Chapter one
Base plans

General Risemat had big thoughts in his head.
'Alchemy. What is it really?'
A moment later, a figure walked into the room.
"Sir, the army is ready."
"Good. Good. Deploy them at once. Tell them to storm every corner of wayward for Alchemy users. They will be helpful."
"Right away, General."
The trooper went back to the camps.
'Finally. I can see what it is really about.'

Meanwhile, in a faraway part of Wayward, our hereos gathered for a picknic out in the forest.
"How much longer? My feet are killing me!" Garet aches. They have been travelling for 2 days.
"We should be almost there. Just walk slower or something. You should'nt have ran all the way."
Dustin seems to be with them, too.
"It's not my fault I love to eat!"
"Quit your whining! Were almost there. I think."
To tell the truth, the group was lost.
"Uh, I got the wrong map." Dustin said nervously.
Everyone glared at him. Then, the whole group burst into laughter.
"Don't worry. Everyone makes mistakes. I got another map while you were busy haggling."
"It's not my fault i don't know how to haggle too much! I just got the wrong map!"
"Take it easy. I just got another one, that's all.
Isaac stated.
Just after that, a massive army was cornering them, just like that.
everyone drew their weapons, but the soldieres told them to drop their weapons
"We mean no harm. By any chance, are you psyenergy users?"
A soldier asked politely.
"Why do you want to know?" Felix was getting imaptient.
"General Risemat wishes to gather all psyenergy users to his castle."
"Are we the only ones you have found?"
"No, we have also located a man named Piers. Have you heard of him?"
"Hey. They found Piers. This must be important."
"Well? We have nothing else better to do. Let's go." Isaac said proudly.
Days after that, they were at General Risemat's quarters.
"I suppose you are all psyenergy users?" He asked.
"Yes. We are. Why do you ask?"
"Alchemy. What is it. I want you to show me it's full power."
"I say we can't. We would eliminate a whole army with our powers."
"look. This Piers showed me his. I suppose it would't hurt to try uyours? His only injured two of my men."
"Fine. But we will show you only a small sample. Got it?"
"Fine. Now, display."
Isaac was first.
"Assimalate!"
Isaac used the powers of earth to bring up spires and spires up at a soldier.
Then, they went down back into the Earth.
"The mans not dead, is he?"
"I told you. We will only give you samples."
"Fine with me. Next."
"Felix was next.
"Annihilate!"
Felix brought up his sword and slashed at one soldier.
The soldier fell to his knees.
"That was drastic. Next."
Dustin was after that.
"Oddysey!"
The sky lit blue as he stabbed three swords into a soldier and rushed up to him and slashed him.
"Amazing. Next."
It was Mia's turn.
"Prism!"
Mia brought down heavy and huge balls of ice down at another soldier. He fell freezing on the ground.
"Chilly. Next."
Jenna was up.
"Pyroclasm!"
She brought up a huge tower of volcanic magma on the cold soldier. He got back up to the floor and felt warmed up.
"firey. Last."
Garet was last.
"Flame champion!"
He brought down flame spirits from the heavens and crashed them on the warmed up soldier. He was burning hot in an instant.
"Ravashing. Now that I've seen thier extent. I'd like you to use them, on the battlefield."
"Battlefield?"
Isaac was puzzled.
"War, my boy. There is this other kingdom that wants to gain the power of Alchemy for themselves. And I want to stop them."
"Don't you mean you also want Alchemy too?"
"Well, yes. But they hunger for it. I wish to, say... use it for the common good."
"I don't believe you." We should not have wasted our time and energy for that matter, to start a war. We are leaving."
"Stay, Isaac."
'That voice is familiar.'
"Briggs."
"Hello, good friend. Am I the only one that will be left out in this war?"
"Briggs are you volunteering? Why? You belong in that palce I cannot remember."
"No, Isaac. I belong here, now. They have promised me untold riches, far beyond I have ever seen."
"You belong in your home."
"I belong here."
Briggs raised his pirates sword in preparation for battle.
So did everyone else.

