Hey everyone, it's been awhile since my last post. As most of you have probably noticed, I haven't been on the forums much lately, as I've been busy with school and my new site. Those of you who know me on MSN have seen the URL, but please do not post it here. PLEASE don't post it. I'd like to start over on a new site and not have the whole GSSF community move to my new site forums. I doubt many of you have played the game anyways, so it's not a big deal.

Anyhow, GSW development is in hibernation as AveneR works on his real world project. The forum has suffered the loss of many veterans over the past two months, and they have really changed. I'm holding out to hear the news at E3 before making any decisions about the future of this site though. As I've told people in the past, as long as you all keep coming here I'll keep the site up.

For those of you who noticed, Fury is in the process of upgrading GS Sprites to a gallery script so we can manage it more easily. However, we hit some snags, and so it'll be a few more days probably before it launches.

I'm looking to hire a staffer for GSS to kick some life back into it. I'd like someone with some HTML experience if at all possible, but just an ideas guy/gal would be appreciated at this point.

Well I hope E3 2k5 will be releasing some great news for us. As for a new Staffer, I might be of use.

Congrats on the new site, I checked on it a couple of days back, looks pretty proffesional  . As for a staffer, no help from me, except donating Shining SOul 1 and 2 content thats HTML formatted if you want it.

I can totally see where he is coming from. If I started a new site, that is as proffesional in management and content as his, I would not want a bunch of hyperactive 13 year olds registering simply because they knew me from a previous site I ran.

Agatio, not all the "bunch of 13-year old kids" join because they know the owner. some of them are really trying to act mature, try to act older then they are. and I think that equils them to many older members from about 20 years, who act less mature.

                          back to topic;
I haven't visited your site Max, but since I don't play alot of games lately, I think you didn't want me there anyway =).
I hope your site will become as big as GSSF, even bigger and more populair, since you really have the right for that.

furthermore, although lots of veterans left, we also gained some. and as she just presented she was back, to "help" us here a bit, Sheba is back in action. and Im sure everybody agrees with me that she counts for 10. ^^

take your time on GSW, we will wait as long as it will take you. as I have experience with games which were released too early.. very buggy I can tell you.

                          Keep up the good work,

This Site is not doomed not if someone can help Max bring it back, we can do it, it's just up to the person,We just need more things to get people back, sure GSW and info on golden sun and the sprites worked but it needs that something that even if GSSF is going to close, it will be remembered for that one special reason(Reasons)

It doesnt need to be brilliant to be appreciated. Some of you young new members need to learn to appreciate it no matter what you think of it. This is my first post in quite a long time, I return every now and then. The good old days back in January 2004 was the top point of this forum, in my opinion. Small communities are best, and my assumption is that that is part of the reason why Max is making a new site. Also the fact that nothing new is coming on golden sun if E3 fails to produce anything, but camelot has no current projects that are known (to the best of my knowledge), so there is a glimmer of hope. I can't really think of anything else to say, my words of wisdom have come to a halt. See you people the next time I post.

I would say more January to May-ish. And yes, small communities are better than huge bustling forums.

I'm always here. I may talk to Max about giving me site FTP access so I can continue to upload music, games, and guides if needed.

However, for the time being, I don't see a problem.

Except there hasn't been a content update for around 12 months. There was the change from IPB 1.3 to IPB 2.0, and the design change, but the actual content update has been GSW related, not GSS. Also, another problem is the amount of members leaving, which will lead to the decline of the forums, and the site.

I give you one big question, Is the fact that this place is declining the fact that no more GS games have been brought in a period of time. because that's, it thzere is no forum about Golden Sun that isn't, quite well, declining, it's not just here, it's everywhere, and if E3 comes out bad, then we won't be seeing this place liven up any time soon. This place is declining

and for Professional sites, I must agree I don't want other people breathing down my neck when I am making a new website, so yes, Max has all the right to keep it a secret.

I doubt that; there are still alot of GS fans out there, even if there aren't so much here anymore. You never know when they may come online and visit GSS or register at GSSF. Personallly, I think its OK Max is starting a new website, I just don't want him to delete GSS or GSSF (which I don't think he'll do, hopefully)

And when will you realise that GS is an abandoned series. The same here is happening with pretty much every golden sun site. No content updates because everything has been covered. No activity in GS boards because everything has been discussed to death.

I don't consider GS an abondoned series per se, more just on pause until we find out what'll become of it. ;)

I think Camelot will make some form of sequel to it eventually. :D Look at Metroid... it was put on pause for a loong time, but just look at how many recent titles there are now! But let's not turn this into another GS3 topic...

Good luck on that new site Max. ;)

Metroid died because the creator died in a car accident (got out of his car to fix a tyre i think, and got hit by another car >_<).
Golden Sun, however, is entirely self contained. There is little room for a new game. metroid is one of those titles that you can pick up and do whatever you want with. Golden Sun was entirely plot based, and i think they will choose to create an entirely new world rather than attempt to modify the GS world for a sequal (and then just screw it up anyway).
