, and ran at the sight of thier marble white faces. Aluru drew his fangs, in hope that his adversary would appear.
"YOU COWARD. SHOW YOURSELF!!," screamed the enraged vampire. His voice was dark and sinister, and would strike fear in many. "You want a meal, well here I am!"
Pandora grabbed Aluru's shoulder, and shushed him. "Do not be reckless. I sense two vampires, one very close, and another somewhere in the city. Keep your guard up."
Aluru ran to the dead priests side. It was awfull. Whoever was killing it was not in it hunger, but for fun. Times like this were why Aluru had stopped beleive in God.

ANYWAYS. RP GO!
sh!t. sh!t. SH!T! Sarena, half consious, lifted her wounded arm. Suddenly, she heard a bellowing scream.
"YOU COWARD, SHOW YOURSELF!"
Looking bleary eyed at the entrance to the church, she saw two figures. One with barring teeth unmistakable of a vampire, and another female with almost the exact same features of herself.
Am I dead? I still feel pain but it's as if I'm looking in the mirror...the priest...we failed. He's dead. Where's shane? Jace...did they go running off again? Silly boys. Unreliable. So like them to leave a situation like this! Her thoughts began to jumble as the world faded back into a grey blurr.
What a pretty blue sky... She faded into unconsciousness again as she lay between two pews, her head just barely sticking out the end of the row, her black hair spilling around her like the blood flowing out of her neck.
((Haha, Escout. This scene seems familiar, ne?))

Jace nodded and hurried of into the back of the church while Shane ran through the entrance in prusiute. He was less thana block away when he heard a shout, "YOU COWARD, SHOW YOURSELF!" coming from the church.
Flipping his radio on, he muttered, "Looks like you may have company Jace, keep your gaurd up."
"Right."
Shane ran after the hazy smudge in the distance, hoping to catch up. And he was. Soon he closed the gap to less than a block. He knew the running form was his prey, he could still smell the fresh blood from the priest on the creature.
Finally, he chased the vampire into an alley. Drawing the sword he had hidden under his robes, Shane stepped into the alley and looked around saying, "Alright you yellow sack of sh!t, show yourself." But he could tell it was pointless. Looking around, the alley was empty, and a mist was vanishing over a roof top seven floors up.
Swearing, Shane took one last look in the alley and turned back to the curch. "I lost it. How are things on your end Jace?"
((I'll leave it to skid to say something before Jace responds))

He could tell just by looknig at them that they were not members of the church. They were vampire hunters.
"How the f$%k could you let him go!." Aluru raised his voice at the two on the ground. The female was bleeding, be he didn't really care. He wanted to know why the two vampire hunters couldn't do their jobs. "You humans can't even do THAT right." Aluru turned to Pandora, and spoke in a whisper. "Sh!t, I guess I'll have to deal with this vampire, along with Azure, if he is the one striking down the vampires." He turned back at the two on the ground. "If you even try and kill me, I will tear you apart without even thinknig twice about." With those last words, Aluru left the church, leaving Pandora standing in the middle of he tall building.
She walked towards the two vampire hunters. She had seen enough vampire hunters, and kileld enough, to not be scared of them. "Would you like some help?"
((Ok, that was short and crappy as well, but I promise I'll make my next oen good :())

Jace snorted as the vampire went out the door, then held up some bandages to the woman. "I'm fine, but she needs help. Can you help me bandage her neck?"
The woman nodded and together, they got the bleeding to stop and Sarena's neck bandaged.
Jace then slipped into a nearby bathroom to wash his hands. Returning a few moments latter, his radio buzzed. "I lost it. How are things on your end Jace?"
"We're fine. I got Sarena's wounds bandaged and she's fine too. And a heads up, another vampire showed up and b!tched us out for not saving the guy. Same one you heard shouting. I think he's coming your way, watch yourself."
"Right," Shane replied. "I'll be there soon."
"Okay," Jace said, turning down his radio and reentering the sanctuary. He sat down near where Sarena now lay and the woman was sitting. Looking at here he said, "You're a vampire too, aren't you?"

"You're a vampire aren't you?" said the man on the ground. The women's wound was bandaged, and she seemed to be fine.
Pandora nodded, and sat down beside the two. "Yes. I have been for a little over 2000 years, 2051 to be exact. You two are vampire hunters are you not?" The man nodded. "Yet you have not even attempted to reach for that pistol on your side. Aluru and I, well, we are different. We don't kill for fun, or for greed, but for the sheer hunger. We try to feed on the lesser people in the world, and even try not to kill. I heard you talking to your friend on the radio. If you would, could you tell him to not harm Aluru. If he dies, I will have to kill every last one of you." Pandora reached into her back pocket and pulled out a 50ml bottle of J.D. She handed it to the wounded women. "Here, drink up."
She studied her souroundings. It had been a long time she had been in a church. She didn't much like them, and everytime she was there, she felt that all eyes were on her.
"My name is Pandora of Rome. Marius was my maker. What are your names?"
Aluru's POV.
Aluru raced down the streets of New Orleans. He could feel it, the vamprie was close. He would take on the vampire, and he would win. The thirst grew stronger, as he grew closer. He slow his pace down as he could see the vampire approaching. They passed each other, and Aluru knew the vampire hadn't noticed him. Aluru took a look at the moon before turning around, grabbing the vampire and slamming him into the door of an electronics store, his teeth barred. "You want to feed on priests, IN MY TOWN, well this is what you get."

"I'm Jace, and this is Sarena. My comrade out there is Shane. I'll try and ask him," Jace said, setting his radio, "but if your friend attacks him first, I can't guarentee the result. He hasn't lived around 400 years by being weak." Pandora nodded in understanding and Jace flipped on his radio, "Hey Shane you there?"
"A little busy," came a strained reply.
Shane's POV
Shane grunted as he was slammed into the door.
"You want to feed on priests, IN MY TOWN, well this is what you get," his attacker said.
Looking up, Shane could see his attacker was another vampire, but not the one he had been chaseing. This one smelled different, less evil, and was stronger than almost any vampire he had encountered in his life, which ment he was old too.
His hand fumbled at his belt and pulled out his knife. He then slashed the blade across the vampire's arm, breaking it's hold. Shane quickly stepped away and faced the vampire.
"Hey Shane, you there?" came Jace's voice over the radio.
"A little busy," Shane replied, grappleing with the vampire before pushing it back.
"Be careful, there's a vampire after you. His name's Aluru. He's got a friend back here that wants him back alive."
Shane grunted as hewas punched and his knife went skittering across the pavement.
"Shane, are o-"
"Stop talking boy," Shane snapped, getting back to his feet. The other vampire was watching him wearily. "Man," Shane said, irritated, "Requim don't pay me enough for this. You there, is your name Aluru?"

Aluru's POV.
"How did you know that?" Aluru asked. He stared at the vampire that had cut him. In his anger, he might have made a mistake. He could sense that this vampire hadn't fed in days. "Hmm. You didn't kill those priests did you?"
Pandora's POV.
"I understand." She could hear Aluru's voice over Jace's radio. She flipped her hair out of her eyes and stared at the Jace and Sarena. "Aluru gets a little reckless at times, but he is good at heart. He..." Pandora didn't finish her sentence. Marius' voice filled her head.
Pandora, you must return immediatly. I went with Miriam and Merrick to the underground chamber in which Azure lay, and he was gone. It is as we feared. Gather up Aluru, and return.
She knew that she must return to Rome, where Marius lived, but first she wanted to tell the two vampire hunters a story. "Have either of you heard how us vampires came into being?"
Both Jace and Sarena shook their heads. "I have heard rumors of witches, but I jsut cast it off as hearsay," responded Jace.
"Well then, I have a story for you..."
((I'll save it for my next post.))

Shane shook his head, "No, I didn't kill those priests. I haven't killed a priest in over 300 years. As for how I know your name, my partner told me. Evedently he's with a friend of yours." Shane walked over to his fallen knife and picked it up and put it back in its sheath. "The vampite you're looking for went that way, but it turnedto mist and escaped. Do what you want, I'm going to go check on my friends."

"Sh!t," exclamed Aluru. He looked around, and saw and sensed nothing. "If you don't mind, I'll join you in your return to the church."
"Whatever, just don't try and attack me again." The vampire picked up his knife and slipped it into his pocket, as they both started walking back in the direction of the church.
Pandora's POV.
"The year was 1165 BC, in the town of Nineveh, a few miles southwest of the Nile. Azure was the lord of the town, and was a mean one at that. He killed men, women, and children at will, and many never deserved it. In a village called Legaia, just outside of Jericho lived a women named Rowan. She grew up in Legaia as a farm girl, milking cattle, killing chickens, the ussual. As she grew, she realised she had an odd power, a power that allowed her to heal even the worst of wounds, and if she tried hard enough, she could even bring people back from the dead." Pandora stopped as Jace and Serena sat queit, listining intently to what she had to say.
"Azure learned of Rowan's power, and told the people of Nineveh that she was a witch, and he would give 100 pounds of gold to whichever soldier brought her to him.
Rowan, much like Jesus, surrendered without a fight. She was nice to the soldiers, and even gave them milk to drink on their long journey from Legaia to Nineveh. When they reached Nineveh, Azure was not as kind to her as the soldiers were. He said he would spare her life if she healed his dying son. Rowan refused to help the dying child, and Azure ordered for her to die.
He brought her into the middle of the town and tied her to a stake, ready to burn her alive. He asked if she had any last words, and she spoke nothing btu a curse, the words of which I don't even know.
The curse was in a language that not the lord, nor any of the peasent watching knew. She was burned, and her ashes were scattered across the Nile.
In the coming weeks, Azure grew ill, not eating or drinking, and only appearing before his subjects at night. The cattle would mysteriously dissapear over night, and Azure would sleep all day. The townsfolk finally decided that Rowan had placed a curse over the town, and they revolted against Azure, coming with pitchforks and torches. He dissapeared when they came, and was never seen again in the town of Ninevah.
After 6 monthes of pain, and hiding, he had become a vampire, like I am today. The first child he made, was by the name of Lucious. He was Azure's finest soldier, and was visited one night, whilst praying by the Nile. They traveled the world together, making every human they saw fit, into a vampire. Few have lived from those days."
Jace and Serena sat still, amazed at the story Pandora had told them. "I..." but before Jace could speak, the door of the church swung open, and Shane & Aluru walked in.

"Roger that Blood Hunter, clean up and extraction crews are on the way. ETA, ten minutes."
Shane then clicked off the radio and said, "You two should probably go. It's almost dawn, and I'm sure you want to get back to where ever it is you sleep for the night." The two vampires nodded and Shane turned away, dismissing them. He quickly made his way into the back of the church, where he found the young alter boy huddling behind one of those movable walls. Not the best spot to hide, Shane thought, seeing that the wall boxed the boy in where he was. The only way out was now passed Shane. Standing in the open passageway, Shane sank down on his knee and held out his hand. "It's safe now little one," Shane said softly. "It's safe to come out now. The monsters have left." The boy moved farther back. Muttering faint curses under his breath, Shane took a few steps forward. "I'm not going to hurt you, please come out."
The boy shook his head and tried to move further back into the room, without much success.
Sighing, Shane took off his coat and tossed it aside. "You really want me to come in after you, don't you." The boy shook his head and didn't move. Sighing once more, Shane pulled up a nearby chair and sat down, facing the boy. "I know you're upset kid. Your priest is dead, killed by a terrable monster, and you're afraid. I would be too if I was your age. I understand that your world has been flipped upside down and turned inside out. Right now, the best thing you can do is come out, get cleaned up, go home, and cry for your priest. And when you can cry no more tears, pray for him."
"I have no home," the boy said softly. "I live here, in this church. And now it is no longer a safe place to live."
Shane looked at his feet and sighed. After a moment, he looked back up and said, "The people I work for can find you a place to stay. We work with a few foster care facilitys that take in child with circumstances similer to yours."
The boy just snorted.
With a sigh, Shane stood up. "Fine. You want to stay here, in this place where your priest died, then that's fine by me." He then turned and walked back to the hallway he had entered from, where he was confronted by one of the men on the extraction crew.
"Sir, clean up is finished and agent Sarena is in route to our medical facility now. Agent Jace sent me to get you. He is waiting outside."
Shane nodded and said, "Good. Let's get out of here," and started to walk away. He had only gone a few paces when he heard a scuffling of feet on the floor and hurring footsteps. Shane smirked and paused as he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist.
"Take me with you," a muffled voice said, weaping against Shane's side.
Shane gently removed the hands and turned to face the boy. He lowered himself to be eyelevel eith the boy and said, "Of course." The boy lunged forward and hugged Shane.
Shane knelt there lost between stunned and amused, untill the other man loudly cleared his throat, getting his attention.
"Sir, we need to be going. The athorities will be here shortly."
"Right," Shane said, trying to remove the boy's arms from around his neck. When they wouldn't move, Shane sighed and stood up, lifting the boy with him, and wrapping his arms gently around the boy as the boy wrapped his legs around his waist. Like this, Shane carried the boy outside and to the waiting van where Jace was standing. "Don't say a word," Shane remarked as he got into the van. Jace just held up his hands with a slight grin then pantamimed locking his lips and throwing away the key. Shane just shook his head and sat down on one of the side benches with the boy cradled against his chest, softly crying into his shirt.
The van drove off and in moments, the boy had cryed himself to sleep. Shane sighed once more and gently removed the boy's arms from around his neck and gently lay him down on the bench, strapping him in so he wouldn't fall off. He then moved across the bench and sat down next to the still slightly grinning Jace. He tapped his mike once more and said, "Send in a message to DCS, we need to find a home for a boy about 15 years old."
"Yes sir."
With a sigh, Jace leaned back against the side of the van and muttered, "I really need my wine."
((wow, that took longer to write than I thought it would. I need to stop RPing when I watch tv. Hope it didn't sound too bad near the end there.))

