Someone Else's List of Oblivion Mods

Must-Have Mods:
Mods that I think you absolutely MUST have. If your Oblivion mod list doesn't like these guys, then fix it so that it does. You'll thank me later. This list of mods should be able to work perfectly with each other with little to no conflicts. Keep in mind quest-mods, item mods, and location mods aren't listed as must-have on principle; the content of mods like those are sometimes one-play wonders you won't use again upon completion, or simply because they're skippable, and not must-have! Listed in no particular order.

Personality Idles

• Also take a look at this version. I'm not sure about the difference or if they're dependant on each other.

Francesco's Leveled Creatures and Items OR Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul

• Fran's and OOO are really two different flavors of the same sort of thing. Both mods seek to remove the levelling that vanilla Oblivion had where items and enemies were "matched" to the player's level, creating a more static world like Morrowind and previous Elder Scroll's games. But it doesn't just end there, these mods add new enemies (some of them unique like boss fights) new items, and even new locations. Fran's adds and changes less things than Oscuro does, so is therefore less likely to have conflicts. OOO adds more content, TONS of it, but it's also very hard and is notorious for having major conflicts and incompatibilies. I personally pick Fran's, but do your own research and pick the one for you.

Cool Mods:
These are mods that are very worth looking into, but I'm not listing as must-have because A) there are tastes, and these mods may have many similarities to other mods that you might prefer over what I'm listing and/or B) they're known to have too many conflicts or incompatibilities with other, more popular mods to be worth using. The mods in this list may have conflicts with each other, so don't get all of them. They might also conflict with the must-have mods, most notably OOO.

I play it. Got it for my XBox 360. It's awesome. Sad thing is, though, that I can only play it from 1am to 3am, because my Dad doesn't go to bed until 1am, and he's usually watching something on TV or playing it himself until then.

But yeah, it's awesome. It takes a little while to get started - there's this bit at the beginning of the game that you have to do, which takes about an hour or so, but then you're out and can do what you want. Still got all the same guilds, like the Fighters Guild, Theives Guild, and Mages Guild. The Theives Guild is hidden in Oblivion, though, and unless you know how, it's difficult to find. Also, in Oblivion, you can join The Dark Brotherhood, but like the Theives Guild, it's hidden, and you have to do a certain thing for them to come to you and offer you a place.

Also, I haven't found it yet, but there's a faction called The Order of The Virtuous Blood, which I think is a Vampire Hunters organisation. Not sure, though. They probably wouldn't like my character anyway, seeing as she's a vampire. xD

Speaking of vampires, becoming a vampire in Oblivion doesn't make the game almost impossible like in Morrowind. A lot more work has gone into the vampires in this game.

It's easier to get around in Oblivion, too, because you can fast travel to anywhere you've already found by bringing up your map and clicking on it.

And you'll probably already know this from screenshots, but the graphics are incredible. It's something else to see them in motion.

But seriously. When you get the game, let your friends know they won't be seeing you for a year or two. xD It's frickin' huge.

Yeah, I heard Oblivion had been rated M in the States. Didn't they do that because there was some mod that someone made that made everyone in the game naked? xD

Funny thing, I just started playing yesterday and I was looking for a topic on this just now. And guess what. Hey I found it!

This is not my type of game...
Starting off in a prison cell with an old king in your face almost 24/7 isn't very pleasing to me me... (He really scares me, oh and the magic goblin that popped out behind my back in the dark)

I just don't like dark places I guess, but after the underground dungeon it was fine... Till I got to Oblivion.

Then I start playing my friend's save, which was higher leveled and was mainly just working on teh main quest. And Yes, his character is already at Oblivion.

Is it true that it's impossible to do melee (and obviously ranged) fighting in 3rd person? Cause I see videos that prove otherwise, with people fighting in 3rd person camera.

No, it's not impossible to do melee in third person. Sometimes with lots of enemies around I find it easier to whack them with that camera angle. But it's really frickin' hard to aim your bow while in 3rd person.

So I'm a wood elf (he's so small! :P) born under the steed with a custom class.

Oblivion isn't that hard, at least not the first gate. I past the whole seize on Kvatch quest at level 2. Either that makes me really good or it's not that hard. The only thing I don't like about the oblivion world is that you easily get lost, that doesn't really happen in a dungeon (the goblin and the fort ones at least.)

