Ic! Real Emotions is really nice. I like it too. I listen to the Japanese version though, cause I got a free CD sent to moi from Japan! YAY! But it's a really addictive song.. once you listen to it it's stuck there... "... what can I do for you?..." heh... really awesome. you should try listening to 1000 words also.

really?! well ya, your right.. but it's just too short for me. I mean I KNOW you've played FFX and the length was just about perfect. but you only get like five chapters on FFX-2... though it's so addictive I've played it 3.5 times ;)
Hmm, to make this more intresting... to the ones that HAVE played it, what dess-sphere is your favorite? I like the Lady Luck dress-sphere, I'd say it's really "awesomeness". heh. I use it to double my EXP btw, AND I can make myself RICH!

I have Mascot dressphere (aswell as all the others), The End garment grid, 2 Iron Duke and 100% story completion in 2 runs through.

I'm prepared to play an RPG as long as necessary in order to achieve results.
I have huge files on FF7,FF8,FF9,FF10,FF10-2,Star Ocean 2,Breath of fire 1+4,Golden Sun 1+2,Suikoden 1+2,Lost Kingdoms 2, Pokemon blue, red, yellow and silver, Mario and Luigi superstar saga and Diablo 2. It's safe to say RPGs are my fortè.
I will admit that the storyline on x-2 is truly diabolical.

I hope you weren't expecting the perfect ending to be any good, it's a disgrace when you consider how much effort is involved, i won't spoil it, but it's not even in CG so you can't rewatch it in Luca.

don't double post please.
i know it's not CG and i heard it was short, i'm trying to beat Trema right now so what i mean was that once i beat him, i'll automatically get the 1%. ^^

I play final fantasy games for the storyline, as far as i'm concerned in most games the story is there to complement the gameplay, however in final fantasy games it's the gameplay which is there to complement the storyline. I loved the depth of the story in Final Fantasy 10 (can u tell im an avid book reader yet) and the one thing I hate about a storyline, is it's ending as i dont want them to end, the best thing square ever did is bring out a sequel to a final fantasy game, the storyline of X-2 though slightly incoherent due to the method of unlocking being so spasmodic with the ability of your gameplay, was perfectly understandable however as i was so immersed in the storyline on my first run through, i neglected to do alot of the % complete stuff and so am having to go through it all over again. I've been able to unlock the good tidus&yuna ending and find it hilarious. Much better than some silly boat that everybody's "sailing" in. Trust me for any others just starting the game out there, do the game properly first time, otherwise you'll end it on a downer.

Even got the mascot dressphere which is so much fun to use xD XD
Nega/Black elemantal is so annoying, 3 times I challenged him and 3 times he used ultima first round x__x;;
I like the game, I believe it enhances FFX in some way. Although at some points the game is terrible, the gameplay as in rpg battles is brilliant and fast paced, I have difficulties playing X-2 after playing IX for a while because of the difference of speed.
--
Maniac, you need to press X (read bash X) once you are alone in the farplane depths at the end of chapter three. Also talk to meachen a lot .... and chapter 5 when you see bahamut's fayth just select yes ^^;

How did you manage to die from Ultima if you have Mascot?
It has really high magic defense AND auto-shell, surely if have 100% complete you'll have one Iron Duke which will give 255 magic defense and ultima then does around 400 damage. I'm currently on my third run trying to get the remaining accessories and garment grids, it's the bloody gunner's gauntlet that's stopping me, it's good fun anyway especially with Mascot and no worries about the stroy or triggering certain events.

Ive also got FFX and yes, FFX beats FFX-2, even though I didn't really get too far of X-2 (I spent too much time talking to everyone :lol:*), I'd say that its a good game, but SE did take a big risk by changing the system.
The RTB are welcome back and the levelling system is also appreciated. Note that the game is not girly, it just wanted to focus the game on Yuna and to do that they came up with the dress spheres. Also, I like the mission based style compared to the linear pilgrimage (I got up to the Ice temple when I decided that i'd restart and use the advanced sphere grid).
Rikku is my favourite cause as far as her personality goes, I am a male match (check out the j00 section) and also cause I share her views (I actually used disasteriffic as a word before playing the game ^_^*)
Also, go to www.ffspirit.net for the soundtrack and some FMV's.

very good song. you might want download oceans of love too. also good song. but anyway, I think X-2 isn't that good. look at the intro, it's FF for sake, not some Idols show. I haven't played it all, but does Tidus enters X-2 too?