Alex stumbled down the street a little, his head bobbing in all directions looking at random little distractions. Street lamps were the worse, he would just stare straight at them when he passed by. He bumped into a person on the side walk all of a sudden. He jumped back and pointed at them with his eyes widen. "Gone with you pestilent creature!" He then dove into some bushes and hid. Popping his head out a minute later, he noticed a church across the street, with what looked like an ambulance. "Red and white mechanical beast of healing, what brings your shineiness to this holy ground?" He then noticed that it would be day light soon, so he ran to a gabarge bin and took the top off, then procedding to hop into it. "Smelly mirrored tin, hide me from the burning."

Shane lat sprawled across his couch as an empty bottle of wine slipped from his hand and thuded on the floor, rolling away and clacking aganst the other eleven from the case of twelve 2-litter bottles and moaned, more out of pain of a swollen stomach then any hangover, although, he was drunker than he had ever been, it was more from the sheer quantity of blood consumed with the wine, than the wine itself. Swollen and lethargic, Shane rolled into the back of the couch and tryed to fall asleep. But he couldn't doze off.
Shane hated himself right now. He hated the condition he had put himself in. And right now, he just hated the world. But most of all, he hated-
Shane's revelry was interupted by a clattering sound. Groaning, Shane rolled over and cracked an eye open to glare at the current bane of his existance as the boy moved around the room, collecting the empty wine bottles and putting them in a trash bag. Haveing picked up the last of them, the boy looked around for a moment in confusion before dragging the bag next to the trash can and leaving it there. At that point, the former alter boy looked over and saw Shane watching him. Flushing slightly, the boy walked over and sat on the edge of the nearby coffee table.
"You shouldn't drink so much sir," the boy said. "It's not good for your health."
"You sound like my partner," Shane snorted, and started to roll back over, but stopped as a sudden need overcame him. Groaning, he sat up and shook off the last of the haze in his head before standing up and hurring off to the bathroom and slamed the door behind him.
Twenty Minutes, and three flushes, latter Shane came out and slumped back onto the couch, groaning, "Note to self. Twenty-four litters in ten hours is a bad thing." He then burried his nose in the back of the couch and tryed to sleep once more.
But he didn't get much more than a moment before- "Sir."
Suppressing a growl, Shane rolled over and said, "What?"
"I...I'm hungry sir. I haven't eaten since last night and its noon now."
"There's food in the fridge," Shane said, rolling back over. "Fix whatever you want."
"But I don't know how to cook."
This time Shane did growl, causing the boy to step back a pace, before rolling over and sitting up. "Fine," he said. "Let me change first." He then got up and walked into his bedroom where the boy had slept and pulled a pair of pants and a shirt from the dresser. With these in hand, he walked back into the bathroom and closed the door behind him. After locking it, Shane stripped and took a shower. After another ten minutes, he stepped out of the bathroom, dressed in jeans and a blue t-shirt, and raked his fingers through his damp hair.
Glancing over at the boy sitting in one of the arm chairs, Shane walked into the kitchen and open up the fridge. "What do you want?" he asked, rummaging through some of the stuff in the front. "I got some burgers, hot dogs, a few pieces of fried chicken, some meatloaf the, sniff phew, needs to be thrown out. If none of that sounds good, I got half a cheese pizza, stuff for sandwichs, I think this is leftover tuna cassarole..." When no responce came, Shane stood up and looked towards the boy. "Something wrong?"
"No, I just..."
With a sigh, Shane tookout the meatloaf and threw it away before closing the fridge door. "What do you want. I can call the guys downstairs. They can get you just about anything."
"I just want plain oatmeal."
Shane glance at his watch, "At one thirty in the afternoon?" The boy nodded. Shane's face wrinkkled in disgust for a moment before saying, "You choice. You want any fruit to go with it? I think I saw a banana and some strawberries in the fridge."
"No, just oatmeal."
"Whatever." Shane rummaged through one of the cupboards but couldn't find any oatmeal. With a sigh, he walked over to the phone and picked it up. "Hello, Jack? It's me. Can you have the kitchen send up a box of oatmeal. I know I don't eat the stuff, but the guest I have wants it, so send some up will you. Thanks," Shane said, hanging up. Looking at the boy, Shane said, it will be another fifteen minutes or so." The boy nodded and Shane walked over to the coach and sat down, proping his bear feet on the coffee table. He sat there and stared off into space, his mind drifting back to early that morning, when they had arrived back at headquarters just after daybreak.

((also, I love how I was up and listening to Pandora while I had a cut going through my main artery and bleeding half to death. Nice!))
Sarena cringed as the needle was placed into her arm.
"Alright, count back from 100."
"ninety-nine... ninety-eiighhh..." before even finishing the word she had fallen under the effects of the anesthesia. And so the dream began.
The snow crunched under her bare feet as her younger self walked the streets of New Orleans on this winter evening. She felt warmer to curl up in the corner alley, but it wouldn't be soon before long that she would die if she didn't get her circulation going. The rags on her body barely sufficed to cover her, let alone keep her warm. Walking down the street, she noticed a lack of people or even life itself. The buildings that lined the streets were all closed and boarded up.
Then something caught her eye; a gold bracelet lay half buried in the snow, its color being a notable contrast to the mute grey all around. Placing it on her wrist, the world began to change.
Suddenly, she wasn't in New Orleans, but in Egypt instead. The gold bracelet still on her wrist, she felt someone tap her from behind.
"Umm...may I get some more milk please?" a soldier asked her, and she instinctively poured some into his glass. "Thanks." he responded, then sat down around the fire with the rest of the soldiers.
Either they were not good whisperers, or she could just hear what they were saying in this dream, "Should we really turn her in?" one asked, then another replied, "We have no choice, the King wants her to heal his son." Then another looked at her as she tended to her flock.
"She's beautiful." the last one spoke up, leaving all silent but the crackling of the fire.
It ended there. Opening her groggy eyes, she found herself in a recovery bed, IV's and tubes stuck to her arms and neck. Sh!t, boss is going to kill me for this...
as if on que, the very man walked through her door, "Sarena..."
"I'm sorry. He wasn't like the others...he was much much stronger."
"I know. Shane and Jace told me everything. Don't worry about it, I just came to see how you were doing." he smiled.
"Oh" she said, a little surprised, "Well...I've been better. I just woke up about a minute ago. I don't know if I can get out by tomorrow and get back to work though. I haven't talked to--"
"Don't worry about that. Right now your orders are to get better." the man smiled, making her heart beat faster. They sat in silence for a while until she spoke up.
"Noah..." she said quietly, not looking at him, "I need to know...what is there between us?"she gazed up to see him walking over to her cot.
Not saying anything, he sat on the edge, leaned over and pressed his lips against hers. She was shocked, but not enough to break the kiss she had been wanting for so long.
No, leave it to Jace to walk in the room and ruin the moment. "O-oh, sorry...I'll uh...I'll be outside..."

Shane grunted as the van came to a stop and the back doors were opened.
"See you at the debreif Shane," Jace said before getting out of the van.
Shane grunted then unbuckled the seatbelts that secured the sleeping boy to the bench. He then nudged the kid in the arm to wake him up. The boy woke with a gasp and looked around the confines of the van in confusion.
"Take it easy," Shane said, putting a hand to the boy's chest and pushing him back down, "I'm, not going to hurt you."
The boy looked at Shane and his focused on him and calmed down.
"Can I let you go now?" Shane asked. The boy nodded and Shane removed his hand and the boy sat up. He then helped the boy out of the van and led him inside the main faclity. From there, he took the him to the DCS branch of the building and filled out the various forms to put the kid in a foster home. When that was done, he checked his watch and then took the boy by the hand and led him to his department's supervisor for his debriefing.
But as the passed the mess hall, the boy said, "I'm hungry."
Shane paused and looked at the downcast eyes of the kid, then sigh and led him into the mess hall and up to the rather short line. There wern't many people there yet, it was still five thirty in the morning, but there were still several. Shane ignored the open stares and smirks as he led the boy by the hand along the line, but when the boy leaned against him and sighed, a few cat calls and whistles sounded out from the gathered people. To which Shane promply meet with a death glare to the entire room, causeing it to empty of men in seconds, leaving the women, and the rest of thier breakfast behind. Shane snorted in irrition and turned back to the line where an annoyed chef ploped a scoop of hashbrowns and grits on a plate and handed it across.
"I wish you hadn't done that," the man said. "It's more work for me. Notthat Idon'tmind," he added, avoiding another death glare.
Grunting, Shane set the food on the tray, along with bacon, eggs, and a glass of juice, then took the boy to an empty table and sat down to watch the boy eat, taing comfort in the aura he was putting out that kept the few women that stayed behind away. After a few minutes, the boy had finished and Shane dumped the tray and dishes in the proper bin before taking the boy to the main office for his debreifing.
Just as he reached for the door, it opened and Jace walked out. "Took you long enough," he said, befire cringing in mock fear under another one of Shane's glares.
Shane then turned to the boy and said, "Wait here. I'll only be a few minutes, I hope." The boy nodded. "Keep an eye on him for a few minutes will you Jace," Shan said, walking into the room.
"What am I, a baby sitter?" Jace asked as the door started to close.
"For a few minutes," Shane replied before the door thudded shut. Shane then walked across the room and through another door and went through his debreifing.
It went pleasently enough, untill one of the men told him the news.
"What do you mean I have to take the kid with me?"
"The paperwork with DCS won't be finished untill the end of the week. Since you brought him here, he's your responcibility. Besides, we have no other rooms available to put him in."
"You mean he's staying in my quarters?" Shane yelled.
"You have a couch," the man said.
"Fine," Shane sighed. "How's agent Sarena doing?" he asked in a calmer tone.
"She is not yet out of surgery, but she is stable. Jace did a good job of bandageing her injury."
Shane nodded and asked, "If that is all, may I go?"
"Not quite. We're giving you and Jace the rest of the week off to recover. And so you can look after the boy."
Shane nodded, he could use a few days off, although he wanted to ge tback on the streets and hint down the priest killing vampire, he wouldn't find anything durring the daylight hours anyway. "Is that all?"
"Yes. Your dissmissed." Shane nodded and walked to the door. "One more thing," the man said, causing Shane to pause at the door.
"Yes?"
"A fresh case of your wine has been sent to your room."
"Thank you," Shane said, before leaving the room.
He left the recpetion room and returned to the hall out side. where Jace and the boy were waiting. Upon seeing him, the boy huried over and latched onto him, burring his face into his shirt once more.
"So what's to be done with the boy?" Jace asked.
"You weren't told?" Jace shook his head. With a sigh, Shane said, "He'll be staying with me for the next few days untill DCS can process the paperwork and find him a home. Untill then, you and I are both off."
Jace nodded and said, "At any rate, I'm turning in."
Shane nodded and Jace walked away down the hall. "Come on," he said to the boy, and walked the oposite direction. He took the boy to the elevators and hit the button for the thirty-first floor, just below the penthouse floor. After a few minuts ride, the doors opened and Shane led the boy down the carpeted hall to his room. Swiping his card through the reader, the door hissed open on hydralics and he led the boy in.
"Alright, grand tour. This is the living room, that's the kitchen. Through that door is the bathroom and through that one is the bedroom." The boy nodded and Shane took him to the door to the bedroom and pushed it open to revel a large, plush, king size bed. Shane pointed to it and said, "Get in and go to sleep. There should be some clean clothes for you to wear on the nightstand. Good night." He then closed the door and walked over to the kitchen where a large box sat on the counter and he took it to the couch. Tearing it open, he pulled out the first bottle of wine and began to drink. And that had lead up till now.
(end flash back)
Shane was brought out of his daydreaming by a knock on the door. Getting up, he walked over and answered it. Standing there, was a the delivery guy with a bored look on his face and a box of oatmeal. "Here you go sir," he said, before turning and walking off.
Shaking his head, Shane closed the door and walked to the kitchen where he preped the oatmeal and handed it to the boy, who ate it with contentment. "I got to show you the pleasure of finer foods," Shane said. The boy gave him a questioning look before going back to the oatmeal.
Just as the kid finished, the phone rang. Shane answered it and was told by a nurse that Sarena was out of surgery and had just woken up. Shane thanked her and hung up. "Put it together kid, we're going to visit a friend in the medical ward."
The boy nodded and hurred back into the bedroom, returning after a moment with a ball cap on. Shane shook his head and slipped on a pair of moccasians and lead the boy out of the room.
They took the elevator back down to the second floor, which ws technicaly the ground floor cause the first was below ground, and took him to the medical ward. After asking the nurse at the desk the room number and giving her his name, he lead the kid to the room and stopped outside. "By the way," Shane asked. "What's your name again?"
"James sir," the boy replied.
Shane nodded and opened the door, only to see his boss leaning over Sarena, kissing her. He smirked, but quickly hid it, feigning cinfussion and said, "O-oh, sorry...I'll uh...I'll be outside..."
He then closed the door and leaned agaisnt the wall, grinning. "Sarena and Noah huh? Well it's about time."
((damn that was longer thanI planed))

"...this beer is some nasty **** man." It was the sound of a burly teen, probably a sports player.
"Come on, drink it down, don't be a pussy." This one sounded a little higher, but more demanding. It didn't take Alex long to figure out that it was probably a sports team celebrating a victory. Which means it was a perfect time for him to finally feed. He could barely even remember the last time he drank the blood of a human. Normally he could only feed off of cows blood. Human blood seems more like a rare treat these days. He had to wait though till the sun fell below the horizon before he could strike. These were the only times where his sanity would return, as if his mind wanted him to think straight for a strike...

