Depending on how long the new Zelda game has been in development, It'll probably be there. Maybe we'll evn see some entirely new stuff.

Well in my opinion, I think it's more 50/50, since we have games like Zelda, Metroid, and Brawl, but also Wii Sports and Wii Fit.
We'll just have to wait for July 15th-17th though, when E3 comes around, because I'm sure Nintendo will make more "core" games, since this "casual" thing was really an act of desperation that turned out to work.

I think that more 3rd parties are realizing the potential of "hardcore" games on Wii, with The Conduit and MadWorld being examples.

I was just about to say that. The one thing I hated about Colloseum, was that you couldn't walk between towns or catch wild pokemon. Haven't played it in ages though.

Japan in general seems really behind as far as online functionality goes in video games, to be honest.

In a team match in an FPS some kind of communication is needed...in MoHH2 you can select little commands like "move out" or "cover me" to communicate with the rest of your team. As Toasty said, it's really not needed in racing games or fighting games.

A pokemon MMORPG will only turn out right if it's like the handheld games where you can walk around between towns and capture wild pokemon, but in a first person perspective like Colloseum. But it'll still suck unless it brings something new to the table that both of the others don't have. And I don't mean new pokemon, because I'm effing tired of seeing new pokes. They would've been better off stopping at the Advanced series. Heck, GSC was enough. Most of them at least looked like real animals.

Anyway, being able to manually control your pokemon in battel would be great. A real-time system would perfect, as that's what a real match would be like in real life, if it was possible.

But anyway, until omething like that happens, I'm done with the series. I might pick up Crystal occaisionally, but that's about it. Crystal, and maybe the Red/Green remakes are the only ones worth playing anyway. The first ones are too old, and the new ones suck beyond belief.

Well the last Wii zelda was actually for gcn. There isn't going to be another 3D metroid for a while as Retro are working on other games for now. Also the amazing Wii Mario was only recently released so i doubt they will bring him back until the next console (as always).

Steampunk Zelda would be awesome. Actually, I generally find steampunk fantasy to be intriguing. I also really like the idea of a game set between OoT/MM and TWW/PH.

It would be great with a probably sad ending. =P I have to wonder if that protagonist would be another reincarnation of Link, though? (assuming all the Links in the Zelda universe have been reincarnations of the OoT Link)

I think, or at least hope, that Nintendo's caught on to that. Like Laharl said, I'm sure we could all import Japanese versions of Zelda games and be able to get to the start to the finish fine at this point.

Yeah. I kept wanting to do a stab and what I would get was the standard vertical slice in Z targetting. =( Combos looked great in TP, but it felt wrong to move the analog stick to do different attacks when I'm swishing a frikking remote around. XD

Pikmin Wii would be great. It's pretty much already made for the Wii at this point, just needs IR implementation.

And I highly doubt that a new Zelda will be unveiled tomorrow. Maybe an announcement, and maybe a demo of Twilight Princess done with the Wii MotionPlus attachment just to give us an idea of how it can be used. But it's simply too soon.

No remakes, what's wrong with you people?! There you are complaining Wii lacks unoriginal titles and that they're all remakes, and now you want yet another remake.

After reading the steampunk Zelda idea weeks ago I got quite excited about the prospect, though I know it's 100% fake. Yet, now that I've read the last couple of posts about a new Zelda explaining the flooding of Hyrule, and Link as the main star and all that stuff I felt a little sick... ENOUGH Zelda!! There, I've said that for the first time, though I've been leaning towards it for a long time! How come people aren't absolutely SICK of the franchise?!

I too am a little sick of Zelda. I know almost all sequels feature the same gameplay mechanics as it's predecessor, but the Zelda games are too alike. They should jsut make one game, and have it feature downloadable dugeons, because that's all that really changes from gamg to game.

As far as I know, development was put on hold.

There was that, and Disaster: Day of Crisis, as new non-franchised titles from Nintendo, if I remember last year's E3 correctly.

10 years? I agree the GC wasn't Nintendo's shining generation, but it had plenty of hardcore titles, though not matching PS2/Xbox.

it was no where near as bad as it is today, but it should have got alarm bells ringing, there was a lot of upgrading N64 games for that generation
