comon there cant be that many differences. Besides, youd have to memorize who everyone was. Better to just have the players name over their head or if you held the mouse over their sprite the name would popup.

Yes, names below or above everyone's sprite has been part of GSW since the very first alpha version.

Maybe we could have a little settings option and we could set it to whether or not we want colors to distinguish different players with the same sprite as you, because I personally don't really like the whole color idea much... I'd rather have a name under or below the other players.

I think the whole color idea should be dropped. It takes time, and people will just be split into the different color groups, because there cant be that many different colors to use, mainly just your basic orange, blue, purple, red, and green. They still wouldnt look that much different. I think it is a useless waste of time.

You dont NEED to ask people who are you. Didnt you read maxes post? the names of the people are to be underneath or over the sprite so there is no confusion. also, i might add that people should keep their names from the forums. this should go without saying, but max, you should give people a reminder that it is a good idea to keep your screenname the same, like post it on the front page of GSW.

Yeah,it would be wierd:Example:I am looking for kate,Kate's name on GSW is Tyler ( I would be very conbuffled) It would be useless for the name above/below characters so I would use the same username

I don't like this idea.
Assuming you could change shirt and pants and hair, and you had the 5 basic colours (Red, Blue, Green, Black, Brown), there is really only 15 combinations (3 changeable things, 5 colours, 3 different orders = 45 combinations).

It really wouldn't be THAT distinguishable between members if we had more than 45. It's more trouble than it's worth.