Chapter 2
Vs Briggs
"Briggs, you were always so into getting riches and money, huh?"
Isaac was staring Briggs down. The old pirate had no look of fear on his face. It seemed almost scary, amusing, even.
"Shut up! I am now an Adept! I got my share of the power of the Golden Sun, so back out!"
"Always so blunt."
Dustin charged at Briggs and swung downward. Briggs blocked the attack and retaliated. Dustin fell back as the force of the hit grazed him in the chest.
"I'm alright... Grrr. He's stronger than the last time I fought him! And that was just training!"
"I'll take over from here, Dustin. You heal up."
"I said I'm fine. Attack him together. I'll take his front and you'll take his back."
Then, Briggs pulled out another sword.
He then combined them to become a swordstaff.
(Sort of like star wars the phantom menace, huh?)
"Ah, now this gets interesting."
General Risemat states.
The duo took their places, and attacked.
Isaac tried to parry right, but Briggs had blocked that, too. He then kicked Isaac on the chin and the 19 year old fell back.
Dustin then his assault by using his unleash, skies the limit.
He threw Briggs up and attempted to slash him in the air, but briggs blocked that with the back end of his staff. He also kicked Dustin to the ground.
He dropped with a thump and layed down.
"Pitiful. I thought you would be stronger. Weak wretches."
The other part of the party was fighting a legion of soldiers outside. It seems this invitation was a ploy to get their psyenergy.
"We must escape! there are too many of them!"
Mia exclaimed.
"Agreed. Let's go. Teleport!"
Felix and co. warped out of the area.

"What shall we do with these two?"
Briggs asked general Risemat.
"Put them in my army. They will be useful here."

The next morning, Isaac and Dustin woke up in a cell.
"What? Where are we?!" Isaac asked.
"In a prison cell, I suppose. The accomodations are very comforting. Well, pull up a stump, relax."
Dustin said in a relaxed tone.
He stared out a window and saw a battlefield, fresh and green.
'So, we are now being used as pawns in this war.'
"Now we are being affiliated with their war."
Isaac said. He was worried. Especially about the others.
'Did they escape? I hope they did.'
"I'm worried about the others."
Isaac stated.
"Don't be. They told me they escaped. That should make you happy."
Then, there was a loud knocking.
"Okay, maggots! Time for your sentence!"
A guard came in and forced both of them out of the cell, leading them to the Alzoc pit.
"I hope you are going to like the accomodations inside the great Alzoc."
Whispering,
"Don't worry. I have a plan that will help us both. Just stick with Piers. He'll take care of everything."
Dustin said.
Isaac nodded in agreement.
The general faced them both and told them of their sentence.
"You are to be fed to the great Alzoc until you are satisfied with my offer."
"This is the last mistake you'll ever make!"
As Dustin said that, he was pushed to the balcony of the great Alzoc.
He motioned for Piers to throw him his sword and just as he did it, he fell to Alzoc, but, he clinged onto the ledge, and jumped back up.
He raised his hand and caught his sword, took it out of his sheath, and began his assault on the guards.
Isaac was lost in the confusion.
He couldn't see where he was going. Then, he saw a sword was being throown to him. He caught it and attacked the guards too.
Dustin's sky blade was swishing through the air, as it hit it's targets. His target was just to escape. Isaac wanted the same thing. Piers, wanted to be with his friends again. The battle intensified as guard by guard were defeated.
Isaac looked like he was handling himself, and so deid Piers.
'That's good.'
Dustin thought.
They nearly reached the griffins, as they were well trained. So, the three hitched rides on them and escaped their captors.
"Uh, general. Shouldn't we go get them?"
"Quiet, Briggs. I planned for this to happen."
"So, your'e going to let them escape?"
"No. They will be caught. I have a platoon on the other side of the ridge. that will take care of them."
"Good plan, sir."
"I do have a strong mind."
The general watched the escapees flee into a trap.
'I will win this war; or all of this would have been for nothing.'
That was chapter two.

