Not sure if this has been discussed yet, but apparently, Amazon's revealed the game's boxart.

To be honest, I like it, but I liked the boxart for previous games in that they showed all of the party members... Still, like I said, I think it's good.

It's totally out of the vein of previous GS boxart, and it looks cheap. It's too flashy.


Honestly, it reminds me of the musical score, which I'm also not very impressed with so far. It's like they're using cheap tricks to make it look/sound better.


don't get me wrong though, I'm still looking forward to the game. Though I have an odd feeling that the in-game mechanics are going to have a similar feel to them. :\

I like the box art for the first Golden Sun more than The Lost Age. I never finished TLA actually because I dislike Felix. Just couldn't get into the game.

Why are people griping about box art? Be happy the game is even here...I hate it when people moan and groan about such little crap. Then they go around and there like "I'm not as excited for this anymore as I was, because it didn't fit to my standards that I had imagined it to be" bull crap. Grow a pair and open the big window, we finally got GS3! We got what we asked and we wonder why some games just don't get the remake/sequel we ask for. People who moan over the little crap. Also, who the heck cares about the graphics? RPGs are not about the graphics to begin with, sure there nice in both GS1 and GS2, but what is wrong with a little change? I'm more then positive a good portion of the fans would have ended up disliking the same style for a 3rd time, I know I would have. I love the style, but it was time for something new.

we're not complaining, we're pointing out how bad it is. are we not allowed to do it? will it effect the gameplay? no. do i have the right to call it a piece of shit? yes. grow a pair and be happy it's gs3? it's just a game, i don't have merely as much enthusiasm as i would have 7 years ago, so i notice the little flaws more.

I'm pretty sure it has already been pointed out, so why continue pointing it out? When you vent how much you dislike it all I read is moan groan groan moan and moan.

I'm 20 years of age and I still have just as much enthusiasm as I did seven years ago for this series. I don't know what happened to you.

Being a fan boy of the series is bad? That's why we all post here isn't it? To express and discuss how much we enjoy this series as a whole? or am I missing something here? I really disagree on the sprite-style being an important part of the game, it was a very stylish part of the game, unique to say the least, but it wasn't a huge factoring part of the series for me and I'm sure others too.

My final say in this is, be happy you even get to play a third installment to the series and stop nit-picking every little flaw. It can only be so good, not everything will always meet your expectations and standards. Who cares how the box art looks, just let me play whats inside the box!

That's the point of this topic, to discuss the boxart; whether the opinion of it is good or bad is irrelevant. I do enjoy the fact that there's a new game, but in this topic, Dark Dawn boxart, I'm gonna call the art bad all I damn well please. I'm not gonna say it's good just because I enjoy the game. Fans yea, but hey, GSSF posters, which of you would call yourselves GS fanboys? Mind you this means blindly defending it, and ignoring any flaws someone points out to you in an effort to sway your ignorance. Like I said, we all still like/love GS, it's a great rpg series, but you'd be hard pressed to find too many members who would call themselves fanboys anymore. Don't confuse the sentimental feelings you have for this place with how you feel about the game.

You have a valid point. I don't think any of the long-time members have stayed here out of loyalty to the games necessarily. But I would definitely still call myself a fan of the series after all this time and it is one of the highlights of my overall gaming experience in my life.

It hasn't been a driving force in keeping me here for 6 years, but I know there was still a reason why I was so overwhelmed with emotion when GS3 was announced.

So would I. I said so in my preview post. And originally, we all came here for GS (except the spambots and coz). I was merely stating his claim that we're all fanboys and that's the reason we post here still is false, for the most part.

See how shit that would be? Of course we're all happy the game is coming out but we still should be able to express our opinions about parts of the game. So it was confirmed to be 72 Djinn in this third installment correct? I seen a picture of how many a character carries each, each character can hold 8 Djinn. That would mean there are going to be nine characters. And in this photo I saw, it showed a slight top of a 5th characters head?
