It seems like the thing that people are trying to sell these days. To be honest I really don't like the idea but I'll let others speak before throwing in my two cents.

TVs that do 3D without using glasses is in the works... the problem I have with it is that I'm certain it'll cause more of a strain on your eyes than staring at a TV already is.

It's a nice idea but theres far too much emphasis on it; being hailed as the next big thing in technology, when it's been around for decades. I like it but I hate how it's shoved down my throat at every opportunity.

The base technology behind a 3-D tv would cause your brain to rot if you watched it too much...why bother with the stress? I'm already mostly blind, like I need them to be any friggin worse cause I think that sticking my hand through Freddy's face is funny as he kills some girl in 3-D.

I didn't think the 3D added much to Avatar which only real appeal was that it was 3D. Not keen on 3D technology.

Yea but Avatar was supposed to me one of the most amazing graphical movies evah...I wasn't impressed I'll be honest. If they plan on doing 3-D then why not skip right ahead to just using holographic imaging instead?

I think it's a good idea, but to dish out the money for that, I'll stick with 1080p on a 50".

Plus, I never got to see Avatar, but I have seen How to Train Your Dragon in 3D and was somewhat impressed with the affects.

On top of it all, I most likely have the worst vision out of everyone on this forum site, which means that this 3D crap is probably hurting my brain and eyes more than anything, lolz.

All in all, I think it still has a long way to go and is too much money.

Pretty much this. Somewhere down the line when it doesn't drive the cost of TVs up too much, it'll be a nice thing to have, but I just don't want to watch TV in 3D all the time. I mean it'll be fun to re-watch Beowulf in 3D and put your hands up in the air to pretend to grope Angelina Jolie in your own home, but that's about it.

Yes, supposedly. I actually pitched the idea, we discussed one briefly and were left to search for a mod for one. I found one that might work with our version, but nothing came of it. Honestly though? I changed my mind. I don't think a rep system is worth the trouble, from my experience people tend to rep each other simply for making funny posts rather than constructive ones, and bat people for disagreements.
