well, i know ur busy and stuff max but GSW already has a new little section at these Forums and because of that i thought it might be a good idea to also make a skin for GSW along with the elemental versions.

I think if he was to make a skin for GSW it should be on the GSW forums first, not GSS. We already have 4 skins heading our way, let's not be too greedy lol. ^_^

Well it has it's OWN forums too, but it has a section in our forums too, unless Max has managed to ling the section in that forum to this one somehow.

oh, no, if you click on "Golden Sun World" the link (also known as the title of that category) It'll lead you to a page with ONLY that category (which is the GSW forums)

Yeah. GSW doesn't have it's own forum yet and I don't really see a need to. Everyone who knows stuff about GSW resides here so adding another forum they ahve to cover would be ridiculous.

I don't really see the need for the new skin, maybe something a little different though (new colour scheme or something.)

I think it should, GSW is it's own thing. We need not to crown our forum up with too much stuff.

I guess GSW could be the default skin, since I we don't want no problems with people saying Max being baised by choosing "insert element name" as default :(

and why is that? when the original idea was formed, (in the IR era) we agreed that it would be a part of the site, something that will catch fan's attention, just like WOTA.
even though it has it's own site, it's still part of GSS.
i might be wrong but that's my opinion on that. I think we still need things to chain GSS and GSW together.

Julian is right on: GSW is completely part of GSS, I just gave it its own site to give it some more attention in the beginning. I may decide to make a skin for it, or I might not; we'll have to see.

Yeah, I still don't like the fact that our board here have too much forums. Boards with too many forums tend to overwelm people, making the forums seem like something too big.

No. We started out with 12, that wasn't too many. The board selection here is very good, not overwhelming at all! Just because we have a new section for gsw dosn't mean that people will get overwhelmed and leaved, if anything, it will bring in more people interested in gsw!

1. No. another forum?! do you understand how much trouble it would be? Look, GSW itself is a INTERACTIVE (sort of like a live chatroom/forum) game. It's own/big forums is NOT needed. Max and AveneR just needs a place to answer people's questions, suggestions and etc. Actually, to mean, i don't even think a forum is needed at ALL. As far as i know and care, there won't be a "OWN FORUM".

2. Okay, agatio, i don't think j00 understand. GSW was ORIGINALLY made so that IR (now known as GSS after merging with GSH) would have something totally unique and original, something that will attract more fans because without something totally original, there wont be a good ENOUGH reason to come to THIS site (it was back then anyways, when WOTA and GSN was still alive, but even now, GSAR has humor and GSR has a really nice OVERALL site) another thing, i don't think max would want to spend another dollar on a domain name, it's not nessasary. GSW will NOT be it's own because when max and i planned out this idea, we INTENDED it to be a part of IR (aka GSS).

edit:oh yes, PDM makes a very good point because if what he said happened, the plan we originally had would have totally BACKFIRED.

As Julian pointed out, GSW was originally an idea he and I came up with last year to bring in visitors to Isaac's Revenge and so the site would have something unique in the still competitive community. Sadly, only a few large sites have survived this long, and there is hardly any competition between the sites anymore. Nevertheless, GSW is still one of GSS's main attraction points, and will never become a seperate identity. And like Julian said, I don't think it would be worth spending money to get another domain and uprade my hosting account to allow for said domain.

Anyways, like was said before, I don't really think a totally seperate forum for GSW is at all necessary. These GSW forums only exist as an outlet to hear suggestions and, in the future, as a help and support medium.

Getting back to the skin topic, how about just an outline of different colors? Example:
You have the screen of the GSW:

Just the screen, not the whole browser window. Then you could have different colors of an outline to that screen, different borders. Like some kind of misty blue, or camoflauge green, etc. Or different flags for different nations, but thats proboblty too far. Besides, the whole thing is kind of minor, but it gives the player another something to control and make personal.
The "b's" in the below picture shows where it would go, in case i wasnt clear enough.
