Audio adjustment

Because of the way my set-up is my right speaker is on my left because it has the volume adjustment knob on it. The right is over a bit further so it doesn't block my TV. Putting the actual right speaker would mean that the knob would be inaccessible. I only noticed this while playing Oblivion the other day.
I've heard of a way to switch the sound coming out of speakers around, but I can't seem to locate it in Vista. Essentially what I want to do is make the left speaker play sounds that come out of the right speaker and vice versa.

If you've got 5.1, just switch the wires in the back of the bass unit.

I've never heard of anyone ever needing to switch their speaker's position like that. I'll have to check one of the laptops to see if it's possible in Vista, but for now, try seeing if the app Split linked to will work.

What does it really matter if the left is on the right, and vice versa?

Because having the wrong setup defies the entire point of owning stereo speakers.

If someone's shooting at you from the left in a videogame, and your speakers are backwards, which direction do you think you will turn to?

*facepalm* Yeah, that was kind of stupid. I was high, I blame the weed. Not my fault at all.
