So it's a bit old, but I don't think many know about this series.

As far as action's go, It's a bit slow moving, but if you like mysteries, then it's definitely the anime for you. The series surrounds a mysterious girl named Robin who has just transferred to a Japanese unit dedicating to hunting witches and investigating cases involving the paranormal. However, all those who work in the STN-J are also witches-- the only way to live in society as a witch is to hunt other witches.

Robin is brought in as a replacement for a team member who passed away, partnering up with Amon. Amon is dedicated to the STN-J and often acts as a leader but when he is assigned Robin as his partner, he treats her like a pest and often tries to keep her as uninvolved as possible.

The icing on the cake is the english dub. Nothing is sugar coated, and it's pretty much word for word translation. Not only that, but Amon is voiced by none other than Crispin Freeman, who has been the voice actor for Itachi (naruto), Alucard (Hellsing), Hagi (Blood+) and many other deep voiced bad asses.

I think I'm on 12 now? Things are finally getting really interesting. They go into the background behind witches and I think something's gonna happen to Robin. Maybe its worth picking back up? I don't know.
