So Natal will be able to do fingers. Excellent. It's rather amazing to see how much effort is put into pushing video game tech. forward these days.

While the anti-casual part of me screams FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU-, the potential of this **** is pretty high.

It seems alot of people are sceptic, I am open to it as long as every game made is not destined to include a gimmicky control but instead that Project Natal becomes a platform for family games on the XBox 360.

I hope it doesn't become a Wii like system.

As you say, I am slightly skeptical, to be honest. It's going to take more than a painted elephant to convince me that this is a worth-while investment.

On the plus side, Microsoft was in control of E3.

Natal looks amazing, but sadly we're never gonna get games that work well with it for a few years. It might be time for the 720 by then....I'll probably buy it anyway though.

Apparently the 360 isnt even half way through its life cycle yet, so no worries.

But the original X-box lasted 5 years, and it's rumoured that the 720 should come around 2012. If the 720 does come then (bar any doomsday disaster on the 21st of december), and isn't combatable with Natal, what's the point?????????

The point?????????????? The point??????????? is that what your saying is a presumption and if Natal is succesful and the 360 is succesful then the next X box which I highly doubt would be named 720 would incorperate everything that was succesful about the previous generation.

It`s better than calling it As Of Yet Unnamed Future Microsoft Gaming Console.....and since when have gaming perpherals been cross generation?

Actually Legolastom's right. Microsoft's committed itself to a 10 year cycle. It's not just the hardware developers though, game developers have been begging not to bring out new consoles so soon... they can't keep up with the costs, as some games are already approaching movie-level budgets.

Natal and the 360 are here to stay for a good while. Here's hoping we'll see some good content for Natal, the E3 unveiling was very memorable.

Just an unimportant question. Is it pronounced nay-tul, as in birth, or nuh-tal? I've heard it pronounced both ways.

                          It's nuh-tal, five word limit.