I actually found the seize on Kvatch quest harder at level 7 because then you encountered flame atronachs and a lot more scamps.

The oblivion world only kinda creeps you out, spikes rising out of the ground with no warning... that makes you jerk. ;)

I haven't actually played the game myself, but I saw my friend play it on his XBox 360. He's part of the Theives' Guild and he can turn invisible. n.n Anywho, the best part about watching him is the fact that he broke into houses half the time and stole a bunch of stuff.

A funny thing that happened while he was stealing was when he was in the Imperial City's item shop. When he opened the door to a room upstairs, the dog of the owner started barking at him. Of course, since the owner could have woken up, my friend killed the dog with his sword and dragged it back into its doghouse. After he stole some more stuff, he crept to the shop owner sleeping in his bed and stole his keys and money.

I mihgt get this game for the PC. Looks fun just for the stealing. XD

I got the game. Love it. I forget what level I am, I'm somewhere around 20, though. I'm a Knight, but I'm regretting making a custom class... I never use hand-to-hand so I wish I could've had some other Major Skill there.

I'm almost a master of Heavy Armor. What's cool is that when I do reach Master level, my equipped armor will have no weight effect on me. Oh my god, I can't wait 'till I get there though, cause then I could hold so much more loot!

I'm an Expert at blade, too. I love using backwards Power Attacks!

I'll post a picture of my character (without a helmet) soon. He's awesome with his Glass Longsword lol.

I've got a lvl 16 bosmer, who always where the black hand robes (Dark Brotherhood quest), she's my assasin.

My active one is lvl 8 Nord, she's my goody goody women. She's in the Dark Brotherhood too, but as long as I don't get caught commiting a murder my infamy won't go up, so I'm still good in the eyes of everyone else. :)

There are two INIs, one in the game folder called "Oblivion_default.ini", this is the one it uses to generate the REAL one....
My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini

Edit the first one if you want to default to having screenshots on by default for all users. The settings it uses at runtime are the ones from My Documents folder.

After you mod the INI file, you can press PRTSCN button and Oblivion will write a BMP file to your game folder.

I did that but it still hasn't saved any screens for me. Oh well. I'll figure it out later. *plays the game*

I have Oblivion for PC, with a few custom mods enabled - Osuro's Oblivion Overhaul, Ren's Mystic Elves (the race you see in my screenie), and a few environment enhancing mods like Natural Environments.

I have a custom class, which focuses on light, quick attacks. o.o (Majors in blade, block, light armour, sneak, etc.)

My girlfriend is hooked on this game...no more sex for phantom! :) Nah LOL shes not that hooked. Although I will say our conversations on the phone have got heavily lopsided with me being the main speaker lol.

This game is fantastic, it was the first title I bought with my 360 and both the graphics and gameplay are near perfect. The experience system is very nice but somewhat flawed, which is one of the little things that let the game down slightly.

To be more detailed, everytime you level up everyone in the game world levels up with you, so technically you can enter any area or fight any boss and they will be the same level as you meaning that you always stand a chance of victory. The problem is that when enemies level up they always just increase their power and health, where as if you're not a Fighter you'll be increasing something else. This means the enemy will become far stronger than you at later levels because they've just been whoring their health and power ever since the start of the game. You can fix it a little by adjusting the difficulty level down a bit.

I just started playing this more, whored up with texture mods, including one which includes a quest to get Cloud's Tsurugi and all It's parts from Advent Children. I have the same race pack as Formina, a cute little elf, that looks like Sephiroth *Shifts eyes*. The monitor I use can't handle all the excellent graphics, but there are a few mods that fix that too! Oblivion for the PC rocks ass. Currently head of all guilds, completed the main storyline, just trying to finish off all the little side missions, which there are too many of!

As you can see from my unlocked Achievements I haven't completed all the guilds yet. I've completed the Dark Brotherhood and the Arena but I'm still working on the Thieves, Fighters and Mages guilds. Not really looking forward to the last two since I prefer using stealth in this game, only the Thieves guild is of any interest to me.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the Mage's and Fighter's Guild, however, the Thives Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests are just awseome. But all in all, the Thieve's quests have to win, simply because being sneaky is just cool, and that, sadly, is the best way I can put it.

