If anyone here's seen the first movie and liked it, then you'll love this one. I saw a commercial for it on a newly released DVD a few months back and thought it looked awesome, but forgot about it. Then my friend mentioned it the other day, so I downloaded it.

The lips don't match the words worth crap, but you don't notice it when there's fighting/etc.

Anyway, this one's CGI like Advent Children was, and I believe Appleseed was cell shaded (think Wind Waker, but way better).

    PLOT:
Basically what happens is that some guy is trying to control everyone's minds around the globe because he figures that if they're all of one consciousness (and therefore all share the same thoughts and ideas), that war and strife will cease to exist. So three heros (a human, a cyborg, and a "bioroid" [manufactured human with surpressed emotions]) have to stop him. This all takes place in the 22nd century, after a third World War which almost destroyed the world (without even using nukes, apparently)

Well the plot doesn't add anything on to the old one, but it has the same characters, same city, etc. And the antigravity technology that was being developed in the first one is mainstream in the second.

I'll agree that the first one wasn't all that great. The fact that the mouths and words didn't match up didn't really help either.

This one's better, though I can't say if you'll like it or not.
