The site is finally back online after being down for almost 32 hours. There was an issue with a script used on a hostee of GSS which allowed a malicious visitor to load a Trojan on the server, so my account was suspended. However the Trojan was removed, and the script rewritten to be more secure, and so things should be fine again.

If you haven't already, please read the previous news post about GSW.

Good job Max. I was wondering what happened to this.

I think something similar happened, so I think I already know what you mean if you didn't even put this up. (Not)

Anyways...great that the site is back up.

Trojan... Did it affect the other visitors when they came to view GSS?

Had me nervous for awhile there, though.

Great job on the forums but uh...I can't view the site...The cpanel error page is always there...

Good to see the forums back, I was wondering why your account had been suspended, who was the hostee who loaded this "trojan", and what is a trojan?

THe hostee didn't load the Trojan, a weakness in a script of theirs allowed a malicious user to use it to load the Trojan on the server. Anyhow, it doesn't matter anymore and has been taken care of, I just wanted to let people know what had happened.

Oh ok, ever find out who the user was? Or is that virtually impossibly? What's Trojan by the way.

Meh I didn't even notice that the site was down(to busy with school and all) Nice to know everything is back to normal.

A trojan is a Trojan Horse, a type of virus that infects your computer and then uses your computer to send out the virus or other things. Basically, it's like hacking into your computer, but instead of seeing information, they're sending stuff in your name. I got one of those yesterday... I wonder if they were related...