Dark Brotherhood has the best quest of all the guilds. Other pretty fun quests are those you get from daedric shrine quest. You also get the most satisfying rewards from these quests. Unlike the arena and other guild quests where you have to finish (sometimes nearly) the whole quest line before getting good stuff instead of cash.

My newest character is a female imperial, specialising in stealth.

I make a new character for each guild but my Dark Brotherhood character was an LV21 Dark Elf who was a custom job I called 'ShadowBlade' which was a mix between a Thief and a Warrior.

I have a full set of Daedric Armor on my LV29 Knight... I look evil. With 91 Fame and 2 Infamy to boot.

That 2 Infamy came from joining the theives guild. I finished Umbaccano's quest. The one where you have to get the Aylied (sp) Statues. (SPOILERS) So I led the little Wood Elf, Umbaccano, to his little throne room in the ruins, the Marada ruins I think. He did some chanting at the throne which was kinda embarrasing for me to sit through, the voice work for Wood Elves is so crap. Anyway he turned into an evil Lich King, and then a bunch of Liches pop out of nowhere and before I know it, I'm getting Shock damage by their spells. Good thing I had a Storm Ring which gives me 100% protection from Shock, hehe. So I took out my staff of Conflagration and mow down Umbaccano and a few Liches with the fire, and I escape the ruins before the Liches mowed ME down with their headless zombies.(/SPOILERS?)

ANYWAY, I stole back the Ayleid Statues that I worked so hard to get, and sold a few of them to the Theives Guild. Yay, that's 250 gold each.

Harcane Grove, the trick is not to kill the minatours, leave your weapon sheathed, jump on the unicorn and gallop outa there.

For one daedric shrine quest you need his horn, just ride him out of there to a city, draw your weapon and let the guards do the dirty work.

So yes, I've found, tamed and butchered the unicorn. (That'll make a great text for on a shirt)

Just a note to 360 owners of Oblivion; the Mehrunez Razor content is free to download from the marketplace until the end of January or something. This is a little gift from Bethesda for Christmas.

Ooh, that's awesome. I bought the Knights of the Nine pack at Best Buy for $10 (a bargain, really) and the Mehrune's Razor quest is awesome. It's just a dungeon crawl, but it's a GOOD dungeon crawl. The Razor itself is great for Theives characters too.

I had enough Strength to just force the door open. I didn't need to eat the heart. Ew.

It gives you constopation. You have to visit all the Wayshrines in 10 seconds to cure it.

But sersiously, all it does is give you some weird disease and give you the Vampire disease too. The Razor is pretty awesome. I like killing Dremora with it. That way Dagon claims the soul of one of his own servants.

I haven't got the Razor yet, I'm too busy still trying to complete the quests for the other guilds. To be honest I only liked the Dark Brotherhood but I want to unlock all the achievements so I'm trying to complete the other guilds too. Once I finish those I'll download the content packs and finish them.

Yah, the Dark Brotherhood is made of pure wn. The Black Hand robes are nice armour. I always go and randomly murder someone in the market district when I start just to get the Dark Brotherhood going.

And if they are going to make anymore plug-ins, it should be one that 3 game months after you finish the main quest, Kvatch should be rebuilt!

Yeah, that wouldn't be a bad idea at all actually. An update which re-builds Kvatch and in turn provides new quests and items.

And I finsihed Knights of the Nine last night but couldn't be arsed to say anything. It's an awesome expansion. It's just fun alone going into the Bravil chapel and seeing a dead body on the altar. And the view from above the Imperial City is awesome to say the least.

I don't think it's done yet; it's an early build.

I think Betheseda is going to rebuild Kvatch in an official expansion. The retail version of Knights of the Nine wasn't really an expansion, it was more like a big plug-in of all the official downloads Betheseda made.

Invincibility mods are for people who can't play games. "Oh look! I'm so pro! I modded the game so I can't die!" Yah. Proves you're good at the game.

In game, hit the tilde or ~ and type in "tgm" without the quotations.

And there you go, you got God Mode.

Cheats are tons of fun to play around with in Oblivion. I love spawning Daedra in the Imperial Marketplace with God Mode on. :D

I never use cheats, it makes me feel dirty.

Although I can understand if someone wants to use cheats after completing a game. For example a lot of people like to use the funny cheats on Grand Theft Auto games after completing them as it really helps expand the lifespan of the title a tiny bit more.