@ Mazn-Ya well she was bleeding but still very intentive. ;).))
Pandora's POV.
She had traveled for hours in that god forsaken coffin, but she was finally there. Not much had changed in the week she had been in New Orleans. Marius had kept the house quiet clean. When she entered she saw Marius, Merrick, and the new one, Daniel, sitting in the living room, drinking from tall wine glasses, no doubt the red liquid that filled them was blood.
"Long day?", spoke the great Marius. He mentioned for her to sit down in the empty chair, and she did.
"The Longest," Pandora replied. She slept most of the plane ride, and only awoke in the coffin a half hour away from Rome.
"Did you tell him you were leaving?"
"Yes, but I didn't tell him Merrick would return in my sted." Pandora reached for the wine glass that was placed in front of her, takiing a big swig, it being the only blood that had entered her body in over a day.
Merrick stood up quickly, as he wanted to leave as soon as possible. "I guess I'll be off then. Be sure to contact me if any new information about Azure arises. Daniel, don't let them push you around." Merrick had made Daniel after he and Aluru had split ways. He grabbed some money, a cellphone he had aquired from a kill the night before, and his rosary, the one his father had given him before he was killed by robbers. He oppened the door of the mansion, which lay on the edge of a high cliff, and rose into the air, flying away into the night.
Aluru's POV.
Aluru had watched nurses and doctor's enter her room countless times to check if she was alright. This Sarena women had the exact same features as 'she' did. He wondered if making Sarena a vampire would take away the pain that he had suffered and had yet to recover from when Mia was killed. Sarena even had the same laugh as her. Oh well. The years would pass, and she would eventually die, just like every other being in the world.
A man, who he hadn't seen before entered her room. They spoke for a minute, and Aluru lept into the streets and away from her jsut as the man reached down for a kiss.
The night was almost gone, and he made his way back to his home. As he entered the door, he could smell a vampire, there was no doubt in his mind. He tried to sense who it was, but this vampire clouded it's thoughts, making it impossible for Aluru to sense anything. When he entered his living room, he saw a face he hadn't seen for 30 years. Neither said a word, they just starred at each other.
Aluru walked slowly, as if unsure it was really him. As he reached him, upon realising that he was in fact real, Aluru wrapped his arms around him for a hug. "Merrick," he spoke softly, under his breath.
As they let go, Merrick chuckled a little, somewhat surprised that Aluru was himself real. "With a maker such as the dark prince Aluru, did you really think I would die so easily."
They both laughed, and hen sat silent, both remembering what it was like when they travelled the world together.
((Ok, so you may be thinking how Merrick got from Rome to New Orleans that fast, well you know what, SUE ME. :P.
Oh ya, Blue's posts in here=WIN.))

Alex was starting to get bored as the teens kept drinking. He started fiddiling with his clothing and some pieces of garbage that he was on top off. He then heard one of the teens loose their balance and fell down. They probably were already drunk.
"Ah man, its getting a bit late, and I'm starting to get wasted, lets get out of here."
They started to walk towards where Alex was hiding. He preped himself to get ready the moment one of them walked by the trash can. As soon as they stepped beside the can, Alex lept out from it and grabbed a medium sized teenager. Tackling him to the ground, he knocked the other one down as they were side by side. The larger one knocked his head against a brick wall and fell uncouncious.
The one he siezed was trying to fight with him, but Alex was desprate to feed. He took the teen and banged his head against the ground a few times. After a bit he lost conciousness. Alex sighed a bit, hoping none of this caught anyones attention. Waiting a moment, he then sank his fangs into the helpless teen. He didn't drain all the blood, he only took what he needed to sustain him for awhile. When he finished, he got up and looked at the teen. "I appologize young one, but on this speherical realm we call home, those like I must take measures to ensure that our life force isn't terminated.
He walked out from the small cove and headed towards the intersection. As he was looking around he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He turned to see it was a stop sign. His eye twitched a little. "No, you stop." He kept looking at the sign. He then snarled a little. "No, you stop..." It was if he was having an argument with the words written on it. "No, you stop!" He then jumped on the sign and pulled it off. Throwing it to the ground he started stomping on it with all his might...

"Only one would be here at this time of night" the priest killer thought to himself.
He opened the door and walked in.
"What's the point of knocking if you're going to come in anyways?" Crezess chortled.
"This isn't a time to laugh. Our plan has come to a vital point. If they catch onto us now, all of our precious work will have been a waste."
"I love it when you get all angry." Crezess said in a somewhat sensual tone. As Crezess leaned in for a kiss, he pushed Crezess away. " Why are you so angry??" Crezess demanded to know the answer.
"You act like this is some sort of game. We aren't facing associations like the one's before. They are smart and dangerous, one false and we could both be dead instantaneously."
"Maybe you could, but have you forgotten by great power?" Crezess opened another bottle of red. "I'm not going to be easily defeated, and anyone of them can't kill me." As he poured himself a glass he asked "Want some?"
"I think I'll pass" he said. He thought how foolish he was for planning this, and as much as he wanted to be with Crezess and how powerful he could be, how naive he was as well. "All I am saying is let's not get too ****y."
"Alright fine Ill try to tone it down a bit." Crezess comprimised "Remember, it's you who has to do all of the acting. You have to pretend you're on their side, no matter what the cost."
He was shocked with Crezess' sudden seriousness. "Well I am happy we're on the same page, dear. As much as I would like to stay and talk more..."
"I understand you have to go. Good luck, sweetie." With that Crezess gave him a kiss good bye.
"Thanks, Ill see you later. Don't forget your job either." With that he was off, hoping that no one noticed that he was gone for long."

Aluru snapped out of the daydream. He was remembering the time in London when they killed 50 policemen in one night. What a night.
"Pandora told me all about the vampire who has been killing the priests. Sorry to here. I hope your friend is allright."
Alurur smirked, saying "he can handle his own. I have sensed that this vampire is strong, but he is no match for a vampire of Pandora's strength. If I am to die, ask her to do me that on last favour."
Merrick nodded. "It is almost sunrise. Where in the hell do you sleep?"
Aluru pointed to the door that led to his basement sleeping quarters. "Just down there. No light enters, so there is no need for coffins. I like having a bed to sleep on. That is one thing that I had always missed."
They both got up and walked downstairs in the dark basement. Merrick lay down on the small bed, and Aluru lay on the king sized one. Aluru reached over and turned out the light that was on beside the bed. "Have a good sleep, for tomorow we feast."
Merrick laughed, and then laid his head upon the pillow, falling asleep in seconds. Aluru slept quickly aswell.

Sarena pulled away blushing, while Noah laughed sheepishly, rubbing a hand behind his head and standing up.
"He'll never keep his mouth shut." Sarena growled at the door.
Just then, Noah's phone rang. Picking it up, he answered, "Noah here...alright...yep...Yeah, I was just checking on agent Knowles...yeah, she's awake now, she's doing better.... Yep, I will... Alright, see you in a bit. Bye." Noah flipped the phone shut and clipped it back to his belt. "That was Teresa. They've just caught a lead on your vamp. She told me to tell you that she hopes you get better soon."
"Aw, how sweet. Although Agent Brandeis is going to have a hell of a time with our vamp. Shane and Jace could barely hold their own against him."
"Have faith, mon ange" he leaned over and kissed her on the forehead, lightly brushing his fingers over her cheek. She felt as a few strayed to her neck, sending tingles down her spine.
Sarena smiled and responded, "Aussi longtemps que vous êtes responsables, j'ai la foi" (as long as you are responsible, I have faith)
They could have stayed there forever, but a knock came at the door. Rolling her eyes, she allowed the visitor in, "Come in, Shane."

Marius, Daniel, and Pandora walked into a packed Dracula's Daughter. DD was a bar where many local vampires would come in search of food. Kind of ironic isn't it. Vampires pretending to be humans pretending to be vampires. The real humans pretending to be vampires were none the wiser.
A call shot out from behind the bar. "Marius, how great of you to come, we have much to talk about." The voice came from an older man, late 40's atleast, with short brown hair, with spots of white here and there. The three proceeded to walk behind the door, where the man showed them into the backroom. They all sat down as the man spoke. "Who's the new kid?"
"Daniel is his name. Merrick made him," spoke Marius. "Rufus, you have noticed the vampire slayings, have you not?"
"Slayings is an understatement. This is a downright slaughter. Azure, or somebody close to him I rekon. Could be Lucious for all I know. Nobody know's if he's dead er not. What do you think's goin' on here's?"
"Azure has awakened. This is not good. Strike down newborn's, and Children Of The Millenia alike, he cares not." Marius placed his hand on his head, as if in deep thought.
"Where in the hell is Aluru? Couldn't that b@stard help us out a lil'?"
"He will join us in due time. I know you keep in touch with Rhiona. You must call to her, and get her to join us. If we are to confront Azure, and possibly Lucious, then we will need all the help we can get." Marius turned to Daniel, who seemed lost. "Anything the matter?"
"No s**t something's the matter. I don't know who in the hell Lucious, or this Rhiona chick is, and all I know about Azure is he is the father of all vampires, and somehow, he isn't where he's supossed to be. Could somebody explain this all." Daniel was half way out of his chair when he finished. He slumped back, out of breath.
"I'll field that one." Everybody turned to Pandora as the words flowed out of her mouth. "When Azure was made into a vampire, he was exiled out of Ninevah. After 2 years of exile, he returned one night, to make his first vampire. The man he chose was his greatest soldier, Lucious. They traveled the world together. Around 650 BC. Lucious met a women one night in Rome. Her name was Rhiona. He visited her every night. They laughed together, cried together, untill one night Azure wanted to leave Rome. Lucious did not want to leave Rhiona, so he made her into a vampire. She hated him for it, and left into the night. From what she's told me, they never met again." Pandora chuckled. "You are the second person I've told stories of the olden days to in the past week."
"Allright. Still, I think going up agaisnt Azure is a bad idea. I mean, sure, even if we do get this Rhiona broad, doesn't mean we can beat him. Besides, how do we even know Azure is killnig these vampires. It could be some witch in France for all we know."
Marius spaced out for a minute, and then regained himself. "I think I know who can help us."

As he lead James back up to his room, his cell went off. Pulling it out, he answered it. "Shane here."
"Mr. Shane, that project you asked us to work on for you, we think we may have a break through."
"Alright, I'll be down to the lab in thirty," Shane said before snapping the phone shut.
"What was that about," James asked.
"Nothing really, just something I asked the boys in the lab to look into. I'm trying to find a certain vampire."
"Is it the one that made you?" James asked as they got on the elevator.
Shane glared at him, causing James to cringe against the wall of the car, "Who told you about that."
"J-Jace did. While you were in that meeting room."
"I'm going to kick his ass," Shane muttered before looking over at James. "Does knowing I'm also a vampire scare you?"
"Not really," James responded. "You said before, you wouldn't hurt me." Shane just snortted. "And you could have done, something, while I was asleep. But you didn't."
"I don't hurt kids. For the most part, I don't even like them."
"What about me?" Jace asked, looking at the floor.
Shane just grunted before saying, "You're an exception. Don't know what it is, but there's just something about you I like. Maybe its cause I'm an orphan too. I lost my parents many years ago. I never even knew my real mom, she died after giving birth too me after being attacked by a vampire. Some how, the attack transfered the vampiric genes to many, but the weaknesses never carried over. Of course, this was never realised untill after I was already in my forties and still looked to be the same age I am now. My father loved me as mush as a father could in the sixteen hundreds. He married after a short time and the woman he married hated me. I think she might have known, in some form or another, what I was. Or at least that I was different. Around the time I turned ten, my father died and my step mother took me with her to her house, where I was beatin and abused. I eventuly ran away and after a while, the vamperic side of me began to manifest.
"It took me a few years to understand what it was that I had become and how. I had recovered some of my father's old journals and learned of the attack on my mom by some creature, which I determined was a vampire, and swore since that day to hunt down the monster and kill it. And any other vampires I meet along the way. I am feared in many circles of vampires. I know a few know me as Blood Traitor. And a few others just call me vampire's bane. Frankly, I don't care. After about a hundred years, a new group began to arise in Europe, called Requim, this place. They were founded to hunt and kill vampires. I guess they learned of me and thoughtI was dangerous. They attacked me severl times over the decades, untill about two hundred years ago, when an agent approached me and requested my help in hunting a high level vampire. After a while, I agreed. I had hoped that it may have been the vampire I sought. I didn't know how I would be able to tell at the time.
"Anyway, we killed it and afterwards, I was offered employment at Requim, under the conditions that I only drink the blood they provide. In return, I would no longer be hunted by them. I also made it a condtion that I would be allowed to used any, all, and futre resorces that the organization had to find the vampire I sought. And from there, I've been working within the organization. I worked solo untill a ten years ago, when Sarena as assigned as my handler. A five years latter, Jace was assigned as my partner. He was about the same age you are now. We didn't get along that well at first, he hated working with a vampire about as much as I hated working with a partner. But after a while, we got along. So, in a nutshell, that's my story."
"That's a rather large nutshell," James said as the elevator doors opened.
Shane snortred agian. "I guess I could have made it a little shorter." Once they entered the room, Shane said, "So I'm taking off for a while. If you get hungry, just throw something from the fridge in the microwave. Most should take only a minute or two. Kick back and watch some tv till I get back." James nodded and Shane walked out the door as it hissed shut.
Twenty minutes latter, he walked into the lab.