Chapter 3
Ambush at starpoint

"We are almost free, fellows! This way!"
Piers called out to his companions.
Their griffins were tired and they needed to stop, but they feared that the army would capture them again.
"We are almost- Oh, no."
"What's the matter, Piers?"
"It's a trap."
"What? Look ahead of you."
Piers sounded dissapointed.
Isaac and Dustin took a look.
They gasped when they saw a platoo of soldiers at the starpoint.
"What will we do? They don't see us, so we should come up with a plan."
Isaac said in encouragement.
"If only it were that easy. Our energy has been drained, and we really won't be able to take on so many guards. What can we- I've got it!"
Piers had a plan after all.
"Well? Let's hear it."
"It's gonna be risky. If we don't watch our step, we could be killed."
"What is your plan?!"
"You see those guards bodies over there?"
"No. You are not planning we disquise ourselves?"
"Precisley."
"Then leave me out of it. I won't get my tunic sweaty and dirty in a guard uniform."
Dustin said.
"It's the only way."
Piers stared at Dustin until he would give comment.
"Fine."

Moments later, they managed to fit into the suits and get to the platoon.
"Hello, uh... Rick. You guys may pass."
'That was close.'
Now that the warriors were past the guards, they managed to retreat to the next town.
"We have gotten to Idejiima. This place is famous for surviving that wave."
"You can find most scum here. Let's tread lightly."
"Remember, we don't want to cause any conflict. the General has posted several wanted posters on every wall, every appliance, everything."
"I see. We shouldn't take off these suits just yet, then."
Isaac heard Dustin groan.
"I have a better idea."
An hour later, the three had cloaks around themselves.
Dustin had a black one, Isaac a yellow one, along with his scarf, and Piers, a blue one.
"We need to get to an inn. The soldiers are storming the city. We need cover."
"Hello! You need an inn?" A voice said.
"Who are you?"
Dustin was suspicious of this character.
"The name in Salazar Boien. Expert innkeeper. I know who you are, but I won't tell. One of you know me, and two of you don't."
"Grien? Salazar Grien?"
"Piers! It is so good to see you! Come inside. Come!"
A guard looked in theier direction and saw a strand of blue hair.
"Blue? They are here! In the inn! all troops, follow me!"

"So, Piers. How long has it been since we last met?"
"I'd say, two years."
"Very good! Come. You three look cold. May I offer some Lemurian tea?"
"Oh, yes. Thanks."
There were now loud knocks at the door.
"OPEN UP! WE KNOW YOU ARE IN HERE!"
"Oh, dear. Hurry upstairs now. I'll meet you there.
"Are you sure you will be careful?"
"Yes. Rest assured. I'll be fine."
Everyone went upstairs and the innkeeper dealt with the guards.
"Um, yes? What is it?"
"We know the prisoners are hiding here! Bring them out!"
"I'm afraid there are know prisoners here. I am sorry."
"Don't lei to us, Lemurian! We will use force if we have to!"
"No need for that. You can just leave now."
Then, a guard raised his sword."
"You wouldn't!"
"We would.'
"No, please! Please! Ple-Augh!"
the sword struck through Salazar, and the Lemurian went dead.
"I feel something is not right. Like Salazar has... vanished."
"Probably just worst case sickness. Salazar can't be dead, could he?"
Isaac said.
"I'm going to check it out."
"Piers, don't go."
"I have to. I must see my friend."
"Piers!"
Dustin yelled after him.
But he was too late.
By the moment Piers was downstairs, the guards had gone.
He saw his friend on the ground, gasping for breath.
" Salazar! No!!!"
"My... friend... it is the end for me... you must go... ugh!"
"Don't move! You'll die faster."
"I... I'm already... dead...uh..."
Pires had tears in his eyes. He now had anger filling him.
He wanted revenge.
He went back upstairs and just said: "Let's go."