Note: All versions are the United States releases unless otherwise stated (that means Japan :D)
Final Fantasy I- Originally for WonderSwan Color and NES, released in the United States in July 1990- later also released as a part of Final Fantasy Origins of the PSone in Spring of last year-
a GBA remake, along with Final Fantasy II (more on that later) is either already out in Japan, is dyingly close to being released- a North American release is set for fall of this year.
Also, the WonderSwan Color version will be available on Japanese cell phones later this year- sweetness for them -_- meh for the rest of us :mellow:
Final Fantasy II- known in Japan as Final Fantasy IV Easy Version- for the SNES, later remade as Final Fantasy IV (U.S.) for the Psone.
Final Fantasy II- The “Real” Version- Psone- If you are confused, then it is to be understood. The United States has experienced two Final Fantasy II games- this is the one that corresponds to Japan’s Final Fantasy II, hence the “real one” (this is different then the previous one, the one known in Japan as Final Fantasy IV Easy). This became available later for the Psone as a part of FF origins- this is the title that will be released with Final Fantasy I for GBA
Final Fantasy III- for the SNES, released October 1994, nothing much except this introduced Limit Breaks into the series- the Japanese version is FFVI, later remade and re-released in the United States for the Psone as also FFVI.
Final Fantasy III- Japanese version for the Famicon (SNES), the only FF game yet to be released in the U.S. and it’s not coming out soon, so blargh…
Final Fantasy IV- part of Final Fantasy Chronicles, known as FF IV- Hard Version, in Japan. FFIV is essentially the Final Fantasy II (known in Japan as FFIV- Easy) originally for the SNES.
Final Fantasy V- Psone, part of Final Fantasy Anthology… nothing much to say here, but just to make sure… ahh, sorry…
Final Fantasy VI- Psone, released October 1999, also as a part of FFAnthology- basically a remake of the U.S. Final Fantasy III for the SNES.
Final Fantasy VII- yayz, Sephiroth =D for those of you not aware, this game will feature a new CG-movie sequel called Final Fantasy VII- Advent Children, for the PSP (darned PSP * grumbles *… sorry, excuse the language… meh)… there is also a prequel being made for Japanese Cell phones called “FFVII- Before Crisis”, which will also include multi-player. Released for Psone/PC
Final Fantasy VIII- also for Psone/PC, this edition offered “PocketStation” support for new items, etc. within the game, but the PocketStation was never released in North America, so… arrghy arrgh arrgh o.o
Final Fantasy IX- the last to appear on the Psone, a return to the “classic RPG setting” of Fairytale stories. Famed character designer for FFI through FFVI, Yo****aka Amano, returns.
Sorry if I made any errors… but I hope it’ll help and prove to be at least somewhat interesting… err, sorry…
*whew* :)

To be honest, I haven’t played all of them… Just I-III (II being the “easy” version :)), I started to, though I couldn’t complete, FF Chronicles (IV) and I’m currently playing VII. The thing to note is that many of the Final Fantasy are remakes (e.g. III and VI) so yeah…
Plus, I’ve played them * so long * ago that I can’t really remember much about them.
Also, I included VIII and IX as “extra”- the purpose was simply to show old FF games, from the beginning…
Err, I hope it helped =D

Talk about anything FF!
I'm currently finishing off files from 7 to 10-2.
My 7 party is leveling up off Magic Pots
My 8 party is maxing it's stats with stat up items
My 9 party is finishing off the card game
My 10 party is getting max stats to fight the harder dark aeons
My 10-2 party is on it's third run for a third iron duke.
My Selkie on Chronicles is collecting artfefacts before killing the end boss.
I haven't played Tactics, but from i've seen it looks slow and boring.

Why Thundaga?
The best junctioning magic is
HP=Flare
Strength=Meteor
Vitality=Meltdown
Magic=Triple
Spirit=Full-Life
Speed=Haste
Evade=Tornado
Hit=Double
Luck=Aura
btw ultima is the best in everything except speed, hit and evade which triple is, just ultima in elemental defense protects against everything.

I slaughtered all the original monsters in the battle arena yesterday, Neslug was the only remotely tough one, need to get luck to max-super tedious!
i use Tidus, Auron and Yuna, although i'm doing Rikku (entirely because of Godhand).
on 10-2 i use 3 mascots when killing anything hard e.g. Chac, Trema, Paragon etc.
but when i'm playing for fun 3 warriors are good hack! hack! hack! gunner and gun mage are fun too

Personally, I think it would go great on GBA, Reasons:
1)It wouldn't be a big game anyway
2)I think the GBA could handle the graphics, although, they wont be spectacular
3)It would be a great game to play in the car/ in a plane
4)The interface of the GBA (controls) would be ideal
IE: A = confirm shot/pass/tackle etc (general confirming things)
B = Go back a menu
R = increase adreneline |__ (FFX-2 style)
L = decrease adreneline |
Besides being the FFX-2 style, I think it would rock!
sorry about double posting

I'm looking foward to the gba FFs aswel, they improving the graphics and things aren't they

TIP: for easy money, fight Kottos 2 times in the monster arena (Recieve 40 healing springs upon each victory) buy a "tetra" whatever armor from wantz in the woods, and costomise it with "auto-regen" only. -it should still have three empty spots. sell this for 225000 i think (more than 200 thou anyway) for a nice profit. Do this repeatedly for big bucks $$$. I did this and saved up enough for 30 wings off Malboro's (540000 for each bribe, getting 2 at a time) now my kimahri has break HP limit, Ribbin and two empty slots, backed up by 25000 HP also... but I like Auron the best and I aint savin up that much again!