He did an awkward side step as he got closer and closer. One of the bouncers noticed him out of the corner of his eye and went over to him. "Hey, you need help or something?"
Alex looked up at him with suspicsion. "I do not require the assistance that you offer me man of the bouncing!" Alex walked away from there, only to come back a little later. He hid himself among some trash cans and decided to look around the building. He barely snuck past some guards and jumped into the dumpster in the back to avoid some more. After looking out of the dumpster for a moment he decided it was safe and went in through a door in the back.

"And what did you find?"
"We beleave we have come very close to identifying the vampire you seek," said another tech. "With the latest advancments in blood screening technology, and with the samples you provided, we have been able toconclude that the vampire that attacked your mother and created you was a truely ancent one. We're talking a few thousand years old."
Shane's ears percked up at this. "Do you have a possable name?"
"We beleave it to be the vampire of many names."
"That don't help much."
"But think of this Shane-Sama," an Asian tech said. "We have also been looking into many old stories and descriptions, and we think that some of the legendary vampires, Dracula, Alucard, and even one named Azure, are all really one and the same."
"This is not very encoragind news," Shane said. If that's the case, than the vampire I sek to destroy is supposed to be the strongest vampire ever."
"Yes, that does seem to be the case."
"Alright," Shane said, standing up. "Is there anything else?"
"Yes," the Asian said. "We've completed the repairs and adjustments to your gun as per your request." The man walked over to a table and lifted a large handgun. "The modifications were not a problem, she can now fire just about any calabur bullet you load, as long a its still a nine mill." He pointed to a set of clips resting on the table as well, each with a different colored band on it. "The red is 24, the green is 32, and the blue is 16. The white band is you silver bullets."
"What about the yellow?" Shane asked.
"The new kind you asked for," the tech said, taking a bullet out of the clip and holding it up. Shane could see that part of the bullet was transparent and inside was a transparent fluid. "These are the new Flash Bullets. They have a half second delay one them. Shoot a vampire with one of these, and in half a secnd after inpact, the fluid activates, triggering an UV flash from inside the vampire, roasting it from the inside out. Can drop and human too, though its not going to be as fatal."
Shane nodded and took the gun and slipped it into the holster one the table before putting it on his belft and picking up the clips. With a practiced hand, he pulled the gun out, slapped in a green clip, and holstered the gun once more.
"Thanks," he said, turning away and walking towards the door. "I've got some time off, so I'm going out to test it. I'll let you know latter how it worked."
"We hope for a positive feed back Shane-Sama," the Asain said as the door closed behind him.
With a grin, Shane slipped his headset mike on and flipped the talk button. "Garage, prep my bike. I'm going out."
"Yes sir," came the reply.
Shane grinned as he turned the radio off and slipped it back into his pocket.

Pandora's POV.
"Well don't just sit there, spit it out," said Rufas, as he took a sip of his blood filled glass.
"I can't jsut tell you, I have to show you," spoke Marius.
Daniel jumped out of his chair, anxious to leave. "Well then, let's get gonig. We don't have all night." He chuckled to himself at the irony of what he said. Pandora and Marius rose from their chairs, but Rufas sat still, as if frozen in time. "You comin old man?" Rufas then did something he hadn't done in over 150 years, he breathed. Vampires don't need air, and therefore don't need to breath, but he did it. "What in the..."
Just as quickly as he started breathing, he stopped, as if choknig on the air.
Pandora's eyes wided, fileld with a sadness, the same one she had experienced when Thorne lay dead in her arms. "No." She ran to Rufas' side, and bit her wrist, letting the blood flow into his mouth, hopeing that would save him. It was no use. Just like that, he lay dead in his chair. "Azure. NO! God damn him. First Throne, now Rufas. Who else will he strike down. You Marius? Aluru? Vampires all around the world are suffrering at his hands, and we no nothing of where he is, or where he will be next. I will travel to New Orleans, and get Merrick and Aluru. Marius, you and Daniel must find Rhiona."
She left the bar in a hurry, blood dripping down her wrists, leaving Marius and Daniel in the back with the now dead Rufas.
"This is getting bad preatty fast," Daniel said. Marius appeared to not here him. He just stared at his dead friend.

After he entered HQ, he tried to track Noah's scent, so he could run into him "accidentally", but to his dismay he was in a room with 2 other scents. One was too unclear to know the person for sure, but the other was definantly Shane. He started to think about Shane and how he knew him all to well. He explained the story to himself, something very strange that he often did. "Shane's life is a tragic tale. His mom got killed by a very familiar vampire causing him to become a vampire, his farther than died, he ran away and eventually he was asked to join the requim. He accepted and has done exceptionally. I believe he is the only vampire who as ever been in the requim. There of course have been others like myself who are unknowingly vampires. And of course...." his thoughts started to trail off. He decided to wait untilNoah departed the room to talk to him. Fortunately he did not have to wait long. Noah came out in a matter of moments.
"Noah can I talk to you?"he said politely.
What's the problem, Blanch" Noah responded.
"Well sir, I have heard about a new target of teh requim's. A vampire who has been killing priests and seems to be very powerful. I would really like to work on this particular mission."
"Why do you want to be on this mission?"
"If the vampire is the one I am thinking of, I have....personal issues to deal with him"
"I see..." Noah started to think 'This kid is bizzare. He joins the requim only a couple of months ago and without much experience he wants to take a vampire who might be Azure himself on?? It's too dangerous, I can't allow him to commit suicide' "...the position you are in, but you haven't been part of the requim long enough to take on someone with this much power"
"I understand, sir" He said. He started to think 'I need to be a part of this mission for the plan to work, but how could I get him to change his mind?? No I can't, but I could change someone else's. If I kill Noah and have him saying in his notes to make someone foolish in charge...yes that would work perfectly"

When Pandora travelled, she flew high and silent, so nobody would see or hear her. She had been in the news one to many times to let it happen again. She was now above Western Italy. Italy had a beautiful countryside, untouched by human hands. Hills rolled on for miles. She tried to speak with Aluru, but he had closed his mind to any unwelcome visitors. She had fed thoroughly before leaving Rome, eating upon the weak and the drunk.
She still had a few hours before needing to sleep, and hoped to be in America by then. Oh, how wrong was she.
She dropped out of the sky, and stood in front of a tomb. Her father was buried inside. There wasn't a village for miles. The tomb looked almost Christesque, built into the side of a small hill. She was seconds away from leaving, when a pair of hands grabbed onto her shoulders, and slammed her into the hill, with a force that she had never felt. It almost knocked her unconcious.
Her attacker backed off, and as she turned around to face it, she knew who it was right away. The king of the dead was surely, and truely back. He had fine black hair, and still looked like the king he once was. He had a presence to him, that could put anybody into a trance. She felt her death was near, as she could not face him alone.
His mouth opened not once, but his voice was loud inside her head. I will purge this world. The imperfect will embrace death, and but a few will join me in my reign. I will raze this world to the ground, leaving only the finest creations to walk the earth. You tell your maker that.
In all her years as a vampire, she had never been afraid, untill now. He shot up into the air, dissapearing in a flash of darkness. The words he spoke to her, pierced her body like a dagger. The imperfect will embrace death? He is not just killing at random then. She knew Marius would be allright for now, for he was the closest to a perfect creation she had ever none. She took one last look at her father's grave, and pressed on to New Orleans at an alarming rate.
((I have something interesting planned for Aluru in my next post. :).))

He knew that he was going to have to kill Alex once and for all, a job that he should of complated decades ago. "This will be a battle for the ages" He started to think "Still, he won't be able to get away like before. The person who saved him has already been killed." His thoughts were racing as he made a counterattack.

Alex's rage has been hightened, the reason why though escaped him. He knew this person but forgot their name. This agitation was forcing him to attack him though. "You whose face is familiar but name I have misplaced, what brings you to the back of this building of dancing?" Suddenly the man retaliated with a kick to the face. Alex ducked quickly, and decided it wasn't a good idea to fight, so he started running as fast as he could.
(And so the chase begins)

Sarena took it and smiled back politely, "Thank you. I feel much better."
"Just remember not to work yourself too hard. Get a lot of sleep, veg out on the couch. Doctors orders." The woman laughed
"Finally I have an excuse!" Sarena laughed back
She walked out of the hospital and tugged her coat close. It was dark and chilly outside, but for some reason, she didn't feel like going home. Perhaps it was from all the sleep she had that day. Getting in the cab, she began to give directions to her house, but then stopped.
"Actually...can you go to the New Orleans Requiem?"
"Can do." The man turned the cab around, then headed off in the said direction.
She watched as the rain began to fall outside, the droplets racing down the side of the window. Sarena pulled her coat closer; she liked the rain, but watching it fall so freely to the ground, she felt tears well up in her eyes.
Why are you crying? Noah's not mad at you for losing the vampire, in fact, he even kissed you. she thought to herself But still...I feel so empty. I feel like I've had a big shell inside, no one's gotten through... yet once it was broken, it wasn't even hiding anything. Just a hollow shell.
A tear ran down her cheek, but her eyes remained glued to the passing scenery. She hadn't even noticed that they had arrived at the Requiem.
"Miss...Miss!" the man had to slightly shout to wake her up from her gaze.
"Huh, uh. Here." She handed him some money, "Thanks."
"Mhm." he nodded as she shut the cab door. As drove off as she walked to the entrance, the rain poured down and plastered her unkept hair to her face. Once she was inside, she felt a sense of relief, a warmth, that she had forgotten this place held for her.
This is Sarena Knowles. Her parents died in a fire, and she nearly did, but the firefighters found her." a gentle hand set on her shoulder, as her big violet eyes looked up at a woman with pretty red hair. The woman knelt down to be at the same eye level.
"My name is Karrisa. Do you like chicken wings?"
Sarena was taken aback, but nodded meekly.
"Good, 'cause I'm starving. How about we go get something to eat. And I know just the place that has the best chicken wings ever!" The red head smiled widely. Sarena knew she'd like this foster parent.
The memory jumped forward, seven years later to when she just turned 17
"KanKan, I'm home! I brought dinner!" Sarena called to Karrisa, carrying a few large paper bags. When she entered the kitchen, however, she froze, dropping everything in her hands.
"Oh my god..." Sarena gasped, then ran over to Karissa, who lay in a pool of blood. "Kankan! No!" She went to press her neck to check for a pulse, but was horrified to see two deep puncture wounds on her neck. Perfect circles that had drained the life of her best friend.
She closed her eyes as she looked out the window of the loby, And then I came here, dedicated my life to hunting out those ruthless, bloodsucking fiends. Those disgusting creatures chose the wrong person to mess with. she narrowed her eyes, gently running her fingers over the stitches in her neck.
In truth, they had been her own fault. But it was either that, or she let that b*stard suck her blood. As she punched the vampire away with the last of her might and her only free hand, she was also gripping her knife. It was a mistake that took care of the vampire in front of her, with her knuckles colliding with his face, while the carefree blade sticking out of her fist sliced her neck.
I will never let a vampire taste my blood as long as I live. She determined, her mind so concentrated on the thought, that when someone spoke to her, she jumped.
"You're out of the hospital so soon? I was going to drive over to see you." Noah stood there shocked, as sarena sat on a chair in the lobby.
"Oh! Well, I was going to go home, but I was kinda hungry, so I decided to see if you wanted to go get something to eat with me." she stood up, "I figured since you usually work pretty late that I'd be able to catch you here."
"You read my mind. I'm starving." He smiled, "How about Mimi's?"
"Sounds like a plan!" She smiled, walking out the door with him.
((Don't kill him, Coz. 1. he's my character, 2. I have plans for him.))