Chapter 4
Back to vale

Piers was silent. He was shocked at the fact that one of his best friends died.
"Piers? Piers. Hey. Wake up. It's over."
Dustin called out to Piers.
"What is it?"
" You were dreaming. Time to leave. We ahve a long day ahead of us."
"Right, Right."
The gang moved on to Kibombo. They met some familiar faces along the way. Some were pleased to see them, and some angry with them.
"It seems we are not popular in these parts. We should leave to be less suspicious to the crowd."
"No. I need to see the witch doctor."
Piers sounded angry.
"Now, Piers? We don't want to attract too much attention."
"Fine. Let's go."
The group left Kibombo on their way to Vale.
They met Hamma onthier way. They stopped in a small town named Vosco.
"Hello, Isaac, Dustin. Piers. What can I do for you?"
"Well, we need safe crossage to Vale, but guards are flowing everywhere."
"Well, I just rearranged my Djiin to get me to Samurai. You guys should too.
"Right."
Everyone did so, and Isaac was a Lord, and Piers was a Commander.
"That should be fine enough."
"Let it be my honor to get you all to Vale."
Hamma said.
Moments later, they were returned home to Vale.
They first stopped at Isaac's house. And the party saw that everyone was waiting for them.
"Isaac! Piers! Dustin! Where were you during the ambush?"
Garet seemed pleased.
Isaac and Jenna hugged, so did Mia and Dustin.
"We were taken prisoner, but Dustin arranged a plan."
"We were ambushed. So many guards. And Salazar..."
Piers stopped.
He turned and left.
Isaac had felt some darkness within Piers. He was, getting restless.
Days after the reunition, at the General's camp, Risemat was getting restless also.
'Where are those Adepts? They should be here by now.'
"Sir! Sir! The Adepts, the ones that you said to get? They refused to come. They said they would travel alone only."
"I see. After the war, arrange a Adept hunt. We will elliminate all Adepts in Wayward. Even the escapees. "
"Yes sir. And, Briggs wanted to talk with you."
"Bring him in."
"You called, general?"
"Yes, indeed."
"Well?"
"Search for the Adepts. Kill them if they resist to be taken in. And I mean the escapees."
" This will be a clean sweep. Though, they may have gotten stronger by now. I hope they have."
Laughter fills the room.
"They will be easy targets!"
"And, after our victory, you will lead the Adept hunt."
"Yes, General."
Meanwhile, in a forest near Vale, piers was thinking how to formulate his revenge...

Chapter 5
Time for revenge!

General Risemat was staring out the window.
'My plan is working smoothly.'
He thought.
"Sir. The General from the other army wishes to speak with you, sir."
A soldier came in and reported.
"Bring him in."
"Yes, hello general risemat. I have a deal."
"What is it, Stern? We have a war to do, remember?"
general Stern obiously was not liking the look on Risemats face. He paced around the room. Staring at Risemat, and then said:
"Agus, I think we should stop this senseless battle and move on to other cahnges."
"What would those changes be, Bossus?"
Risemat was getting interested.
"We, join armies. You said something about an Adept hunt, yes?"
General Stern had a point.
"Yse, I did, so You are saying that we join armies to eliminate the Adept threat?"
"Precisley."
"You give a good bargain, Stern. But I'll do it."
"Very good."
Both generals stared out the window, looking onto the battlefield.
"There will finally be space for some normal people, huh, Bossus?"
Risemat said in approval.
Stern only nodded. And said,
"Yes."

Piers walked down the silent corridors of castle storum.
'I hate it. This castle, the army, all of it.'
Pier's thoughts had grown cloudy.
"You seem tense."Dustin came into the corridor and said.
"I feel lonley now."
"Because of your friend, or should I say, brother?"
"You knew?" Piers was shocked.
"Mind read. I can see and know anything."
Dustin was conclusive. He was always calm about things.
"I hate it when you don't share your thoughts."
Piers opened.
"Sometimes thoughts are things not to share, Piers.
Sometimes not is always best."
Dustin explained in a low, paved out voice.
"I need to go now."
"Of course."
Dustin moved aside and let Piers go.
"Your thoughts are cloudy. Becareful of what you think with them. They can betray you."
Dustin last said as Piers left the corridor and out into the open.

