[Golden Legacy]

It's been about a month since my family moved into a new home, and I've liked it very much. Having your own room is a fantastic feeling, it's empowering even. Being in "control", having it the way you like, there's a lot of room for creativity and to express yourself.

I've been thinking about all the varied ways I could change my room, adding new things and making it 'mine'. So I thought we'd have a topic to show our ideas. How does your room look?

My room looks pretty awful. It's incredibly messy and there's just clothes and books and stuff everywhere. Most of my posters are pretty old and I can only see some patches of my carpet.

Ever since I got a job and able to buy my own room stuff, my greatest vice has been posters. I seriously have more posters than I have room on my walls. (Actually, that's not true. I have room on the walls that are visible from my door, but when you close the door and turn around, that whole wall is covered in posters. (Its really, really sad.) _{'cause they're all naruto posters X3--except one death note!}

The rest of my room is all girly and pastelish and covered in hello kitty X3

Oh, and I also have a lot of my artwork up. I have a naruto painting I did, a hand sculputre and a drape-mold bowl I made my advanced 3d art class last year. Things that mean a lot to you or you put time into doing are great ways to make a room "yours". Also a bulletin board of photos could be a nice accessory, though I think that's kind of a girl-thing.

My room hasn't changed at all in the past 10 or so years. Besides going through two different beds. Heck, I'm pretty sure the owners before us didn't do anything to it for the last 4 years of their ownership either.

Been thinking about taling down the tacky strip of wallpaper that goes all the way around, and painting the walls something besides red and yellow.

I'll try and get photos, but my current room isn't very personalized. It was an extra room that a bed got put in, and I ended up moving into it for the summer because our house is too hot on the top floor.

My room really isn't anything special, I think of it more as a place to put my stuff than something I need to personalise. Even though I have a slanting ceiling that is practically begging to be covered with posters.

Might take a picture of my room. 70% of my room is my bed, since I'm 6'1" (185 cm) so it's nothing too special.

I don't have one either, my vidja games are hooked up to the flat-screen TV in the basement. I don't have internet access in my room (lolfailrouter?), so I keep my laptop in another room as well.

Theres various WWE and Breaking Benjamin posters covering the walls. The paint is over thirty years old so I had to hide it.

I have a white entertainment system where I keep my 360, PS2, and other electronical devices.

The floor isn't carpeted, but it looks nice and I sweep it every week. I also have a swivel chair that I sit on to play Xbox.

My bed has a shelf attached to it where I keep various magazines. Except for Playboy. Thats kept in my little spaces under my bed.

How do you watch it? I think I'd get a crick in my neck just looking up at it.