On the street the rain was now starting to fall more heavily. Looking both ways, Shane crossed the street to the night club on the other side and walked up to the front of the long line.
"Sir," the bouncer said, "you can't just-" Shane bared his fangs at the man and hissed slightly. "I'm sorry sir. Please, go on in."
Shane smirked as he walked in among the shouted arguments of the people waiting in line, walking right past the sign that said, "Dracula's Daughter."
As he passed through a hidden meatal detector it went off, causing several heads to turn. "Please remove any and all metal objects from your person and place them on the table," a second bouncer said.
With a contemptous sniff that proved the bouncer was a vampire, Shane slid hi hand under his coat and grabbed his blade. With a quick swing, he beheaded the vampire.
"It's the bane!" someone shouted. "He's here!"
The majority of the crowd panicked and began running for the other exits, while a few burly vampires, and several clueless humans, remained.
Kicking aside the rapidly disintigrating body of the bouncer, Shane brought his blade up, causing the remaining humans to scream in panic and run after the vampres. Shane grinned as four large vampires, almost twice his size, surrounded him.
"Where's your boss?" Shane asked, the grin still on his face.
"You're not going to touch the boss," one of the vampires said in a gruff voice.
"You want to see him, you haveto go through us," said another.
"If that's the case," Shane replied, and lunged forward slashing with his blade, sending the arm of the largest of the vampires flying as it turned to ash. The vampire screamed in pain and grabbed his wound.
"Enough!" a voice shouted, just before the other three could attack.
Shane looked over a the one who had spoken and saw the night club owner. "How good to see you Gouldanas," Shane said, barely holding his smile.
"Indeed," the man replied. "You know this club has an agreement with Requim correct, Mr. Shane. It is to be a safehouse for vampires to avoid persecution."
"Your goons attacked first," Shane replied.
"And my bouncer?"
"He should have known it was me and left me alone."
The man sighed. "I don't know how Requim puts up with you."
"I wonder that myself sometimes," Shane replied.
"Why are you here?"
"I'm here on a personal matter."
"Ahh yes. Your obsisive hunt. Not sure how I can help."
"I'm looking for a vampire."
"What else is new?"
Shane smirked, "This vampire, I don't intend to kill. Yet."
"Oh, and what is this vampire's name?"
"Aluru."

Aluru's POV.
Aluru paced his mansion. Pandora had spoke to him, telling him not to leave untill she arrived, for Azure was definetly awake. He didn't want to listen to her, but Merrick had convinced him to stay inside. "I can't stand this," shouted Aluru, to the very silent, and somewhat amused Merrick. Merrick sat back further into his chair and laughed.
"You never were fond of following orders were you?" He shook his head laughing, and crossed his long legs.
"And you are? I feel trapped, like mice in some sick experiment. If Azure really is killing vampires from thousands of miles away, could he not still kill me inside?" He continued to pace back and forth, even more rapidly now. Merrick could see the anger building inside him. "**** this," he screamed. Aluru grabbed up his coat, and left out the front door, leaving Merrick to himself.
"You always were stubborn."
Aluru felt violent that night. He didn't jsut want to feed, he wanted a fight. He wanted a creature that could struggle in his arms before succumbing to the same fate as every other creature before it.
He headed to Main Street, where the vampire bar Dracula's Daughter was. He remembered how lively the one in Rome was, and how this one paled in comparrison. Mostly because he would scare off or kill alot of the vampires who fed in New Orleans, but that was besides the point. He climbed into a balcony across the street, awaiting a vampire to leave those doors into the street. He didn't have to wait long. After about 5 minutes of waiting, he spotted a vampire, who himself was surrounded by 2 drunken females. This would be fun. He would let this vampire feed on the whores, and then he would go in for his kill.
The vampire lead the women to a motel room down the street, and began feeding. The vampire took his time, and Aluru was getting anxious. Aluru waited outside the door, and as the vampire oppened it, Aluru jumped in and pinned him to the floor. The vampire tried to fight him off, but to no evail. Aluru was too powerfull. He chuckled at the vampire's futille(sp?) attempts, and bent over his struggling victim, takeing a huge bite out of his neck. The more Aluru fed, the weaker the vamprie got, untill atlast, he was dead.
Aluru wipped his blood covered mouth, and left, leaving the bodies as they were. He decided to roam Main Street, in hopes that another vampire would fall into his grasp.

"He's not a regular," Gouldanas said. "He tends to scare the crowds away like you do. Mostly because he sees New Orleans as his town and does want others feeding of his prey. So he has a tendency to kill a lot."
Shane snorted. "Who knew, another vampire that kills his own. Must be after my heart," Shane said with a smirk. Do you know where he lives?"
"Why are you looking for him?"
"He's my only lead for finding the one I seek."
"And what makes you think he would know?"
"A hunch," Shane said, before pulling out his gun and pointing it at Gouldanas's head. "Now, where does he live?"
"He lives in a mansion not far from here," Gouldanas said, writing an address down on a napkin then sliding it to Shane.
"Thanks," Shane said, turning away and walking toward the door. "I guess I can wait to kill you."
"As long as I stay here, you can't."
"You got to leave sometime. And I could now, if I choose. First night off in years."
"Perhaps next time Vampire Bane."
"Perhaps," Shane said, disappearing through the metal detector and out the door, where the bouncer glared at him and flexed his muscles. "You sure you want to?" Shane asked, causing the larger vampire to shake his head and back off. "My loss. Oh well."
Shane walked across the street and entered the alley to retrieve his motorcycle and a moment later, was racing down the street toward the address he was given.

Aluru had spotted a female vampire, and was all set to kill her, when he sensed Pandora. She was in New Orleans, and she seemed distressed. How luckey that vampire was. He ran quickly down the streets of New Orleans to his mansion, so quickly that to the human eye, he wasn't even there. When he reached his mansion, his jaw dropped. The door to the fence was ripped open, and blood was splashed over the front steps. He barred his teeth and ran in, only to find Pandora, with a dying Merrick in her hands.
Aluru stood frozen for a second, a tear forming in his eye. Pandora said nothing, as she looke up at him. He ran to his friend's side, holding on to him as if it would revive him.
"Az...Az...Azu," and those were Merrick's last words. Aluru sat there by his side along with Pandora as he died.
They sat there for minutes before Pandora spoke. "I tried to stop it. He was too strong."
Aluru slammed his fist into the floor, breaking some of the tile. "This isn't happening. THIS ISN'T F**KING HAPPENING!" Aluru was screaming at this point, past the point of sheer anger. He loathed Azure for what he had done. He calmed down before he spoke again. "You send Marius a message. Tell him to gather up any other vampire he can find, adn to get his ass down here." Aluru got up and headed to his makeshift library upstairs, and as he walked up the stiars he put a gapeing hole in the wall with his fist.
Pandora moved from the floor to a chair, and sent a message to Marius. My love, you must come to New Orleans with Daniel, and Rhiona if you can find her. Merrick is dead. Aluru is about to go on a rampage. Pandora then closed her mind, and sat back farther in the chair, taking in really what was happening.
Marius POV.
"She's Rhiona? Doesn't look that strong to me," said Daniel, pointing to light skinned, blonde haired Rhiona. Marius smacked the young vampire in the back of the head, telling him to respect his elders. "That was uncalled for." Marius raised his hand, silencing Daniel.
"Contiue," said Marius.
Rhiona spoke in an elegant, almost sensual voice. "Like I was saying. Lucious visited me about 20 years ago, asking me to once again join him in his crusade. When I refused, he got angry, and said I would be sorry. He said the old one would rise again. I didn't think he had the power to do it, but now that I think of it, if anybody could awaken Azure, it would be him. I will help you with anything you need."
"I thank you greatly for that. I," but he was interupted by Pandora's voice in his head. My love, you must come to New Orleans with Daniel, and Rhiona if you can find her. Merrick is dead. Aluru is about to go on a rampage. Rhiona, who had great powers could hear it too. She looked over at a concerned Marius, and nodded to him. They both knew what they had to do.
A once again confused Daniel spoke again. "What's going on?"

As Shane came to the room, he could feel the rage emenating from the other vampire. He suspected there weren't many vampires that were empaths. He knew his birth mother was, from the documents his father had left, so he guessed that was where he got it from. Such rage would be to his advantage, as it would cloud the other vampire's sences. He pushed the door open and said, "We need to talk. I want to find Azure. Can you help me?"

Aluru turned his head to the door, and upon seeing Shane, gave out an enraged chuckle. He spoke in a way as if he was dreaming. "30 years. 30 years, and after 2 weeks, he's gone. This really is a curse. No matter how much you love somebody, they will either grow apart from you, or they will die. Sarena. Hmm, how much she reminds me of Mia. You will lose her over the years. You will live on, and she will die. Unless of course you make her a vampire. But then Azure would probably kill her anyway. If you want my help, I will give it to you. Know this though, that he will not just end us vampire's lives. Every friend you have at the Requim, Jace, Sarena, they will most likely die. Hell, I doubt me and you will even survive." Aluru set down the book he was reading, and got up to face Shane. "Are we to head to your headquarters?"

They left the mansion, Shane heading towards his motercycle, and Pandora and Aluru heading towards the garage. The door opened to reveal a 2001 Nissan Skyline GTR. Aluru stepped behind the right hand side wheel, and Pandora got into the passenger seat.
Shane drove off, and Aluru followed. It was a short drive to the Requim headquarters. Shane stopped in front of the building as Aluru pulled up beside him. "Where should I park it?"

After ripping off another stop sign and beating it, he took off once again into the night. After he crossed through an alley, he saw two vehicles fly by at an alarming rate. As they passed by him, he could feel the power of the occupants emenate from them. "These mechanical beasts of the asphalt contain those of which I seek..." He stood staring down the road for a minute. Snapping out of his trance he took a step forward and then looked up. "Damnit Barry, nows not the time!" He then followed off after the car and mortorcycle at a speedy pace.

Shane turned the bike towards a sloping ramp and said, "This way," and led them down into the parking garage. Rolling up to the hidden door, Shane pointed toward some empty parking spaces and said, "Park over there." He then got off the bike and walked it up to the door before moving the sign and punching in the sequnce to open the door. When Aluru and Pandora cuaght up, he led them inside, taking the bike in and moving it over near an oil stain and rack of other motorcycles.
Shane lead them up to he first cheeck point and motioned for the guard to stand down. "These are my guests. I'll take responasability for them. We're expecting at least three more." The guard nodded and waved the three of them through, saying, "The boys upstairs are going to love this."
Shane just grinned and lead the two to the next security point and turned to them. "I must request you hand over any weapons you have," he said, pulling out his gun and handing it to the man at the counter, along with his knife, and katana.

Aluru barred his teeth. "These are the only weapons I posses." Pandora smirked at his c*cky remark. They passed through the security point, and headed towards the elevator. Shane pressed the button, and within seconds the elevator door opened. They walked in and Shane pressed the butoon for the 4th floor. The elevator was cramped, but they would make due for a few floors. "Where exactly are we going?" said Aluru, looking at Shane.

When the door opened, he lead them up to a desk and took a moment to talk to the woman there, before she handed him two clipboards. He brought them over and handed them to Aluru and Pandora. "Fill these in. After that, you'll get your picture taken and a guest badge made.
Ten minutes latter, Shane took the two badges and handed them over. He then took the key and smiled at the room number. "Someone's got a sence of humor. They stuck you next door to me. I've been wanting that room for the past decade." Shakeing his head, Shane lead the two to a large eleveator and took it up to his floor. He than lead them to their door and said, "This is your room, that one's mine. While here, if you need to feed, please partake of the wine inside, its a blood wine. If you need anything, just knock. And just so you know, my partner is in the room on the other side of me."
Shane then tossed Aluru the key and walked up to his door and swiped his badge, opening the door.

"I am sorry my dark prince. I know loseing Mia was hard enough, but Merrick aswell. If I could have stopped him, I would have."
Aluru snapped. "Don't you speak her name. You didn't know her. Sorry. I will not be satisfied untill Azure is in the ground for good."
Pandora sympathised with Aluru. Thorne, like Merrick, was a brother to her, and he too was killed. "There may be a problem. In the old scriptures that I was reading, it explains that if Azure is to die, so will the vampire race, and the only way to save it is for a vampire to eat upon his heart, becoming the king of vampires. I don't know if those writings speak truth however."
Aluru chuckled at the tought of devouring Azure's heart. It seemed poetic actually. "Then eat his heart I will. Goodnight."
Aluru lay his head of the pillow, as did Pandora, both lulling into a deep sleep.
Aluru awoke half an hour later, screaming the name "Marius." He was in the building, and he was ready to fight.
Marius' POV.
Marius looked over at the scarred Daniel, and the very calm Rhiona. "Don't be scarred Daniel. Me and Rhiona can not be killed by such foolish mortals." Every human on the main floor of the Requim building had their guns trained on Marius and Daniel.

Crezess had just slayed another priest when Azure sent him a message: I took care of Merrick, if you want to stay alive kill Pandora.
Crezess knew that he must follow his orders. "It's just like killing the priests, I have no say" Crezess thought to himself. He then went to find the tracker a device that Crezess and he used to find targets. He then saw something very suspicious "Why the f*** is Shane, Pandora, Aluru, Marius, Daniel, and Lucious at the requim HQ??" he said loudly. "It's going to be a lot harder to kill Pandora, if all of these othere vampires protect her. What am I supposed to do?? I can probably take on 1 or 2 of those vampires, but 5 is impossible!!! I'll just have to be stealthier and stronger than ever." Crezess thought. He knew that if Pandora wasn't dead when he left the requim he'd be dead instead.

"There is another infiltraiting vampire in sector C-6" Lucious reported to the requim through his radio, "Will be there immediately" a voice replied. Lucious preceeded to counterattack with a kick to the stomach.

