Awhile ago Toasty helped me set up dual monitors; a 19" acer p191w and a 15" hp f1503. I didn't have any problems.

After a bit, I switched to a big screen TV on its own. After coming back to the dual monitors, I'm having a problem. Either one of them on their own works fine, but if I plug two in at once, I get a weird problem.

I can't change the resolution on the "second" monitor, and when I hit extend, it just refreshes my main monitor as if I changed the settings to the same thing, and nothing happens to the other one. It says there are multiple monitors on the first one instead of two separate monitors or something? In catalyst control center, it recognizes the second monitor, but as an attached display?

Extend main onto monitor has the same result as trying to extend through display properties.

Clone with main monitor works, but it's useless because I'd just be looking at the same thing twice (and it'd have to be at 1024x768 on my bigger monitor which looks like ****, or 1440x900 on my small monitor which looks like squished up ****)

Stretch Main horizontally/vertically onto monitor both have the same effect as cloning.

In the graphics adapter drop-down box, it only recognizes the acer p191w (i guess cause the other one is just attached to the it?)

i know that the above post is a mess. im dead tired and just trying to figure this bull**** out

thanks toasty and max in advance XD

There's a two-point slider right there, what happens when you drag it?
