    Quote

With both young and adult gamers as loyal fans, The Legend of Zelda is one of the most beloved video game series ever created. The contributors to this volume consider the following questions and more: What is the nature of the gamer’s connection to Link? Does Link have a will, or do gamers project their wills onto him? How does the gamer experience the game? Do the rules of logic apply in the game world? How is space created and distributed in Hyrule (the fictional land in which the game takes place)? How does time function? Is Zelda art? Can Hyrule be seen as an ideal society? Can the game be enjoyable without winning? The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy not only appeals to Zelda fans and philosophers but also puts video games on the philosophical map as a serious area of study.

I have Simpsons and Philosophy, and if the Zelda one is as good as the Simpsons one, then it will definetly be a must have.

surely this is just exploitation of an all too receptive market

I bet the first page is just a middle finger with "hahaha" written a few times and then the rest is blank.

But seriously, what Laharl said. It's going to put way too much thought into things that are unnecessary like the importance of the name "Hylia" or whatever. Stuff that you just dont need to know.

Mah boi, this book is what all true warriors strive for!
But in seriousness, I think these people think too much into the game, I'm willing to bet that Nintendo weren't thinking 'How can we make these issues come through?'

Probably the most desatisfying book you'd ever read. Likely to make you never touch any zelda game, ever again.