i've already got armor for Yuna, Tidus and Auron my party.
Each has Break HP Limit, Ribbon, Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect.
Rikku and Wakka have their armor to, even kimahri has ribbon and 3 spare slots.
Yojimbo's dead now anyway and Penance isn't particularly tough, i just need Rikku's stats max and use her overdrive to heal. also need 3 tonberries before i can fight Nemesis.
My main party has these stats
HP=64,000
MP=999
Strength=255
Defence=255
Magic=255
Magic Defence255
Agility=255
Luck=140
Evasion=255

What were your favourite moments in FFX? Mine has always been both the
Operation Mi'ihen and the assault on Bevelle (That was like the best, ever!).
Um, this is an official topic now, so I think it's safe to talk about the other games now.

Hey DTWA where have you been, what has happened to your forums, Spira Fantasy. My fav part in FFX is the assult on Bevelle as I love the music and scene.

In FFX-2, my favourite bit was the "good ending" scene. It was great, I won't go into details as some have still yet to get it. The "1000 words" song/FMV was BRILLIANT! I loved it. Usually I don't like that sort of music, but I downloaded that song ASAP! It is truely a masterpeice.

I am looking into creating another one, though.
Is 1000 words one of those sad ones, and does it contain any spoilers? I haven't gotten that far into the game yet.

Godammit, you rule. The best item in FFX-2 is the ribbon. Argh.
Its too bad that they didn't leave room for an FFX-3. *sigh*

It cost around £30 to buy and it cost £5 per month which isn't that much considering it's such a good game.

That I doubt. I don't have any real hope for XII. But that's only because the main character looks like a pre-pubescent Michael Jackson. The Viera people and the other playable characters look fine. Regardless, it reminds me a little too much of FFIX, and I didn't like IX very much at all.
So I'm still undecided about whether or not I'm going to get it. But I wouldn't count on it.

Besides, some people just say that, is either because they never played the game before, or just because they think it's bad because in what the cover looks like...
The games are really good in my opinion.

Im stuck with a crappy burnt one from bali. *cries*
Just curious: Is Trema really as hard as he is made out to be? Because Im going after him!

YOU MUST USE A SOUL SPRING ON TREMA AT THE START OF THE BATTLE.
he will now not be able to use demi, flare and ultima. he can still use Meteor and will after taking 500,000 damage, then again after 750,000. If you damage him too quickly he was cast them one after another and your dead. He has 999,999 HP and you have to fight Paragon immediately before him.
However if your party is like mine that is
Yuna-Mascot-The End-Iron Duke-Key to Sucess
Rikku-Gunner-Highroad winds-Cat Nip-Speed Bracer
Paine-Mascot-The End-Iron Duke-Champion Belt/Regal crown
i've just killed Chac on my third run and the last 20 floors won't be a problem either-Rikku needs an Iron Duke.
my stratagey manipulate the atb and maims enemys as a result.
Yuna changes dress sphere
Paine changes dress sphere
Yuna changes again
Paine changes again
pass through all gates on the end
use Finale with both characters on unfortunate foe
Note: whilst changing dressspheres the enemies atb freezes
Finale does 99,999 a hit
enemies die
Note2: to get the end you need to see every fiend in oversoul
that's enough bragging
here's something i discovered yesterday and is incredibly useful.
QUADRUPLE GIL AND ITEMS
Acessories needed:Key to Success
Dress spheres needed:Lady Luck
Abilites need:Double Items(Lady Luck), Gillionaire (Lady Luck), Double All (KTS)
Lady lucks abilitys give double exp. gil and items, double all then doubles this (i'm unsure about the exp as i have them with different characters) so you get 4x gil and items. Lets put that in perspective, 1 Volcan drops 24 Fire Gems!
Note: to get Key to Success, you to let the guado be maimed by the Ronso, it's in a chest in Tobli productions in Guadosulam in chapter 5.

Note... Lady luck's "four dice" is good for Cat nip also, Im not sure which is better, but I beat Angra Mainyu in 4 rounds this way... Bua ha ha.
Progress report: Im up to Lv forty and Pwning it. *SPOILER* Jyscal was hard though. i had to use Charon on him, lol, died in one hit.... *maniacal laugh*

to get over soul quickly get something in oversoul e.g. a dog, run away and do not kill it! the next dog you fight will also be oversoul, rinse and repeat until the entire species is done, if you get the end this way you can't use Finale on your current run through.
Anyway i'm in Via Infinito for the forth time, on floor 60 and about lvl 80.

The story finishes in 10-2, that doesn't make any good
especially when you've played through 4 times and the stupid computer is soadamant that you'll enjoy some stupid cutscene, that you can't skip it.