And you heard of Shivering Isles yet? This is a REAL expansion. As in, a new area, ruled ny Shegorath, Prince of Madness. Yes, you actually get to MEET him. He's holding a cane. And it's actual voice acting. Apparently, no two characters share the same lines and most are insane. Is supposed to be about 1/4th the size of Cyrodill and have 30+ hours. 15 new monsters, (some from Morrowind are in there) a sword that levels up with you, new armour, and a bloody room in which in you can make your own monster. Sweet. Bear in mind, this place looks like you would expect a realm of madness to look.

Morrowind FTW. I have Oblivion, I have many, many mods for it (including personal touch ups I have created myself) but there is nothing like Morrowind. I have 4gb of compressed mods for Morrowind on a DVD.

Many Morrowind modders dislike Oblivion, and have chosen to stick with it. I recommend you play Morrowind on 16x AA and 8x Ansiotropic filtering with a 1024x1024 texture pack installed (as opposed to stock 512x512 Ob textures). Simply put, textures look better than OB, and the boost from your graphics card levels out the jaggies to the point where its on par in a different way, with OB.

I think Morrowind was great at the time. But oblivion is so much newer, bigger and better. Oblivion is just more fun now.

I played morrowind again a few weeks ago. It's good, but since they're both available. Oblivion is better.

I'd play Morrwind but I can't find a PC copy anywhere, and it's not back-compatible for the 360 YET. I mean, if they are going to make Barbie Horse Adventures available to the, Morrowind has be availabe soon.

I bought the special edition pack a few days ago for 5 quid. (Morrowind, Tribunal and Wolfthingy.)

I installed it, played it for... 5 hours or so. Then found out it was really outdated since I played years ago.

It's still a fun game though.

Hmm, my first impression of Morrowind hasn't been too good so far.

It hurts to look and listen to it after being spoiled by current-gen graphics and sound effects, but that isn't that games fault. The combat system seems a bit odd and kwirky... but I've only been playing it for so many minutes so maybe I'll get used to it.

Wow, Oblivion seems so dumbed down when compared to Morrowind. There's stuff in Morrowind that there isn't in Oblivion. There are some things I can understand why were taken out, but why would you take out Medium Armor, thrown weapons (would be a lot of fun with the physics engine in Olbivion), Spears, and all the specific skills? It makes no sense for Axes to be under the Blunt skill in Oblivion!

Although I do like how in Oblivion you no longer miss because of a computer generated dice roll like in Morrowind. :)

Anyhow, serious question. Does anyone else get attacked by a conjurer everytime they get out of jail for the first time on a file? I mean, EVERYTIME, I get attacked by the SAME ONE.

Alright, frankly I think this has sat for a while and I'm getting annoyed so I don't care if I double post at the moment.

WD or Anubis, Shivering Isles is checked in Data Files, got the latest patch, and have done EVERYTHING. Do you guys have any clue as to why it won't work?

Anyway, I install the Shivering Isles through the disc, the ESP and the BSAs get put into data, I check the box in Data Files at start up, and no matter how long I wait, the door does not appear. I have even tried using the console command to start the quest, but it says it doesn't recognize the quest, which I would believe means it doesn't even know it should be running it. I've tried looking if anything is non-compatible with it, and I've tried the mod manager, and nothing works.

I looked in the Shivering Isles glitches article on the UESP but didn't find anything. First, are you SURE the Shivering Isles ESP is checked? Because after you install the expansion it should automatically "check" itself and you shouldn't have to go into the Data Files to check it manually. I don't know, maybe you unchecked it.

If that's not it, the other thing you could try is changing the load order to make the Shivering Isles ESP load first. This means moving it all the down to the bottom of the list. (the game loads ESPs from bottom to top)

If that's not it, try downloading this:

I actually doubt it'll fix your problem but you should download it anyway. It fixes a very serious bug, and it doesn't matter whether or not SI starts working for you, as long as you have the SI ESP loaded, this glitch could affect your game.

Finally, if SI still doesn't work trying going to the official Elder Scrolls forums or giving a little more detail to me if you have some.

YOU are NOT going to tell me about starting new characters. I have had to restart at LEAST 20 times because of fatal flaws.

About 2/3s of them were probably on the 360 version. The PC version is much easier to deal with problems. (Console commands = Win.)

