I think I totally messed up big time!! I just go Golden Sun and started playing it for the first time last week. Well, I went through Mogall Forest and went to Xian and Altin, but apparently I didn't do all I should have in Fuchin Falls...

I went in there and got the Arctic blade, and I thought that was all I was supposed to do. So I left the place and went through Mogall Forest, but I don't have the Force attack or whatever it is I'm supposed to have. After you go through Mogall Forest, you can't get back to Fuchin Falls. So I'm completely stuck because you need to use chi or whatever it is to knock down the tree in the kung fu school, and I don't have that. I've gotten rid of all the water in Altin and I've gone through the bottom mine, but I need the attack Force so I can move the boulder blocking a doorway.


I really don't know what to do now. I can't go back through Mogall Forest, So I'm completely stuck between Xian and Altin..

Does anyone have any tips?

I remember I didn't get Force on my first play through of Golden Sun. If you don't get it, Garet pushes the boulder himself. This results in an amusing cut scene, and you get to go on.

However, if you do want the Force psynergy I think you CAN go back to Fuchin Falls, you just have to make a big, long detour to go back. You don't go back through Mogall Forest.

Wait, there's an optional cutscene? Dangit! *plays GS1 again*

Yeah, you don't need force except to get through Mogal forest quicker, and I think a sidequestor two later in the game. And then again in GS2 (if you transfer your data) to get a pretty sweet sword.

Garet acts annoyed saying "We came all this way to come to a dead end?!" and pushes the pillar despite the sign saying not to. (this is where you would have used Force) This results in a cave-in and a boulder falling and rolling towards Isaac and Garet. Both run away, and it collapses through the floor.

Oh yeah, I remember that. That's what happened in my origional playthrough, and then when I did it just this last time, I was like ".....where's Garet? Wasn't he supposed to do something stupid here?"

Hmm...how would that work in Xian then? You know, where you display your "chi" in the dojo by knocking over the tree?

The only other thing not mentioned that you may want Force for is during the Colosso...but by then you'll be able to go back to Fuchin with little problem. :(

Ok, so Garet did make the boulder crash through the floor. But what happens after that? I don't really know where I'm supposed to go..

You're supposed to climb down into the hole the boulder made.

Use the train tracks as a ladder.

Wow... I didn't know there was an optional cutscene! I've always gotten force a bit later to try to get throught the game quicker...