Back in Vale, Isaac and friends were hanging out, fighting monsters and talking about adventures.
"And then Dustin punches the guard right in the-"
Isaac began to say, but then a scream inturupted him.
"Let's go."
Isaac stood and went to the area of the voice.
Once they were there, a woman in green was lying down, unconsious.
Isaac looked to the side of her head, and saw a mace mark.
"She was hit with a mace, clearly."
Garet pointed out.
Then, heavy hoof pounding rose the group.
"Horses?"
Mia said.
"Possibly."
Jenna stated.
Then, when they came into view, a massive army rushed at them.
" My god!"
Garet sounded scared.
"The Adept war has begun."
Dustin said.
"Whered you come from?"
Garet asked in an anooyed tone.
"Next door."
Dustin was calm, as always,
"Let me handle this."
Dustin walked up to the soldiers and began to talk to them.
By the time he was back, he said:
"We are going to fight the elsewhere."
Then, Adepts dropped from Mt. Aleph like rocks.
"We came to help."
There had to have been at least a thousand of them.
"Fine. But don't get in my way."
Dustin ran off with the Adepts as he said it.
They went to the battlefield and the army from general Risemat said,
"Change of plans. We have been ordered to wipe out all Adepts who stand against us."
"Like you will stop us?"
Garet said in confidence.
"Don't put your mouth where it dosen't belong." Dustin said.
And then, another army came and joined with Risemats army.
"We have also gathered ourselves to defeat you."
They said.
'This, will be a problem.'
dustin thought.
As every one drew their weapons, the war began.

As Piers went to general Risemats castle, he began to wonder if he should take revenge.
'No, it's for my brother.'
He climed the walls into general Risemats room.
Risemat was staring into air, as nothing phased him.
'Perfect. Now's my chance.'
"What are you doing, Piers?"
Risemat asked.
'He can see me?'
"I have mirrors all over the room."
Risemat said in clearance, as Piers went into the room.
"I have come to take you into custody, by whatever means necesary."
Piers said.
He charged at Risemat, taking out his sword, and slashed down on him.
Rsiemat blocked the attack and cut Piers.
"Agh!"
Piers bellowed.
"You thought it would be so easy. I may be human, and you Adept, but i am still stronger."
"You may be human, I may be Adept, but I am still stronger."
Piers rose and attacked again. Risemat blocked every attack Piers threw at him, with just a simple long sword, too.
Piers turned, and tried to stab general Risemat in the side, but the general blocked that with his weapon.
He then again cut Piers in the leg.
"OWWW!!!"
"You see? I am better than you, Piers."
Piers fell to the ground, but struggled to rise.
"Why, lemurian? Why persist? Can you tell me that, Piers? Why, Piers, why,why, why?!"
Piers tried to get the words out as he stood.
"Because I want to. Your army killed my brother. I want revenge. That's two family members I lost!"
"Good, Piers. Feel your hate. Turn that into anger and join me to destroy the Adepts."
Risemat said.
"Why would I if I am an Adept?"
"Because you want to. You want to join me, Piers. It is in your heart."
Risemat explained.
"Okay. Possibly I do. But what's after that? Unlimited riches? I don't want that. I just want my family back."
"Piers, join me and you can have anything you desire."
Risemat had a hard bargain.
"Fine. As long as my family will be returned to me."
"Of course."
Risemat said in confidence.
Piers dropped his sword back into it's sheath and watched the battle go on.

