Anyone else feel like there's just too much on offer? I don't know if it's just the fact that it's the Christmas period, but I can't help but feel there's too many games available on the market these days. You may be thinking 'What's the problem with that?' but let me explain.
So I got Borderlands, Tekken 6 and Prototype for Christmas, which is great. However, my progress through those games are limited because I'm already playing the newest DLC for GTA, plus I got The Saboteur only two days before Christmas. So that's five games I want to play (maybe 4 and 1/2 if you don't view DLC as a full game)
Now I don't want to try and go through five games at once because I won't really enjoy them to the same extent as playing through one or two at a time. Not only that, but there are other games out there that I'd love to get, but that I know I wouldn't have time to play. Of course, if I just wait awhile to buy them, even more come out.
So does anyone else feel that way? Maybe it's just me and I'm ranting, but I can't help but feel there's too many games you want to get, but not enough time to get them.

There's going to be a bit of a release drought until spring 2010, so just play your games one at a time until then. You'll be lucky if you make it to march before you've completed all the games you've got.

Well I've got other stuff to do, like uni so it may be difficult. But FFXIII comes out around that time so I'll probably not wanna buy much til then.
I might wait til April to get it as I'm off for a month so I'll get more free time.

Three words: summer game drought. It always happens and is a great time to play games you missed.

That's true, but I want to play lots of games without having the time to. I just feel like I'm missing out on so much if I don't play all the games that I want to. A lot of the time, it feels like I do have the time to play games, but I don't have the money to keep on buying games. <_<

Also you could maybe stop playing mediocre games and just play the ones you actually have fun playing.

My god I can't even figure out how to make fun of that. You clearly have fun playing Modern Warfare 2, but it's mediocre.

I guess that just means your opinion is void? Yes.

Me111, don't let the fact that these games are "new" get to you. I think that's part of what you're feeling, is that these new games you want to play are being released close to the same time frame, but they're going to be around no matter what.

I've felt very similarly, and my master list of "games to play" contains over 20 titles spanning a few consoles, but most of them are games released in the past that I've not gotten around to.

I get the point, it's just that it feels like if you wait for awhile to get a game after it's come out, then tons of other games that you want to get have come out by the time you get that game.

Noooo, I've got enough money to get myself another console, I just don't give a fuck. Plus, it's good that the other games don't have much replayability, because I really don't have the time to play through my old games more than once or twice.
