My little bro's best friend, who's name is Josh has this crush on a girl that lives in an apartment complex across the street from my neighborhood. One day the girl's friend steals Josh's phone and starts prank calling and texting people in his phone book, with her own phone. Well my number just happens to be one of those numbers. As of right now I am constantly receiving text messages and phone calls from this girl, and a lot of them of really crude and in a sarcastic manner asking for sex.(which is really rather retarded because it is some 14 girl)

    Anyway help plz

Edit: Yes after I posted I realized that I failed to notice the the official problems thread is right below mine......sorry....regardless I still need help

You know what, it's absolutely fine first of all. Something like this should be posted on its own, and I'll even encourage people to do so.

As to your situation, I'd like to ask, is Josh aware of the situation? Actually, is the girl herself aware that her friend is prank calling all these people? I'd let them know to see what they're capable of.

My advice is to ignore it for now, don't answer back, since that could either send the wrong signal or just encourage it more. Let them try and stop it.

Josh and the other girl both know about it. I believe they both where getting a kick out of it at first, then I jumped all over Josh for letting them have my phone number. He says he is going to try and get a hold of the phone and delete my number, but he said that last time right before she called me.

Don't you have an option of blocking who can text message you? I'd magine that if you have to pay for unwanted textmessages, your provider would provide a way for you to block them so they couldn't run up your phone bill.

My sister has a Motorola RAZR V3 under Cingular/AT&T, and I think she's able to block text messages.

            B ) Ignore it

            C) Go with it and see if she freaks out XD

really though, is it just you or is it everyone on his contact list? Because if so she should be stopped. Oh and wow she needs a life.

C is the best option. When you turn a joke a against people, especially these immature people, they dont know what to do and are left speechless.

"Hey, do me a favor. When you get the chance, message me back cause I got a friend here who doesn't believe retarded people can message!"
"(Enter service carrier here) regrets to inform you that your birth was an accident. Please report to your nearest hospital to be put down. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Some prank favorites of mine. Honestly, bit of a small problem. Is the issue just receiving annoying texts?

It is everybody's number she could get a hold of. She actually put his sim card in her phone and saved all his numbers to her phone

I have to pay for texts if I open them and they are from a carrier other than AT&T/Cingular.

Anyway I haven't received any texts or phone calls today yet, so maybe it has stopped.

I've got a pay as you go carrier (Net10, best carrier ever if you're not at least half female and have a phone glued to your ear), so I pay 5 cents per text message(well, the rate is 10 cents a minute, and text messages count as half a minute). Both sending and recieving.

Same, in the Netherlands and the rest of the Benelux. But I think I had to pay a bit for recieved messages in Italy.

Cause I sure as hell didn't spend 50 bucks and texting people from Italy.

Or you could just go to 3 and get the $29 cap, which is $120 of value, 70 free minutes to other 3 mobiles, and you get a brand new phone. So much better then Optus pre-paid.

Because you get a preview of what's inside, and if it's spam, or some annoying person, you delete it. That's why.