"Where is Piers? We are getting pounded out here!"
Garet yelled.
"At least we took out most of the army! We don't know what is really in store for us yet!"
Isaac said. He was cutting soldiers one by one.
Dustin also was doing grand. He took down many soldiers at once.
Then, after half the soldiers were eliminated, the war machine of Risemat's army came.
It was a huge dragon.
"Doom-"
"Dragon?"
Isaac and Dustin said together.
"No. It's Fusion dragon and doom dragon together."
A fellow Adept said.
"No."
Garet was weak.
Isaac scanned the battlefield and counted at least 300 Adepts left.
"Three hundred? We had about a thousand left!"
"We won't surveve without some help."
Dustin said.
'It's over for us. The age of Adepts will be over, and the time of the Warlords, will come.'
Dustin thought in negative thoughts
"This is bad."

Chapter 6
Seaward bound

"Piers isn't here. Where could he be?"
Garet was tiring. The army was too strong. The Adepts could not hold out for long.
too many of them were being slaghutered and not many were left.
'I'd count at least 50 left.' Dustin thought.
'Fifty Adepts? That can't be good.'
Isaac counted too and had the same thought in his head.
Dustin yelled across the battlefield,
"Isaac!!! We have to take this fight to the sea! We have to get tho our Lemurian ship!"
"That's a good idea. Garet! Felix! Every one else! Let's get to our boats!"
Isaac remarked after Dustin gave the order.
Every last Adept rushed to their boats, and set to sea.
The Army saw this movement and went to their seafaring boats as well.
The battle took to the seas.
Magma balls fired everywhere as boats shot and were blown up.
"This isn't going well. Captain! Stay in your position! Tell the others to shoot magma balls in areas 5, 7, and 8!"
Dustin yelled. He was reluctant enough to win this if at all survive.
The captain turned the boat left and anchored right. He ordered the magma firemen to fire magma balls in the direction he was told to fire.
"Fire!"
The captain yelled as magma balls flew.
Enemy boats blew up as the attack was proceeding as planned.
Garet was sitting down in a corner getting rest.
'I don't blame him. We lost almost all our forces during the battle on the ground.'
Dustin thought inside his head.


Away from the battlefield in the warroom of Risemats castle, the stratigizing began.
"The adepts are too powerful, but we managed to take their forces out by half.They took to the seas and are now defeating our forces easily. My masters will not approve of the Adepts attack."
Risemat said.
"Calm dow, Risemat. The Adepts will be defeated. Here. take the plans with you."
General Arson said.
"These plans will be safe with the masters."
Risemat said as he pressed a button and a picture of a Dragon appeared. A very large dragon.
Risemat took off on a emu and went to the ship harbor.

Dustin saw something out on the field.
"It's Risemat! Captain! After him!"
Isaac said.
"Where is he going?"
Garet asked in a relaxed tone.
"To the harbor. Isaac and I will take him. It's time we had a little payback."
Dustin said in a confident voice.
Their lemurian ship turned to the harbor direction.
Risemats emu was about to reach his ship just about when Dustin and Isaac jumped out of theirs and drew their swords.
"This is your fault that this happened, you know."
Isaac said. It seemed he was tensing for battle.
"Isaac. Stay calm. You'll get killed if you are angry through this battle."
"I'll take his side, and you take his back."
Dustin said.
"It is a pity we have not crossed paths in the far past, Dustin and Isaac. You could have joined me."
Risemat said as he drew his blade. Dustin and Isaav rushed him as if they had nothing to worry. risemat was a simple plain human after all. Or so they thought.
Then, to their surprise, Risemat held a hand out and sent four fireballs that hit both boys.
Both yelled in pain as they fell to the ground.
"He's, an Adept?"
Isaac asked.
"A fire Adept, know doubt about it."
Dustin said. He got up and panted.
"I have many other surprises you don't know about."
Risemat then extended a hand out to release stun bolt.
It hit Dustin and Isaac with full force.
"Wind?"
Isaac was in doubt.
"I'm betting there is more."
Dustin was about as tired as Isaac.
"There is more, Adepts."
Risemat raised his sword and unleashed an Earthquake.
"Earth, too?!"
The earthquake hit both warriors in a hard onslaught.
"There is more, right, Risemat?"
Dustin seemed to be out of his mind.
He wanted to feel more of Risemats power, Isaac guessed.
"There will be more." Risemat seemed to enjoy this. He felt the pain and anguish inside both Dustin and Isaac.
He then unleashed a tower of water.
"Water?!"
Dustin was surprised.
No one could have all elements. It seemed that Isaac and Dustin have met their match.
"This is the final attack that will destroy both of you and your Adept friends."
Risemat seemed serious.
He really was going to kill them!
"Apocoliptic chaos!"
Risemats voice echoed through the harbor.
There was a huge earth rumbling everywhere. It even shook up the water battlefield.
"What's happening over there?"
Jenna asked. Mia also was worried about Dustin and Isaac.
"It's not good, that I know."
Felix said.
"We have driven the enemy forces back. Should we continue on?"
The captain asked.
"No. Let's get back to Vale. I expect that tis war has only just begun"
Felix said.

