I haven't looked too far into it (past Wikipedia and IGN really), but I haven't heard anything about this game since it was announced. Is Nintendo even obligated to make all the games they announce at E3? Are there any signs of motion in the development of GS:DS?

Was hoping you guys can help out an old member. Thanks =)

I'm pretty sure any new info on GS:DS would have been posted by Max or another GS member on the forum. I say let us just wait until E3 to see what's happening with GSDS.

What I'm saying if they dust it under the rug and don't talk about it at E3, are we to assume it's a forgotten project (again)?

I wouldn't expect them to allow to appear in the main show at E3 and then just let it die. It's true there's been a lack of information but I think they've still got stuff to do on it. I'm expecting stuff to appear at E3. I'll only start getting really worried if we get to December and they haven't said a word.

If we don't here any info at E3 I'm not going to be surprised, but I'm not going to call dooms day about it. It's a little JRPG title, I'm not really sure what you're expecting as far as press coverage goes.

Supposedly the game was weel on it's way to being finished when it was announced. If I remember right, wasn't it supposed to be released at the end of this year? At least in Japan?

And isn't Nintendo generally tight lipped about their upcoming games and hardware?

Alright, I guess I was expecting a "new Apple product, red-carpeted" release for this game and that's not too realistic. I would still like to hear SOME news though. This forum dies a little bit with every month they stay "tight lipped".

I changed my mind, we probably will hear a little bit of something at E3. But if not, don't worry too much. I don't think Camelot is working on anything else right now. They canceled the lame golf project they were working on for the PC, so it wouldn't make sense to dump it without first hearing word of a different Camelot project.

like WD said, it's a tiny ass jrpg by a company with like 4 games under their belt. and hasn't it always been thaat we wouldn't hear news for a year?

A bit of news out of Nintendo's E3 2009 press conference sure to make RPG fans get the warm fuzzies, the Golden Sun series continues on the Nintendo DS next year.

From Kotaku. I also recall either Nintendo themselves, or an official, reliable source saying dont expect much news untill E3 2010. Im just scanning the announcement thread to try and find something.

I doubt we'll be seeing much about Golden Sun this E3 anyway. Zelda will likely be the biggest thing for Nintendo. Which isn't all that bad, cause I'm more curious about Zelda anyway. :(

Yes, Camelot has hardly made any games ever because they're relatively new to the video game market.

The Shining series is actually pretty big with quite a long history, and the GS series has sold roughly 1.7 million copies. I'd say Camelot is quite experienced in JRPG development.

Though they're not a huge company by any means.

They're small, but they're pretty talented game designers.

Nippon Ichi Software's list is about twice as big, and alot of people would call them a small company (if they've even heard of them) Toasty.
