While I like a loooot of artists, some more than the ones on these lists, i just dont like ENOUGH of their music to call them a fave. these guys artists are people that create songs that almost always satisfy my musical tastes. even amongst new favorites i find myself going back for more of these guys.
      Musical acts
      10. Dream Theater - their vocalist is an acquired taste but once youve made the acquisition these guys will knock you on your ass. they've got just enough metal to keep you happy but just enough melody to keep you from going crazy. im not terribly into metal so i may be purely INSULTING when i say that some shit is just too loud and indistinguishable for me. whether its a live performance or one of their albums you can't go wrong with a little DT.

      9. Paul and Storm - one of the greatest comedic folk duos of all time. if you've got a bit of an immature sense of humor or have spent at least a half hour a day on the internet you'll probably laugh your ass off at these former Da Vinci's Notebook singers. their blend of amusing lyrics and smooth listening is great for pretty much anything. they've got some catchy tunes that will have you singing along about the inventor of chicken nuggets, frogger, mannequins and tons of other random shit. i just do my best not to burst out into song in public when ive got one of their songs stuck in my head.

      8. The Beatles - no comment.

      7. Five Alarm Funk - this a band full of graduates of my high school. i don't even konw what to say about these guys theyre just so great. i had their first two CDs and got the chance to see them play during the olympics - one of the best live acts to date. the whole crowd was grooven to the beat in unison it was pre cool.

      6. audioslave - also no comment

      5. eminem - i felt the need to get a rapper in here and while i like a few rappers better than eminem hes the one who ive got the most of and probs lisyen tothe most.

      4. Girl Talk - this man introduced me to the world of mashups. he's not the best out there but certainly the most recognized and feed the animals is reason enough alone to get him on the upper tier of this list.

      3. kero one - his smooth voice and smoother music makes for a well deserved #3. dont believe me? listen to ANY of his songs and try to tell me it wasn't a nice listen..

      2. medeski martin & wood - whilst two diff genres i would lump kero one and mmw together simply because theyve got such nice music that you can forget you're even listening sometimes. if you're looking for some niice background music for ANYTHING, look no fruther than medeski martin 7 wood.

      1. jonathan coulton - joco is the king.

i chose a bad time to write this but i think i found all the mistakes jajajaja

        I love you

        Same format as PDM:

        Musical Acts

        10. Cradle of Filth- The second 'real' band I started listening to aside from VG music when I was about 11 (Lol, inappropriate lyrics for 11yrolds ftw) and they've just stuck with me since. Always liked em, probably always will.

        9. Pendulum- Introduced me to something more than rock and are just awesome

        8. Coheed & Cambria- Nostalgia factor really, I dont listen to them anymore but when I did it was some of the best times of my life.

        7. Joe Hisaishi- Incredible music, especially the Ghibli movie soundtracks.

        6. Foo Fighters- How can you not like them?

        5. HIM- Again, not the best band in the world but Ville's vocals are brilliant.

        4. Slipknot- Whilst not the best band in the world (evidently) they're the first 'real' music I started listening to (before was just VG soundtracks; we've all been there) and if nothing else, they're on this list for the nostalgia factor.

        3. Ludovici Einaudi- Has some of the most haunting and incredible piano pieces I've ever heard.

        2. Joe Satriani- Personally, my favourite guitarist of all time. I find stuff of his buried in my itunes that'll come on shuffle and reaffirm my admiration for him. So versatile and so awesome.

        1. Dream Theater- I just adore everything they do. Perfect blend of genres for me, just fuckin' a.

        Will do films later.

              9. Children of Men
              10. Spirited Away

I know the CEO of the company that localized dat movie.

Movies/Movie franchises. I want to start off by saying some of these shouldn't be on my top 10, but I'm having trouble coming up with movies off the top of my head.

              10.
A Clockwork Orange - I figured I'd start the list off with this, there was nothing that stood out about this movie, I just enjoyed it 'n' thought it would be a good number 10. kekeke
              9. The Dark Knight - It's the most current B-man movie, and while I'm not a fan of Christian Bale as Batman I really loved Heath as the Joker. I just hope there's a sequel coming (especially with Heath Ledger as the joker I can't wait!!!!)
              8. Good Morning Vietnam - Robin Williams' best movie (if it isn't Dead Poets Society, that is), there isn't much to say about this movie, only to go watch it right now if you've not seen it before.
              7. Spirited away - The animation was amusing as was the general story. I've not seen many Anime movies but this one will probably always be my favorite of them all.
              6. Windtalkers - Another war movie, and even though it stars Nicolas Cage I love it. It tells the tale of a squad of native american soldiers who carried an unbreakable code that was used to take a crucial japanese island during the war. idk, it's about the war and it stars natives. That's my excuse.
              5. Saving Private Ryan - An amazing war movie--You can see this has become a trend on my favorites list--telling an unfathomable story with a talented cast. 'Nuff said.
              4. V for Vendetta - I. love. this. movie.
              3. Fight Club - This movie is a CLASSIC. I hadn't seen it until 2009 (bite me) and somehow managed to live my life not finding out how the movie ends. I sort of caught on when Brad Pitt was never in the same room as Edward Norton with Marla around, and the way Marla was so hurt by the way Ed Norton treated her, but the twist at the end was such a shock nonetheless. I dunno maybe I'm just slow, but it really made its way into my good books.
              2. American History X - I probably like this one so much because I've seen it so recently. Something about it really struck me, though. Funny how Edward Norton made it to the top of my list in two diff movies.
              1. The Bourne trilogy - This is partially due to my man-crush on Matt Damon, and mostly due to how well the movies did despite differentiating themselves from the novels. I love the Gambits, the occasional twists and of course the action. You can suggest watching any of the three to me at any time and I'll never turn you down.