They slammed the door open, their fangs barred, to see Marius, RHiona, and Daniel surrounded, many guns pointed their way.
"If you kill them, none of you will see the light of day," said an enraged Pandora. All this time she was calm, even when Merrick was killed, but now she was mad.

"Where have you been?" the boy said, on the verge of tears. "You've been gone so long. I was bored and lonely." At that point, he did break down and start to cry. "I thought I was going to be all alone again," he sobbed.
Shane wrapped his arms around him and pulled him close. "I'm sorry little one," he whispered into his hair. "I had a few personal matters to tend to and they took longer than I had planed. The last thing I would want is to hurt you."
Shane couldn't believe himself. After his second wife had died over two hundred years ago, he had sworn to himself that he would never care for anyone again. He couldn't deal with the pain of losing someone close to him again. This child was having a profound impact on him. I care about him, Shane thought to himself. I feel bad when he is upset, and just being around him somehow makes me fell relaxed. That's when it dawned on him, Once more, I have someone I want to protect.
Shane pulled James into a tighter embrace and said, "Thank you."
Looking up from Shane's arms, James asked, "For what."
Shane burried his face in James's hair. "For giveing me a purrpose once more," he said, a tear rolling gently off his cheek and getting lost in James's hair.
James fell silint and Shane just sat there on the floor, holding him for a moment, untill James started to fidget. Shane let him go James got up and pulled Shane to his feet. "You must be hungry," the boy said, dragging Shane by the hand into the kitchen.
"Now that you mention it," Shane thought to himself, as the boy opened the fridge and began digging inside of it. Shane leaned against the counter as James closed the door and turned around to show him a plate with a large piece of cake.
"You want some?" James asked.
Shane looked at the cake a moment before his eyes drifted up to rest on the boy's neck. Shane was hungry alright, and he didn't want cake. He took a step toward the boy and felt his fangs start to bare themselves. As a look of fear began to spread across James's face, Shane forced himself to stop and avert his gaze. Thankfully, it fell on a fresh bottle of blood wine that was setting on the counter. Shane reached over and grabbed the bottle, ripping the cork out with his teeth and quickly drained half the bottle. When he paused to take a breath, he thunked the bottle down on the counter and looked over at James with sadness in his eyes. "I'm sorry. I-I sometime have trouble controling myself." James took another step back and set the plate on the nearby table. "Please," Shane said, staying where he was, "I'm sorry."
James looked at Shane for a moment, then broke into tears and ran to Shane, hugging him. "No, I'm sorry Shane," the boy said. "I should have known. I should have mentioned that some wine was brought."
Suddenly laughing, Shane knelt down and pulled James into another hug. "I guess we're both sorry than."
James was about to say something else when he felt his radio buzz. Letting James go, he stood up and took it out. "Talk to me."
"Shane, get down here, three vampires have just infiltrated the building."
Shane snapped to attention, "Hold them there if you can, but do not shoot. I reapeat, hold your fire."
"Sir?"
"Just do it, I'm on my way." Shane grabbed his coat and turned toward James. "This time, I promise to come back soon. This won' take long to sort out." He then rushed out the door and into the elevator, hitting the ground floor button. As the elevator started to move, he took his badge and swiped it along a hidden reader, activating the emergency express function. The elevator lurched as it speed up to moving three times as fast and dinged the first floor in less than a minute.
Stepping out, Shane saw the stand off and moved forward. "All of you, stand down," Shane said loudly. He turned to the three vampires and saw Aluru and Pandora exit the stairwell.
"If you kill them, none of you will see the light of day," said Pandora.
"Take it easy, all of you."
"But sir," one of the men said, "They are vampires, and they entered illeagaly."
"I told you to stand down soilder," Shane said venomusly.
"But sir," another man said.
"I SAID LOWER YOUR F**KING WEAPONS," Shane bellowed. NOW!!" Instanly, dozens of guns fell to the floor.
He turned toward Aluru and his friends. "And you three would have been better to wait outside and tell Aluru you were here. I could have brought you in with out touble." Shane sighed. "But that was my oversight. I'm sorry."
Turning back to the men he said, "There is another infiltrator spotted in secotr C-6. Find him. Either catch him or drive him off. And if you must, drop him. I'd prefer him alive."
"Yes sir!" the many gathered men said before picking up there guns and running off.
Turning back to the other vampires, Shane said, "Again, I'm sorry. Please, come with me. There are some forms you need to fill out, so this won't happen again."
((and the floor they are on is something like the thirty-first or so))

"Ah, that was great. I haven't felt so relaxed in a long time!"
Noah smiled, then leaned over and kissed her once again, this time with passion. He trailed his lips down her jaw, below her ear, and then to her neck.
"You have such fresh, untainted blood" he spoke menacingly, and before she could react, she felt two sharp teeth penetrate her neck
"AH!" she gasped, opening her eyes wide to find herself riding in Noah's car.
"Are you alright?" He asked from the drivers seat, concern ringing in his voice
Sarena caught her breath, "ye-yeah...I guess I was dreaming...just a dream..." she shook her head. "I don't know how I fell asleep, but I guess I just dozed off."
Noah pulled into the parking lot in front of Mimi's. "Well, we're here. You need help?"
"Nah, I'm fine." she nodded, unbuckling her seatbelt.
She went to get out of the car, but Noah stopped her. "Wait here." Getting out of the car, Noah walked around the front of it, then opened her door for her.
"My, aren't you a gentleman?" she laughed, getting out. For now, all memories of her nightmare vanished.

Crezess entered the requim under his own fake identity: Paul Toa. He had to find Pandora, but according to the trackr she was with 5 other vampires. "In order to distract the other 3, I am going to need Lucious's help. This mission can't be done tonight." Crezess thought. He went to sector C-6 where Lucious was on the tracker. They talked:
"Blanch" Crezess chuckled "We need to talk"
"Sure...Paul" Lucious responded and with that they both went back to their home.

"So how did Merrick die?" spoke Daniel.
Pandora starred at the young one, sadness filled her eyes. "I arrived just as it was happening. Azure grabbed him up, and bit into his neck, with a force like I have never seen before. I tried to help him, but Azure was too strong for both of us. I was more scared of how Aluru would react."
"****ty deals eh," said a very unfazed Daniel.
"Oh, how it was to be young," spoke Rhiona. She was the oldest of the 5, and surely the wisest. "If you even make it through this debacle, you will learn what it's like to lose someone near to you." Rhiona looked around the room at the 3 others, and felt somewhat out of place. "I'm going to go check up on Aluru."
She got up, and left the room, only walking a few meters down the hall to her's and Aluru's room. She knock on the door. "Aluru, may I come in." No answer came back "Aluru," she said a little louder. She banged on the door again before yelling, "ALURU!" She took a few steps back and ran into the door, knocking it right off it's hinges. Aluru lay on the floor, and the room was a mess. Glass from the wine bottle was shattered, the bed sheets were ripped, and the lamp was smashed.
Aluru starred at the pendant his mother had given him before he was born into darkness. It was in the shape of a wolve's head, made of pure silver. It was one of the few things he had kept in his possesion all these years. He could slightly hear the others talking, but he paid no real attention. He looked back at his pendant, and when he looked at, Azure was in his room, standing tall. Aluru moved back into his bed, stiff as a board.
"Do not be scared my dark prince. I am not here to kill you."
Aluru was confused. He killed Merrick with no mercy, and was now in his room trying to be friends. He calmed himself, knownig that if Azure wanted to kill him, he would have.
"Be wary of the the Requim. Not all are who they say. Seek the one they call Paul. Do with his life as you wish."
Aluru stared at Azure. There was fire in his eyes. Aluru contemplated what he was about to do, and then lashed out at Azure. He slammed the vampire king to the ground, taking a bite out of his neck. For some reason, Azure didn't struggle, he just let Aluru feed. The king's blood flowed through Aluru. It was bette than anything he had ever tasted. Before Aluru knew what hit him, he was the one on the ground. The blood was too strong, and it made him fly off Azure. The king got off the ground, and started destroying the room. He then gave one last look at Aluru and dissapeared before his eyes. Aluru heard Rhiona yelling his name, but he was too weak. He blacked out just before she ran into the room.

Walking out of the bathroom, she noticed the lightning outside her window and instantly lowered her guard, assuming it was just a flicker of light. However, as she moved over to the wall to turn the light on in her bedroom, an blade suddenly was pressed against her neck and a hand covered her mouth.
"Drop the gun." a harsh, yet familiar voice commanded. She didn't budge.
"Drop. The gun!" She felt the blade begin to sink even closer to her skin, forcing her hands to shakily drop the gun to the floor.
"Good girl." The intruder spoke lowly, sadistically. "Ah, Sarena, what fresh, untainted blood you have." He spoke, running the flat, cool edge of the blade against her skin.
She shuddered. What should she do? This voice was no stranger to her, it was..."Noah...why?" she barely managed to get out of her clenched teeth as tears began to fall down her cheeks.
"Oh darling, don't cry. I'm not going to kill you. Just have a little feast." he pressed his lips against her neck, the blade now pressed sharp-edged against the other side of her neck -- the side that was still healing from the last attack. "We're lovers, right? Lovers share their resources, their bounty!"
On the very word, she felt his sharp fangs sink into her neck, drawing blood from her already low supply. Sarena began to feel dizzy, the world around her beginning to blur, her knees beginning to grow weak.
Suddenly, all was black.

((wait, when did he get a coat. He arrived without anything but the clothes on his back...I'll just say Jace got it for him while Shane was out earlier. Yeah, that works, I'll go with that.))
The boy was gone for less than a moment when Shane heard a muffled shout from the bedroom. He raced to the door and saw James held captive by a large, foreboding man that stank of blood. "Vampire," Shane growled.
"So you are the one they call the Blood Traitor, and the Bane of all vampires," the man said in a cold, but slightly amused voice.
"Let the boy go," Shane hissed.
"Why?" the man asked. "Surely to one such as you, the life of a mere boy is of no importance."
"The boy is mine," Shane stated, raising his hand and causing a knife from the kitchen to fly into it. "Now let him go."
"Yours," the vampire laughed, "how can the boy be yours if you haven't put your claim on him."
"Let him go, and I will make your death swift."
"Why do you seek to protect this boy so much?" the vampire asked, before taking on a look of contemplation.
"He is precious to me," Shane replied.
The vampire looked up as if a light bulb had just lit up above his head. "Surely you do not plan to make this boy your other. He's only a mortal, surely you couldn't stand to loose a lover a third time, especially after swearing to never care about someone ever again following the death of your second wife."
Shane growled as he lifted the knife up, "Are you the one who killed her?"
The vampire smirked, "One of them. Her blood tasted finer than any wine I have ever tasted."
"Than I have all the more reason to kill you."
"Not today I'm afraid. My master wishes to meet you."
"And your master is?"
"Lord Azure of course," the vampire said with a smug grin. "He wants to meet with what he has claimed to be his finest creation." The vampire's face fell a fraction, "A pity. He once told me that I held that place."
Shane barked out a laugh, "The only reason I would meet the monster is to kill him. Now let the boy go."
"Why is this boy so important to you?"
"He is like the little brother I never had," Shane replied. "And I will kill anyone that threatens those I care about."
"Interesting," the vampire said, taking a firmer hold on James, causing the boy to cry out in pain.
Shane started to take a step forward, but the vampire held up his palm and sent a wave of force at him, throwing him against the wall. Looking up, he saw the vampire changing into mist.
"If this boy is so important to you, than come to the land from which we all stemmed, along the River Nile. My master, and the boy, will be waiting for you," the vampire said, now nearly vanished.
"Who are you?" Shane yelled at the dissipating mist.
"Adonis," came the reply, as the mist vanished.
Shane lunged forward in a futile attempt, but the vampire, and James, were gone.
Shane stayed there, on his hands an knees, and let out a scream of rage. After a moment, he stood up, went into the bathroom and took a shower, then dressed in clothes different than his usual. He threw on an ensemble on all black that would not hamper his mobility, then picked up his blades and his gun, and strapped them into place. He then set his radio to his ear and stormed out of the room and next door to Jace's room, where he pounded on the door. When it opened, Jace stared wide eyed at him.
"Shane, what's-"
"Get your stuff, we're going hunting. And dress for warm weather."
"O-okay," Jace said, closing the door to prepare.
Shane turned away and walked to the other room next to his, where he saw the door knocked down. Inside, the other vampires we're collected around an unconscious Aluru. When they looked up at his entry, Shane said, "Azure is in Egypt. One of his servants has taken someone precious to me and I mean to get him back, and kill Azure. Get together what ever you need, we leave for the airport in ten minutes." He then turned and left the room, flipping on his radio. "I need transport to the airport and the first flight to Egypt. Make sure Cairo HQ knows I'm bringing five vampires with me."
"Roger that sir."
Shane switched to a different channel and said, "Sarena, are you there? I need to you to meet me at the airport. We're going to Cairo."
((Well, now we know why Shane likes James.))

"How are we going to take them all on?" Crezess questioned "We aren't fighting people of that great power, but numbers can have great influence in battle."
"Don't worry, it's not like will have to battle all of them, that would be a rather idiotic move, we will slowly picking off them one by one and Azure wants Pandora to be the first to go. All you have to do is be Paul, tell they are needed at the requim and it is extremely urgent. Once they start listening to what you have to say, I will drain Pandora of all of her delicious blood. You shall 'work' with the vampires to catch me and send them down the wrong path. Then we will only 5 left." Lucious calmly answered
"I guess you're right it just seems-" Crezess was cut off by the sound of a beeping tracker.

