Did a brief search to see if there was a topic on this game already, didn't see anything.
Game looked pretty sweet from the demo. The battle system was pretty fun, sort of like Kingdom Hearts and FFXII but not crappy. The music and graphics were just superb.
It's still not on the PS3 yet, but would you recommend this game to a guy who doesn't have a heck of a lot of tolerance of JRPGs? =P I mean, Golden Sun's still my personal favorite. =/

Own it, almost completed it. Awesome game though lacks the freedom you usually get in RPGs. Very linear plot progression; there's no overworld for you to roam, you just progress through areas in chapters. However it's still a very solid game with one of the best plots i've ever seen, with incredible music as well.

That's what a JRPG is, Caael. :P
You're used to western RPG's with their free-roaming environments.

As far as I know, Tales of Symphonia had a free overworld that you could roam in.Thats not a JRPG

Golden Sun 2, anybody?
Linear, but it certainly didn't feel like it.
And I'm almost positive some towns were there mostly for fun.

Well my point is, is that WRPG's generally have a more open world and are freer to roam as you please, where as JRPG's are more linear with a deeper story.
But lets not get back into that argument again.

completed it earlier with 37 hours on the clock, overall a truely excellent experience, even the game's patronizing simple difficulty and poor character development arent enough to deny that. Musical score is one of the best i've heard, one of Sakuraba's best works, but above everything its just fun, the battle system is original and makes battles something genuinely enjoyable rather than a chore.
I'd like to say its the best JRPG of recent times but its got nothing on Persona 3
