So, I was a little skeptical of this anime at first, but the first episode turned out to be pretty good.

Then the second one came out, and I was hooked. This looks like it'll be pretty good.

    ^ Episode 1 if you're interested.

Since a long ass time ago. :\

Something like, 7th or 8th grade, so about 3 or 4 years ago I guess. I just never bothered to be very vocal about it on GSSF because most of the stuff that's come out hasn't been worth mentioning imo. Not bad, just not good enough to say anything like "HEY WATCH THIS," or something.

Except for TTGL, this, and a small number of others.

They are kinda similar, but the personalities are definitely different imo.

I find Haruhi to be more random and commanding. What's-her-face from this anime is less goofy/random, but still just as energetic.

That's what I'm seeing, at least.

                Still, they are pretty similar.

watched 5 eps now and the show is really good

enough genuinely funny stuff to counteract the tragic backstories

Finished watching the 13th and final episode yesterday. Quite possibly the best thing to happen to anime since TTGL. Maybe.

                    It's pretty freaking good.

                      it was decent overall

the twist at the end was pretty fucking awesome

but for too much of the series, it couldnt decide if it wanted to poignant or just plain ridiculous

I thought it did a good job of balancing the humor with the drama. Overall, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

[EDIT] Have to say, I'm enjoying the GirlDeMo album that Key put together. Pretty good stuff.

a lot of the timing for comedy sections is misguided, tries to get cheap laughs on the back of a harrowing scene, if you like the show you should definitely check out Kanon (2006 ver) and Clannad to see comedy/drama done brilliantly

if that's the GirlsDeMo EP with Thousand Enemies/Rain Song/Highest Life then i already have it, its rather good \m/

Yeah, I've seen both seasons of Clannad (and the OVA's). I just kinda liked this more than I did Clannad. I haven't watched Kanon though.

                                Yessssssss

Why didn't I see this earlier?

On a side note, I got the piano sheet music for the opening theme (not official, but good enough), so I've been learning to pay that. Got about half of it so far, but dang it's hard. The opening has taken me the most time to get down so far.

Then I decided to learn Clannad Afterstory's opening theme by listening to the mp3. I've actually been having some success, but it's also pretty freaking hard.

Been on my list for a little while now, though I can't say I'm a fan of the art style. :\

But now it seems I'm having trouble finding a torrent for it.

indeed it is, most of her regular releases are based within pop, classical and/or jazz

Ya, I liked her too. Enigmatic Lia still gets played every now and then.

I ended up finding a torrent for [Doki]'s subs. Got all the eps and the BD release. Thanks anyway though.

Also, I just started downloading that album. I'm curious to see what it sounds like.

It's hardcore, the genre you have, on multiple occasions, called repetitive and boring. But have an open mind.

                                                      It's Lia, so it's automatically good. :P

So far, song three on disc 1 is my favorite. It's a remix of "A song to pass the time" (aka Toki wo Kizamu Uta). But that's probably a given since I was already a huge fan of that song.

that's because fracus is one of the few hardcore artists who turns everything they touch to gold. I could link to some normal hardcore in the same vein when I get my normal computer back if you want.

I wasn't particularly impressed with the sandstorm mix. My two favorites for now are Fly High Again (original mix) and Toki Wo Kizamu Uta (JAKAZiD Remix).

Still haven't touched disc two though.

Funny, EL came out in '05.. Jakazid was 15, 16 when it was released.

And disc two? Do you mean the second album? Cause if so there's 3.