"The same place you were when you passed out. Mind telling me what happened in here." Rhinoa took a quick look around the destroyed room.
"Azure. Where did he go. I, I fed on him." Finally fully awake, Aluru felt a great strength flowing through his body.
This perked Rhinoa's curiosity. "Did you now? Interestingly enough, Shane dealt with some of Azure's wrath tonight aswell."
Aluru tilted his head as if to ask what happened.
"A child, James i believe, was kidnapped not 5 minutes after we found you. He hastelly ordered for a flight to Egypt, and 'asked' us to come along. We leave tonight, along with a women named Sarena. This people here aren't half bad, once they get the notion of killing you out of their heads. Fancy that. Anyway, you best get up and talk to Marius. He's with Shane I believe."
Aluru stood up to a short headrush. They both left the room and headed down the hall a few doors to where the other 3 and Shane were.
" 'Bout time you woke up," said an anxious Daniel. Aluru didn't react at all to his comment.
"He's still preatty out of it. I think you'd like to know Shane, that he fed off Azure. He's toying with this whole building it seems." Rhiona sat Aluru down in a chair, and then did so herself. " I think we should leave as soon as possible. I feel like I'm being called to Egypt. How long untill Sarena arrives?"
"Soon," replyed Shane. "Soon."

"Sure, I'll be there in five minutes," Shane replied. He looked up at the gathered vampires. "I'l be back shortly." They nodded and he left the room and took the express elevator down to the holding section.
He walked down the hall past a handful of occupied cells and several empty ones. The ocupied cells held mostly drunken staff sleeping off there booze, and on or two doure vampires that hissed at Shane as he passed. Ignoring them, he walked down to the end of the hall where another door lead deeper into the facility. There, guards stood in front of a cell barred with titainium.
"About time you came down here," one of the guards said.
Shane ignored his comment and said, "Open the door."
"Sir, thisvampire is insaine, I don't think it would be a good idea."
"I said open the door soilder. Don't make me say it a third time. I'll take my chances."
"I-if you're sure sir," the guard said, taking out his keys and unlocking the cell. "Just be careful."
Shane snorted as he entered the cell and the door closed behind him. He walked up to the shackeled vampire and punched him in the jaw, knocking him to the floor in a heap. "Who are you and why did you think you could break into a Requim facility without getting caught." He then kicked the vampire shooting, "Who are you and who do you work for!"

She looked at the security guards who gave her a strange look. But she kept her eyes focused on her destination, her eyebrows furrowed in frustration. Someone must have known about Noah! They couldn't send the kegs of blood wine to his place without a record of it.
"Ah, Sarena, what fresh, untainted blood you have."
Suddenly, a thought came to her. He wanted untainted blood. Blood that hadn't been sucked before, pure blood...like that of a priests. But how? We saw the last priest-killer...unless
It finally began to dawn on her. Noah was in conjunct with whomever was killing the priests, and playing everything out so she wouldn't suspect him one bit. Afterall, who else would people be least likely to suspect as a murderous vampire, as the boss of Requiem's team 9?
Her boots clanked heavily now as she walked through the dorms. When she noticed a cool draft coming through an open door, she walked to it, looked inside and frowned.
"What the hell is going on here?"
[[okay, so I'm making it seem like Noah's the bad guy here, but really, he was murdered after he dropped off Sarena, and a strong vampire took his body and attacked Sarena. She doesn't know it YET, though she will]]

He was curled up on his concrete bed, rocking back and forth, talking back to the voices in his head. Suddenly there was a voice that pierced through the other ones. "Young boy, do you wish to be set free?" It was the most beautiful voice he ever heard. Alex was startled at first.
"Who... Who's there?!" He backed himself into the corner of the cell quickly.
"Don't be afraid young one. I'll save you from this miserable life, if you just do one thing for me." It was unnaturally soothing.

Everybody else was getting ready for the trip. Daniel was the only one of the 5 who still carried guns. He was young, and still weak, and could kill better with a gun than his fangs.
Marius, Pandora and Rhiona each grabbed a bottle of blood wine for the flight. Shane had told them that the plane would be windowless, so they had no need for coffins. The flight would be long, and all they could do was wait.
"We're going on a hunt. In Egypt. These fine vampires are coming with us, since they know our quarry. All of us have issues to settle with him. So, are you coming?" spoke Shane to Sarena.

Back in the cell, the figure of a woman pulled way of the darkest shadows of the room. "In return for your offering, I will give you the strength to cast aside the shackles of this building and become a free spirit once again." She walked into the moonlight that was shining through the decrepit bars on the back wall. Alex stared in awe, her beauty was almost blinding. Her pale skin radiated in the light that was flooding in from the full moon. She stepped lightly towards him, not making a single noise on the broken up floor. After what felt like an enternity to Alex she sat down on the cement bed and held her hands out to him. "Come to me young one..."

Jace nodded while Shane turned back to the vampires. "Let's get going. A van will take us to a private hanger where we'll leave from." Shane stood up and stalked back to his room, where he grabbed his bag and weapons and headed down the hall to the elevator.

"Hello?" Lucious answered
"Hi! This is Dr. Chaz Ureski from the requim. Is this Blanch Howington? I need to ask you some questions about some of your co-workers."
A light went off in Lucious' mind
"Yes it is sir. I am completely ready to answer any and all questions you have about my co-workers."
"In that case drop the act. Shane and his group are taking a flight to Egypt. I will be flying the plane and there will be one stewardess who is also an ally."
"So the battle will be on board. Is there specific instructions you have on how to attack?"
"You and Crezess will be given boarding passes. Shane shall be told that you two have special business in Egypt as well so you shall be boarding their flight with them. When you get on make casual conversation to not raise any eyebrows. This is what will happen: 60 seconds after I turn off the fasten seat belt sign, the stewardess shall attack randomly. First, you shall pretend you're helping them restrain/fight her. After they let there guard down once more you and Crezess shall attack them and setthe stewardess free. Afterwards, I will come from the ****pit to assist you. Between the four of us they are no match. Hopefully all will go smoothly, do you understand the plan?"
"Yes, it seems simplistic enough. This sounds a lot easier than our original plan."
"Azure thought that you might need some back up to take so many vampires down. My consultant and I are some of the best."
"When is the flight being boarded?"
"In one hour, so pack up quickly."
"Understood, see you soon."
Lucious hung up the phone and started to explain the plan to Crezess.

Aluru turned to face Pandora. He spoke not a word, but she understood his thoughts. We must be carefull. While I was in the room with Azure warned me of a traitor in the Requim. I assume a vampire. It confuses me though. He allowed me to feed on him, he warned us. What are his intentions?
Pandora shook her head, not knowing the answer.
"God, am I getting anxious," said Daniel as he loaded his two .45 ACP's. The five of them would be leaving along with Shane. Jace had decided on staying, to help out the visibly scared Sarena.
"Don't be. This will be dangerous, and your life is at great risk. If you wish to stay, I will not think of you as a coward," spoke Marius. Rhiona gave out a little chuckle.
"F**k that. I'm going. I want to try out these bad boys," Daniel said as he looked at his two pistols.
"Allright. But once we enter that plane, there is no turning back." Marius fidgeted in his chair a little, looknig anxious himself.
"I know."

Once again he revisited the memory of his turning. He woke up to find that he was in the womans arms. He could feel something coming warm from his lips. He looked up to the woman to see that there was blood coming down her chin. "You are now free my child. Get up and brake free from this wretched place!" She stood him up as she raised herself. "Now be a dear and open the door for me."
Alex nodded and walked over to the metalic rusted door. He swiftly kicked it off its hinges and into one of the bulky ordearlies. It crused him against the stone wall as blood splatered across the hall.
Other ordearlies came running up to the room, but Alex was waiting for them, his fangs at the ready...

"Good luck," she paused, looking directly at shane, "all of you better come back alive" she smirked, Or else I don't know what I'd do.
Walking out of the room with Jace, she heard a loud crash.
"What was that?"
"Psychotic vampire stuck in the middle ages."
She raised an eyebrow.
"Requiems got it under control. Just worry about Noah for now." Jace assured her.
Sarena snorted an amused "Ha." Looking up at the ceiling, which became very interesting at that moment, she continued, "Requiem is constantly spinning out of control. If it were under control, the end of the world would be coming."
"Could be." Jace shrugged.
"As long as I get to kill Noah before it does, I'll die a happy woman." she folded her arms as she walked over to Noah's desk. Look for anything. Places he might stay, friends, anyone.
Sarena spotted a folded slip of paper, but before she could read it she heard the clanking of loud footsteps against the linoleum tile floor. "Agent Sarena Knowles" she heard them call, and quickly placed the slip of paper in her pocket.
She looked up, seeing three heavy set police officers and an investigator, who finished the sentence, "You're being taken for questioning of the murder of Noah Blackwood -"
"What?! Wait a minute, he's alive! I saw him, he BIT me!" she feebly tried to point at the puncture wounds in her neck as they forced her against the table, handcuffing her hands behind her.
"She's innocent!" Jace tried to protest.
"WE'LL determine that." They said, leaving him behind as they walked the black haired female out of the building.

Aluru had an uneasy feeling about walking right in Azure's hands, but he wanted answers, and knew that if he wanted them dead, they would have been.
Pandora was the most silent of the bunch, but she had always been like that, keeping to herself.
Marius wanted answers, but to much different questions than Aluru's.
Rhiona was probably the most prepared. She knew Lucious could not bring himself to kill her, and felt not the slightest bit of fear.
"Allright, are you all ready?" asked the daywalker, as many called him. Everyone nodded. "Great. Let's go." They all stood up, and as Shane reached for the door, it opened from the other side, with two males in it's frame.
Vampires. Aluru could tell right away. He knew Rhiona, Marius, and Pandora could aswell, but the young Daniel, and the daywalker Shane could not. What the hell? Aluru shot a glance at Pandora, who was also confused. He stood in stance that would favour him incase a fight broke out.

As they made their way across the windowless hanger, Shane turned to the too men and said, "Go home. I'm not taking rookies along."
One of them shook his head, "We have some business in Egypt and it was thought it would be easier to use one jet than to have us fly on a second one, what with the way fuel prices are these days."
Shane snorted, his face shifting into a mask of amusement, he didn't like this. He would have been told if they would have had company and he had requested a private jet. But all he said was, "Oh yes, cause gas prices are so high now, aren't they. Risen twenty-five cents in the last eight months. What's it at now, a $1.75 a gallon now?" Shane turned away and saw as some of the workers were loading a coffin into the cargo compartment of the plane. They nodded to Shane as two of them climbed into the cargo area with coffin and the door was closed. Shane turned back to the two men and said, "I highly recommend you stay here and catch another civilian flight."
"But we must get to Cairo as soon as we can," one of the men said.
Shane turned away and walked toward the waiting plane, "Your choice," he threw over his shoulder. "But don't say I didn't warn you."
In moments, Shane walked up the steps and into the plane. Poking his head into the ****pit, he asked, "Everything ready to go here?" The pilot and co-pilot nodded and Shane slipped on his radio head set, flipping it on. "How's the cargo?" he asked.
"It woke up and started making noise, then evidently knocked it self out. Haven't heard a peep in the last ten minutes."
"Alright. Make sure you keep so tranks on hand. Keep em stocked with SS class blood."
"Sir?"
"That stuff will drop a bull elephant in seconds. It will drop a vamp instantaneously."
"Understood sir."
Shane flipped the radio off and nodded to the pilots. "Do your thing. I might come back after we get in the air." The pilots nodded and started the start-up sequence as Shane watched the shuttered door rise up and the plane began to taxi out. Nodding once more, he turned back into the passenger area and saw Aluru and the other vampires seated and the other two men sitting further back. Smirking, he walked back to the galley and opened the fridge, taking out a can of Red Bull, and a blood pack marked AB-, and had a small S in the corner. Grabbing a glass, he walked back out, nodding to the flight attendant, and back to his seat. As the engines started to roar to life, he poured the energy drink into the glass, followed by the blood. Stirring it, he leaned against the back of the seat and looked over at the young looking vampire with head phones. Holding his glass up in a toast, he took a large pull from the drink. He smiled as the plane lifted into the air. Now I just need a way to spend the next several hours, he mused, as the pilot announced there take off and that they were now heading on a nonstop flight to Cairo.

Aluru rose from his seat and nodded to Pandora, she too rising. He walked to the back of the plane, Pandora quickly following, but not without grabbing both of the ACPs that sat beside Daniel. He didn't notice.
"So, Paul was your name?" Aluru knew the answer.
"Yes sir. I am surprised that vampires such as yourselfs are tavelling with us."
"Odd isn't it." Aluru took another quick lookat Pandora and then grabbed Paul by the neck and slammed him back into his seat. "Cut the ****!" Aluru yelled.
Shane jumped out his seat, aiming his pistol at Pandora and Aluru. "Put him the **** down!" Shane yelled.
Daniel stood up in confusion.
Pandora aimed one of her guns at Shane, and the other at Paul and Blanch, or Crezess and Lucious as it were.
Rhiona spoke, without even taking a look to the back of the plane. "Did you really think I wouldn't know it was you? Still the same Lucious I always knew."
Both Shane and Daniel gave a look of confusion.