The fight over at the harbor continued.
The Attack of Risemat was astonishing.
The boys fell down and a tower of fire, water, wind, and earth went up on them.
The pain, it was heart crushing.
The boys that were going to challenge General Risemat were not even challenging him at all. They were being beaten at this gone very moment.
Then, the tower of psyenergy was gone.
And Isaac and Dustin were on the ground, burning in pain.
"Ugh..."
Isaac and Dustin groaned in pain.
"Pitiful. But, you are still alive. That is good. But, it is time for me to leave.
It would have been fun to actually fight you two."
Then, Risemat was gone.
The rest of of the group came and saw Dustin and Isaac struggling to get up. They helped them and Isaac opened with,
"Risemat... he is an... ugh..."
And Isaac blackened out.
So did Dustin.
Everyone went to the ship and went back to Vale.

Meanwhile, Risemat was at Prox, and he went to the top of the Mars lighthouse.
"My masters. The plans."
He said.
Two figures sat in chairs and one extended an arm.
General Risemat handed the figure the plans and the arm took it.
"You have done well in your quest. Now go."
Was all the figures said.
Risemat went back to Prox and rented an Inn room, and when he got in, he said
"This war will be won by me, whatever it takes."

Dustin was lying in bed. He was exhausted. He was badly injured and he needed longer rest.
'How could the General be an Adept? His vitals had clearly been a regular, non-psyenergy wielding person.'
Dustin was worried. He felt that the war they were fighting could not be won.
"Are you okay?"
Mia came in and asked Dustin.
She looked worried, as if someone died or something.
'What is it she wants?'
"I'm fine. Just need a little more energy so I can get back out-"
Dustin began to say, but Mia interupted him.
"You are not getting back out there! I thought that I would lose you that time! Don't you even care about me? Your life, even? I thought you were dead."
Mia was in tears. She had thought about Dustin during the battle and was thinking about him all the time.
"I, of course I care, Mia."
"Than why don't you really show me how?!"
Mia seemed enraged.
"What do you mean...?"
"Show me that you really care! Ever since we married, we had decided on children! And how long has it been?"
"A year..."
Dustin said.
"Exactly."
Mia settled down now.
"Mia. This is not the time. We are in war right now. We can settle on this later."
"You promise?"
Mia asked.
"..... Yeah."
Dustin was happy, for the moment.
Mia went over to him, bent down, and kissed him lightly on the lips.
"Rest up, now." She said as she left the room.
'Easy for you to say. My back hurts and every time I move, I feel a sharp pain.'
Dustin closed his eyes, and slept.


General Risemat was in his quarters, drinking herbal tea.
'I haven't drank this since my thirties. I guess i should enjoy it.'
General Risemat thought.
Then, a figure went into the room.
"What is it, Briggs?"
Risemat asked.
"Well, another has volunteered to join us."
"And who would that be?"
"Umm, a person named Tycho. Colonel Tycho. He is from the Adept army."
"Tycho? Joining us? Why?"
Risemat asked.
"He says he wants to join the winning side."
Briggs said.
"I have heard of this man. He is a renowned Adept, for fighting in the battle. It was he who turned the tides of the war."
Risemat said. he guestured for Briggs to bring in Tycho.
Tycho came in and began to talk.
"Hello, General Risemat. I have come to join your campaign."
Tycho said.
"Why have you decided to?"
"Because I wish to be on the winning side. I can see your army is loads sytronger than the Adepts."
Tycho said.
"That may be true. We have lessened their numbers."
Briggs said.
"Fine. You can stay. But, if you dare try to betray us, i will have you dead before you can say, Pyroclasm."
Risemat said.
"I assure you. That I wll not fail you." Tycho said.


