As the title of this news post suggests, I'm going to be taking a temporary leave of absence. My life has become extremely busy lately between schoolwork, the robotics team, and GSW. I'll continue to check the forums once or twice a day, but I'm not going to be working on the site or things of that nature. After February 22 (the day my team's robot is shipped) I will regain much free time until baseball starts in March. In the meantime, AveneR is working on GSW, and Nick and the crew will be keeping their eyes on the forums. Unless something major happens, don't expect any more updates for another week or two.

On a semi-related note, I am looking to "hire" (no payment involved, sorry) another staffer, specifically for the position of assistant webmaster. To qualify you have to be proficient in HTML (this is the biggest requirement) and have free time in the next few weeks to help me do some major work on the site content and moving everything over to a new backend. If you are interested, please do not post in the comments here, but instead PM or email me with your name, IM contact (if you have one), and links to some of your work. If you don't have any sites or work to show, then don't even bother, as I need to see some practical experience. Thanks in advance to any applicants.

ah, well I've worked with a site before, and I wasn't bad at HTML or stuff, I can help with the site, but I'm probably not THAT good at managing websites. My dad's a comp programmer, so I know HTML and some other codes because of that. But, I dont mind whether you choose me or not. Anyway, enjoy your break, and work your hardest. Too bad my site was hacked a year ago. :P

First of all, if you hire Agatio, there's no telling what'd he do to me in the prospect (if he becomes an admin on GSSF), and you guys probably won't see me for an eternity, or he'll make me look bad by editing my new posts on the spot (but I'm not even pointing my finger at him).

But if I look at it the other way, it's probably just for the website (in which he's been begging for this whole time). So, if it's just that, let him have it. :(

1. I would never, ever sink to your pathetic level by editing posts, and polls, never.
2. I doublt I'll become a moderator, let alone an admin, I have too much of a history of rule breaking etc. on these forums.
3. And don't you dare try and influence Max's decisions, it's 100% up to him who becomes a moderator and who doesn't. Not you in the slightest.

Oh...my...gosh! Silo, that was just plain rude. Agatio may have been a bit bad in the past, but that doesn't mean that he'll abuse his Mod/admin powers if he ever becomes one, your quite paranoid. :lol: I agree with Agatio on this. (Oh yeah, if I sound like a Mod/Admin, I don't intend to.)

And as I said earlier, I do have quite a bit of HTML knowledge, and I have PLENTY of free time in my hands, so maybe you would like me as a staffer, though I dont know PHP that well O_o. However, I won't get mad or anything if I'm not chosen, its your choice.. ;) I'll give further details via PM

I would like to volenteer to help, but the only stuff that I can show you is some random PHP scripts I've done, my forum (which I didn't even code all by myself, just added lots of stuff to it), and my Firefox extensions. So, good luck with finding someone!