"You were last seen with Noah just as he was leaving work. What did you do after?"
"Noah and I walked to his car, we got in, drove to Mimi's, had dinner, then he dropped me off at home. When I was getting out of the shower, HE attacked me and bit me. Then I fainted, went to Requim 'cause I got a call from my partner, and then I was looking through Noah's stuff to see if I could find his parents number." she replied honestly, only bending the truth on the last clause.
"You fainted? Let me guess, it was a vampire bite?" the female investigator asked with a condescending tone in her voice.
Sarena glared "Well why else would I faint after being bitten? I just got out of the hospital from another cut on my neck, and I was anemic as it was."
The male investigator began to ask her questions with more sympathy, "What time do you say it was when you got home?"
"About 9:30."
"Are you sure it was Noah who attacked you?"
"We're lovers, right? Lovers share their resources, their bounty!"
"Positive. It was his voice, his face...there's no way it could have been someone else." she looked in his eyes, "He's a vampire, an evil one who feeds on innocents, and I'm surprised he didn't kill me."
"What time did you get out of the shower?"
Sarena tried to remember back. She vaguely remembered glancing at the clock as she reached for the light switch, "about 10:00"
"Did you know he was a vampire before this?"
"No." she answered, her teeth clenched, "I wish I had."
"Hm." The male interrogator nodded to his partner, and they walked out. In the hallway, they met with analysts. "Well?"
"Her evidence is flawless. We found a towel in her room with a blood stain on it. It's her blood alright, and not a trace of Noah. Our testing suggests he was killed around 9:45. That would be while she was in the shower, and our evidence also shows that she was indeed at home during the time he was killed. Also...there were wounds on his neck as well. Much like Ms. Knowles. Only deeper."
The investigators looked at each other, then walked back in.
"What do you know about vampires? You work at Requiem, what kinds are there?"
"Well there are the day walkers, ones who only posses half of the qualities of a vampire, and then there are the full bloods. There are different forms of day-walkers, and there seems to be a range of ideas of how they came into being."
"Are there any who can...shape shift?" the female asked, now more convinced.
"What do you mean?"
"Take the form of a different person? You said Noah attacked you around 10:00, yet our investigation shows that he was found dead at 9:45."
"Are you suggesting that someone else took Noah's apearance and attacked me?" Sarena thought out loud
"If it's possible."
She looked down, focusing, "well there was one incident a long time ago. A woman was bitten by a vampire that she swore was her deceased husband. I suppose there's the possibility." the thought that perhaps Noah really did love her, and would never hurt her crossed her mind. The thought that she had just wished death on an innocent man completely killed her. The realization that he was dead caused her to break down.
"So...he's really gone?"
The investigators nodded.
"Oh my god..." she bit her lip and cradled her head in her hands. In only two days, she had found love and lost it. It had been the second time the life of a close friend had been taken by a vampire.
But she remembered her fight with the priest killer, realizing how defenseless she was against him. He was so strong, so filled with raw power. Shane was the only one who could nearly match his power, but with the two of them, sarena and jace, holding him down, Shane couldn't release it all.
"We have enough evidence to say that you're free to go, Ms. Knowles." The man investigator set his hand on her shoulder, "and we're sorry about Noah."
It seemed like forever, and the clock read 1:39 AM by the time she got out of questioning. It had been a long day, but she felt quite rested from all the time in the hospital. Right now, what she really wanted was revenge.
"So you're totally free?"
"I won't even be mentioned. They went through my stuff though, and that ticks me off."
"They have the right to, y'know." Jace shoved one hand in his pocket.
"That stupid b!tch acted like I was insane for believing in vampires. Maybe we should have her meet Shane."
"He'd definitely make her a believer."
Getting in Jace's car, she shook her head. "So this one can transform into anyone...How do I know you're real?" she looked in Jace's eyes.
"Well for one, I would probably be drinking your blood rather than driving you home." Jace smiled "Number two," He kept his mouth open and pointed to his canine teeth, "do these look like fangs to you?"
"Yeah, I know. It's just I can't be too cautious, y'know?" she sat back in her seat. "Can Shane turn me into a vampire?"
"I don't know, why?"
"The only way I'm going to be able to kill the one I want is if I'm on his level. Being human is a big disadvantage."
"But you can taste normal foods...Sarena, don't you start thinking you want to become a vampire just for revenge. Don't waste your life away chasing after something that could get you killed."
"My life has been all about revenge ever since I was 16, okay? I don't have anyone to live for. This IS my life. Although it may be sucky, I can't let just let death of my best friend and lover just be swept under the rug. I dedicated to myself that I would never let a vampire taste my blood..."
Jace suddenly turned around.
"Where are we going?"
"Airport."
"What? Why?"
"We're catching that flight with Shane."
"Are you KIDDING?! We'll never make it!"
"hold on tight!" Jace anounced, pressing pedal to the metal.
"JAAAAAAACE!"
((that's what she said! :)))

"Those vampires managed to sense us through our camouflage!" They both thought.
Lucious and Crezess had to think on their feet.
"Please don't kill us Ma'am!" Lucious pleaded "I don't who Lucoious is (pronouncing it wrong on purpose). We are just trying to go to Egypt. We're requim agents!" Lucious wasn't ready to have their cover blown.
"Agent Shane, can you please restrain your passengers?" Crezess said in a calm voice. Even if they reconize Lucious' scent, they will not know who I am. Before anyone responded the fasten seat belt sign was turned off.

"Damnit." Jace growled.
"Don't worry, we'll just find one that's leaving soon." Sarena shrugged.
"Next one doesn't look like it's taking off until 5:00 AM. That means four more hours we have to wait."
"Want to just go home and I'll meet you in a couple of hours?"
"Sounds good."
After being dropped off by Jace, Sarena went into her apartment to find numerous items scattered around. I hate those self righteous social investigators. They act like Vampires aren't even real..
Meaning to pull out her cell phone from her pocket, she felt the folded piece of paper she had slipped in her pocket. Pulling it out, she unfolded it and it read:
Shislana,
You're next.
-Azure
Shislana? That's...mother's name? But she's already dead...What on earth?" Sarena scratched her head and put the paper back in her pocket.
Packing a few necessities and buying her ticket online, she threw her luggage in the trunk of her car. She was especially jumpy that night but managed to get to the airport. In the front, she found Jace waiting for her, and they printed their tickets at the counter.
While waiting to be checked in security, she showed Jace the note
"Azure apparently made a visit to Aluru. That's what the mess was inside his quarters." Jace explained
"So just who is this Azure anyways?" Sarena frowned, inspecting the handwriting closely. It definitely wasn't Noah's at least...
"Do you remember when Pandora told us about the witch?"
"Oh right, didn't he want some girl captured?" Sarena asked.
"Mia. Shane told me that Aluru said that you look exactly like her." Jace said, placing his carry-on on the conveyor and walked through security. They had been smart enough to simply pack their guns instead of having to hassle with the guards. After passing through security, they sat down to wait for their flight.
"Do you think I could be her descendant?" Sarena frowned.
"I don't know. We'll have to ask them when we meet them."
"Hm..." Sarena sat in deep thought. She ran her hand along her neck, only to find her bite marks had vanished. "What the...Jace, do you see anything here?"
Jace looked closer, "No...wait...isn't that where you were bitten?"
"Yeah. It's totally vanished." Sarena took out her iPod and used the backside as a mirror. Then she pulled the bandage off her other side, only to find that it too had completely healed without a scratch. "What the hell is going on here?"

Marius and Rhiona stood up for the first time during the whole fiasco, to have a gun pointed at them. Paul had retrieved Aluru's loose pistol.
Shane dropped his Red Bull, swearing as it spilt over his lap. He got up and raised his gun at the vampire pair.
It was six against two. Lucious was strong, yes, but they couldn't match the force of Shane, Pandora, Marius, Aluru and Rhiona. Daniel was the only one of them that couldn't do much damage. The 6 of them and the restrained stewardess were gathered on one side of the small private plane, and Lucious and Paul were together on the other.
"We have two guns, and you have one. Plus, you are greatly outnumbered. Check f**king mate." Aluru grinned as he spoke those words.

"Roger that sir," came the reply.
Seconds latter, the hatch down to the cargo area popped open and three men with pistols jumped out. One immediately fired a shot at Crezess, hitting him with a dart that injected the dubbed SS class blood into the vampire. Blood that was full of sedatives and knockout agents. At the same time, the other two trained their guns on the stewardess and Lucious.
"Give it up," Shane said, as Crezess wobbled on his feet before falling to the floor. He then swapped the magazine in his gun for one filled with the flash bullets.
((alright, this gives blue a chance to do something since his character is no longer guarded.))

How did they get me? Am I really that weak? Must not fall, must not... Crezess fell to the ground.
After finishing his shots at the crowd, Lucious heard Shane radio something in. What we he be radioing in the middle of a fight? I better take a more direct approach Lucious was about to attack Aluru, when Three guards came out of nowhere. Just what we need, more people fighting on their side. Lucious watched as one guard shot at Crezess making him fall to the ground. On of the others had a gun pointed at me while the other had a gun pointed at the stewardess. The better not have killed him, THOSE *******S!!!!!! Lucious immediately put the guns in his pockets, took out a knife, ran towards the guards with great agility, and sliced all of their heads off in one strike.
The pilot sensed that Alex was near. He's here, strange I thought he was dead The pilot ran past the beheaded guards and into the cargo. Alex was already free from his cage.

The two bullets whizzed at Marius and Pandora, but they quickly dodged them. Marius threw his fist into Daniel's face, bringing him back to normal. Daniel was al ittle dizzy, and before he could react, Marius threw him into the ****pit. "Stay in there untill I tell you."
Aluru noticed a weapons cabinet near the ****pit, so while keeping his eyes on Lucious and the stewardess, he grabbed a Colt AR-15 Rifle, and aimed it at the pair.
"Once again, you have failed Lucious." Rhiona spoke for the first time in over an hour. "You didn't think this through. Did you honestly in your heart believe you could take us all? How sad. Or did your maker betray you? If you make it out of here, ask him about what happened at the Requim." Rhiona was happy at the speech she was giving him. He made her into a demon, and this was her revenge.
"Its funny in a way. I imagined the second vampire of the world to be more powerfull. I know when I am wrong though." Aluru was just edgeing Lucious on, looking for a reason to blow his brains out.
"You little punk," said Lucious as he motioned forward, ready to strike.
"I don't think so," said Aluru as he shook his head, waving the gun from left to right. Lucious stepped back.
Marius was cautious at every move. This had to end soon. They couldn't jsut keep talking, waving their guns or fists at each other.

Crezess started to regain his conciousness. "I don't think so" he heard Aluru say. I WONT let him kill Lucious. Crezess took his hand, put it on Aluru's leg and pulled making him fall to the ground. "What the ****?!?!" Aluru yelled.
Thank god your concious, Crezess. This was the message Lucious sent to Crezess. "You're defenseless on the floor, Aluru" Lucious explained. He took a shot precisely at Aluru's heart.

Pandora stood in amazement. She didn't make a sound, letting her anger build. Before anybody knew what happened, she snapped. She barred her razor sharp teeth and grabbed the still half blacked out Paul, ripping the skin on his neck clean off.
He was bleeding profusely, and if he didn't drink any blood soon, he would die.
Aluru grabbed a pistol that lay beside him, and quickly rose to his feet, aiming it at Lucious. "Move towards him and you die."
Pandora was busy restraining the bleeding Paul, so Rhiona ran to Marius' side, but it was too late, he had died. She held him as he disenigrated into ashes.

"Move towards him and I die?" Lucious questioned "You moron I love him saving him is worth my life!?!?"
Ive never seen him this anger before. Rhiona thought "Aluru watch out!" she yelled at him.
It was too late, Lucious had already gone right up to Aluru and smacked the gun out of his hand. He then punched him in the face and went towards Pandora. "How dare you!" he screamed and went to attack her.
Crezess was dizzy and knew he needed to suck some blood to stay alive. Conviently Aluru was there and all he needed was a couple of drops.
The pilot quickly dodged the coffin lid. "Not going to happen. It would be very easy to kill your weak ass, but I shall offer you an ultimatum. Death or loyality to me. It is our choice."
Why am I so useless? I need Relota's help. She was going into the ****pit when Rhiona stepped right in front of her. "You think you can stand here while the rest of us fight? Think again." Rhiona started a new battle between them.
Racith was flying the plane wih ease when a random vampire entered the ****pit.
"Who are you?" Raciith asked
"I am Daniel" the stranger resonded
"Get out of here, I am flying the plane"
"I am afraid I can't leave"
"Why not?"
"Because I have to kill you." With that Daniel pulled out his guns.

Lucious leeped at Pandora, and she didn't manage to move in time. He pinned her down with great strength, but she was strong too. She was strong enough to keep his mouth from reaching her neck.
Paul looked over to a somewhat wounded Aluru, and knew he needed to drink his blood. He slowly moved over to the dark prince, and when he finally reached him, he quickly failed.
Aluru shot back up onto his feet, grabbing two pistols as he did. One was aimed at the struggling Lucious, and the other was aimed at point blank range at Paul's head. Aluru shot off two bullets from each gun.