Really? That surprises me. I'd figure mods in the PC version would give you a hard time. It's irritating when some save files grow dependent on certain mods and if you delete them, the file will behave strangely or simply not work at all...

That happened with Shivering Isles when I had to re-install Oblivion. It crapped out on me so I had to restart... I had saved in Dementia so it put me in an un-escapable Tiber Septim hotel.
It kicked in a minute later.

I've been playing a lot (up-until Wednesday) and I've been afraid to step inside the Isles.

TES Arena (first game) is really hard. So is Daggerfall (second), though I've never played that one. They have a different leveling system than Morrowind or Oblivion and also have different armor systems. The games are more realistic and therefore insanely hard. Where Oblivion you fight for money, in Arena and Daggerfall you're fighting for survival.

Seriously, diseases can actually kill you rather than lamely lowering Health or Fatigue.

I know this is a double post, but, and correct me if I'm wrong, I assume a day is alright to add something. So I was just in Anvill, and in the night, not one, but TWO people visited me. One girl with an invite to the theives guild, and a guy from the dark brotherhood. Well currently I'm in the warriors guild, and I was wondering if I should join the dark brotherhood. What advantages do they have. Being on the run would be fun, but what do they offer that other guilds, groups, or whatever, don't offer.

That's exactly it. Somehow it would AFFECT the save files. So I got ass raped every damn time. Console on PC version though <3

I remember one strange glitch where I killed almost all of Leyawin, brought them back with the re-animate dead spell and kept that going for about an hour. Loaded the file (ALWAYS SAVE BEFORE DOING SILLY STUFF THAT CAN AFFECT THE GAME. LAW. OF. LOGIC.) and all the people I had killed had the purple eyes that they would have with the spell on them. Needless to say, it was pretty ****ing weird how it back tracked it. Fixed itself after I exited the cell though.

Un-unfixable one would be when I had to re-install Oblivion. SI had some problems, and I was saved in the SI. So it locked me in a Tiber Septim where if I tried to leave, the game froze.

It's like a developer thing almost where you can enter codes to affect the game. Such as tcl which is "toggle collision" so if you get stuck behind something you can turn off collision, which is the game not letting you go though walls, floors etc. So you just enter that and you can simply walk out of there.

Also if someone that isn't marked as essential for a quest dies, you can use "ressurect" to respawn them and you can use another command to further quests, or end them if there is a problem.

Sweet. I got really mad at one point. I was hunting a dear and it jumped over some rocks, and I continue running after it and it was on a steep hill so I got stuck between to two rocks. Lets jsut say I was really pissed.

You can modify character bodies, new clothes, and new custom races but this is all for PCs. Oblivion will probably never be able to be modded on the consoles. I've never heard of it.

There are crazy amount of mods out there. I only like the house in the imperial city mods though. Since the waterfront house sucks.

The official oblivion site has some mods or whatevers for 2 bucks each or something. They're pretty sweet mods. (Horse Armour + Vile Lair are nice ones.)

I bought the Knights of the Nine retail pack and downloaded the Warrior's Castle (forgot what it was called) while it was free so I have all of them. :lol:

With those mods Oblivion is 100% better. I can't play Oblivion without those mods, particularly with the god-awful levelled creatures. BETHESDA, DON'T LEVEL CREATURES TO THE PLAYER IN ELDER SCROLL V!!!! And bring back Medium Armor and crossbows and everything else.

Vampires are a bit different in Oblivion. In a nutshell, Vampires must drink blood (reffered to as feeding henceforth) on sleeping NPCs (this doesn't kill them or turn them into a vampire) to prevent themselves from becoming more like a vampire. If you have recently fed you can walk through sun and socialize with NPCs. But the longer that you haven't fed, the more you'll become like a monster. You will become immune to disease and paralysis, as well as fortifying numerous attributes and skills the longer you don't feed. BUT, many NPCs will be afraid of you, and you will also be increasingly vulnerable to fire damage and damage from sun light as you don't feed.

When you feed on an NPC, your attributes and skills and paralysis/disease immunity will reset and you'll have to wait from feeding again to gain those benefits.

The Daedra are technically gender-neutral. They can appear physically as the form of whatever gender they please though, or become something else besides mer or man.

And the quest is given at the shrine of the Daedric Prince. Either research or it on Obliviowiki, or ask an NPC that knows things about the Daedra and/or the Daedric shrines.