Back in Vale, the remaining Adepts begin their stratigizing.
Some like Linear, PDM, Mystic warrior, ForteGX, and others discuss the battle plan.
"The enemy has lessened our numbers, but we can still retaliate. We have to begin with a frontal attack. Forte has the plan."
Linear said.
d here they are. Three ships shall cross the inland to Valasco, and take out the enemy outposts there. While my team shall go in and begin the attack."
ForteGX said.
"So, what you are saying is that we strike from within?"
Mystic warrior said.
"Exactly. Remember, this is a fight for our freedom, not for vengeance."
"But, we didn't even want to be a part of this war."
Garet said.
"It may be, but we had to do what we had to do."
Linear opened up.
PDM came in and said,
"I am ready to take on the enemy. I will lead the ships to victory."
"Okay, fine. Just don't make any mistakes. One could mean the extinction of us."
Linear said.
Another Adept, Lightningstar, was volunteering.
"I will also lead the ships. I will see to it that we don't die."
"Okay. If that is all the volunteers, we shall continue onto the attack."
The Adepts were prepared for the worst, most were fearless, and some were afraid. But that would not stop them from saving themselves.
In the house of Isaac, the two boys that were weakened in battle were almost ready to get back up.
"I think that I'm ready to get up, now."
Isaac said.
He struggled, and then when he felt the energy, he got up.
'Success! Now let's see if Dustin is up yet.'
Isaac thought.
He went to Dustin's room and saw that he was up, and he was readiying his things.
"I see that you are reluctant to get back at Risemat."
Isaac said.
"I guess I am reluctant. I can't get over the idea that Risemat is an Adept."
Dustin said.
"Well, come on. The others are waiting."
Dustin said.
They both went outside and saw the fifty remaining Adepts waiting.
"You guys ready? We are ready for the next phase of battle."
ForteGX said.
"Yeah. We feel good. What now?"
Dustin asked.
"We have a chance to do a frontal attack in the city of Volasko."
Linear said.
"Volasko. I hate that olace. Not your ideal place for a vacation."
Dustin said as if it was a joke.
Isaac shuddered and asked,
"So, who's going to get to go with Forte?"
Isaac said.
"Hmmm, you, Dustin, Linear, and Mystic warrior."
Forte said. Everyone was not surprised.
They were all good warriors, but what if Risemat could be there?
If he was, there would be loads of trouble.
"Um, Forte. What if Risemat will be there?"
Isaac asked.
"Simple. We just defeat him."
Mystic warrior said.
"That's not it. It won't be easy. Isaac and I figured out... that Risemat... is an Adept."
Dustin said.
The camp was as silent as night.
No one spoke.
Forte wanted the silence broken.
"And how did you know this?"
Forte asked.
"We fought him. He has the power of all the elements, and he has a devestating attack called Apoctoliptic terror. That is the attack that beat us."
Isaac said in a silenced voice.
The camp was silenced.
Linear broke out and said,
"So, now we know that Risemat is truly an Adept. What will we do now?"
She said.
"We need more help. There are only 50 of us and we will probably fail our attack."
Mystic warrior said.
"I think I know what we can do for help."
Mia said.
"And what would that be?"
Forte asked in a delighted voice.
Forte trembled and said,
"From the Proxians."
The camp was silent once again.
"How could we get their help? We killed Saturos and Menardi."
Garet said.
"Felix can help."
Isaac proc;aimed. He seemed happy about the idea.
Felix came out and said,
"Fine. I'll get the Proxians."
