Does Dark Dawn achieve a better realism than the previous games?

I'd say with the inclusion of a bow (which I thought was strangely missing from the first two games) and the more advanced technology, it's somewhat more realistic.

Though I think that's highly irrelevant anyway. It's a fantasy JRPG, so it's not really supposed to be realistic, and I think in most cases developers of JRPG's shouldn't aim for realism. It's like the developers of Mario Kart deciding they need to make their game more like Gran Turismo.

Still, you have to strive for something... a few exceptions aside, I think most people want a game more advanced than a GBA game if they're playing a DS game.

If you're referring to graphics, then yes, GS definitely has more realistic looking, or fancier graphics. It's also definitely more advanced than the other two games.

But if you're referring to the story or elements of the game, a bunch of teenagers traveling around using psynergy isn't exactly realistic.

Realistic? The first two games weren't trying for realism at all so why would this game? Are you sure realism is the word your looking for? Apologies, sir, but you be trollin'?

when the plot is this bad, level of realism is even more irrelevant than usual