Well, the Daedra you are killing are from Mehrunes Dagon, the Daedra Prince of destruction. He has 0 tolerance for mortals. The other Daedra Princes have varying tolerance for mortals. Azura has pretty good tolerance for mortals as does Sheogorath.

You can only travel in Cyrodiil. If you reach the borders of Cyrodiil a message appears saying "you cannot go that way turn back" or something and there will be an invisible barrier.

In the PC version you can edit the .ini file so there is no invisible barrier, but there isn't really much to see past there. Eventually the geometry levels flat, trees disappear, and you eventually will literally fall of the map.

Right on. I really like when big actors come in and do voices for video games, not counting movie games.

I find alot of Oblivion's actors are good, but there are soem that are just blehhh.

I just hate it when some of the voices start laughing and the mouth does nothing or just goes up down like a fish.

The comments some people make are quite funny though, the walking past ones that is.

I find it odd that when you tal kto the Dark Brotherhood they are so evil, and sound all devilish, but then when you ask them if they know any rumors, there voices go to a normal pitch, and they are sensitive. One time Ocheeva was tlaking about killing somebody, then when I asked rumors he said "did you hear about Kvatch. Sad for them. I hear it's all destroyed." Or something to that effect.

Ya. I find it odd that when I was ****nig around one day and tried to kill the DB they whupped me, but then when I have to anililate them all for Lucien, they go down like an old lady.

The elf voice actors, both male and female... oh my god. They really shouldn't have used the same voice actors for three different races.

But if it were me, Oblivion wouldn't have full voice acting. It would be more like Morrowind where people say things when you approach them, but actual dialogue would be all text.

Trust me, after you've played for more than 30 hours, you'll get bored of hearing the same voices saying the same generic things like "I saw some mudcrabs by the water recently", "The Fighters Guild is hiring again" and so on.

And WD, you ever heard/ tried The Lost Spires? It's pretty big. (Popularity wise, game wise and of course, space wise.) Just finished it. They don't recommened a high level character for nothing.

Meh, I just hate the bit at the arcane university. The guards keep saying: "O so you're the Arcane university's newest asset." Even when you're the fricking arch-mage. Just let them say "Greetings Arch-mage", just like that Raminus Polus guy.

I met him the other day. I just woke up after killing a few people to find him standing over me. Scared me, especially since I was in a dark fort at the time.
I'm getting into it but the voices are getting annoying. To hear a peasant go from 'Please spare us a coin?' to 'I believe the Fighters Guild is hiring again,' makes them seem less realistic.

Yeah I downloaded and installed. I knew about the mod for a while, or at least the name, but then I read a brief paragraph about the mod in PC Gamer magazine (this probably won't help me from not being voted as Biggest Fanboy XP) and that finally made me get it. Haven't played Oblivion much at all though. Got other games to play, so little time.

I palyed Oblivion basically non-stop since I got my PS3, but after getting .Hack, I haven't touched it.

It's pretty good. No voice acting, but no complaints there. Good loot towards the end, which you find is well rewarded because of the challenges. There's bosses and sub-bosses. One sub-boss is an ASSHOLE cause it'll freaking paralyze you LOTS. Stealth and mage characters not advisded.

1st time you get kicked out you need to find 20 bear pelts. The best place
to find them is at the Three Brother's Trading Goods in the Imperial
Market district, each of the two brothers that sells goods there has
5 of them. After you buy the 10 total sleep for about a week

2nd time you get kicked out you need to find 20 Minotaur Horns. There are
a few ways you can go about getting them.

1)If you are the arena grand champion you can sometimes fight Minotaurs in your
weekly fights.
2)Some shops sell one or two of them. So just keep sleeping till they restock.
3)Go the Harcane Grove, there are 3 Minotaurs there. WARNING: Be careful
there, the Unicorn is in that grove, and if it sees you with your weapon out
it will attack you. (The Harcane Grove is directly east of the In of Il Omen)
After you kill those Minotaurs just use the other ways to try and get 20 of
them. Sorry guys there is no easy way for this one.

Humans, unless your grand champion, they make you fight minotaurs in the weekly fights then sometimes.

But the first.... 20 battles will be against Humans/Argonians/orcs/kajit (sp?)

There are a few multiple opponent battles though. And a few strong ass fighter/spellcasters.
