1.) Fire Emblem is NOT better (I won't go through all the details here)
2) The ending was NOT crap, it left it open for the player to think about it
3)It is worth the time. It has good longevity which makes it a good game, worth the money!

You definetly wont be bored. I've had it since Christmas and still havent gotten all the jobs mastered. It takes a LONG time!! The other ending is when you beat all the extra missions(after you beat the game) with the Judgemaster in your clan.

make sure you don;t throw away
any items unless you are sure you
can get them back later. Then just
keep equiping and mastering, it's pretty
easy really, just takes a lot of time is all.

It's an excellent game, i've started playing it again. The worst part of the game is the beginning, when you don't have any interesting classes or abilities, so it's a hard game to get into. Once you're into it, though, you can't put it down :D .

It wasn't bad. . . the plot was lacking, but I like the job customization. Didn't like the fact that you needed items to start missions, but I never threw out items often, so it wasn't a problem.
I can say this truthfully - though it was better then most SRPG's, Fire Emblem (7) was better, more interesting to me. And FFTA and Fire Emblem GHW pwned this to death. But it was better then Advance Wars, to me at least.
Squaresoft could've and should've done better then this.

I agree. This is where the forum rules get a bit ridiculous. You can't start a new topic on a game if the old one hasn't been pruned, and if you post in the old one it's pointless and stupid.
Anyway!
I lost interest in this game after it screwed up and I couldn't leave the final mission icon without getting into it.
Still very good though. It's one of those games that you have to dedicate your time to, otherwise it's boring and you forget what you were doing with weapons and stuff.

Nagrarok has similar strength and it gives you +1 Move and you can get two (steal weapon on the Boss Judge in Decision Time then purposefully lose) so I prefer it.
The best Move and Jump I've ever had is 8 Move 3 Jump. BTW, Judges have 8 Move so it's pretty mean.

Marche has two Sequeces (Traded) with like 110 ATK each. Double Sword obviously.
I really hate Bangas though, they just don't appeal to me.
Bangaas rock. My Bangaa (Defender) has the Angel Ring equipped (Auto-Life automatically) with Expert Guard, Aura, and Meltdown.
Everytime I get into a battle, I just keep moving him towards the enemy and if I'm not within 1 square of anyone, I use Expert Guard (No MP or HP or Status Damage for one whole turn). I keep doing that, until I am within a square of an enemy. Then I use Meltdown (I have over 300HP - So I deal over 300HP worth of Area Damage). I get revived by the Angel Ring. I use Aura (To give me Auto-Regen and Auto-Life) and repeat. Always works and I'm invincible.

Back to the topic:
Battle laws? WTF mate?
The main contributing reason why I ditched FFTA.
#109
Posted 11 May 2005 - 08:48 AM
I didn't buy FFTA because of those stupid Battle Laws for one reason; I mean really, would there REALLY be laws against the way you can fight? I guess if it was banning something forbidden in one certain area, (like, Dark Magic in an area based on Light Magic) but it really seems kinda unorthodox to me.
Also, was it true you couldn't really explore towns? You would pick the area to go to on a map, right? That seems kinda unorthodox too. I wanna EXPLORE the towns myself, not pick where to go on a map and then end up there. e_e
#110
Posted 11 May 2005 - 09:29 PM
Thats pretty how much it is in nearly any Tactics game. Towns are only shops and gossip places, not exploration places like conventional RPGS' =/

I'm at the part with the thingy........the one where you must defeat the guys cutting down trees and that stuff. The one crystal boss where there are the red things that are a giant eye ball. Nido, those things can kill you in one hit! Although the good thing, It killed the boss with that move. That was SO lucky :P .

I find it one of the worst. FFT, the original, was like THE BEST. The story rules. This one's too kid-like and the laws are annoying. The game was vertually no challange. Ability learning was OK though, a bit annoying. The original had much more variety, and it's job classes just plain out rule. It's also alot longer than FFTA, which I found to be quite short. The character design really didn't do to well in FFTA. in FFT, it was just plain awesome. And people actually died in FFT! :)

Ha, a better tactition? I have played FFT and it's ALOT more tactical, alot more things to worry about than laws. How can it make you a better tactition if it restricts you from your best? When playing FFT after FFTA, you wont do the best. Play FFT first, and you will completely own FFTA.

not sure how it works, but if you save the game while over the map icon for the final mission, you can't move to a different area without entering the mission. If, like me, your party is too low to beat the final boss then it's gg, start again...
edit: i did beat the game btw, after having to restart, lol. I would like to play it again, but the beginning is torturously slow and boring. I can never make it past the first mission (herbs, yay)
