It's been awhile, so I figured I owed you all a news post. School has been occupying most of my time, and anything remaining time is going towards my other site which is pretty time intensive at this stage in its life.

Anyhow, coming up in one week is the annual E3 expo. For those of you who don't know, E3 is one of the largest game conventions in the world. All the major game developers like Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and tons of others are going to be showcasing their latest and greatest games, as well as games coming in the near future. The three console manufacturers are expected to make announcements regarding their "next-gen" consoles, so all eyes will be toward the expo next week. In addition, Camelot has said that they will be announcing their next game at E3, so we can all hope and pray that it is related to the Golden Sun series. If it is not though, then I think chances are pretty good that we won't be seeing another game in our beloved series anytime soon, as Camelot will have moved on.

For those who are not aware and may be interested, tomorrow night on MTV, Microsoft will be showcasing it's new console, rumored to be called the "Xbox 360." For more information, check out www.mtv.com.

I'm really not interested in the xbox 360, I'm more interested in the PS3 and the Nintendo Revolution.

Ahhh, I love the E3 conventions. Lets all hope GS will make break through. Anyways, I can't wait to see what the Xbox section and the GC section has to offer us. Of course PS2 will take it all but I have my hopes for the underdogs.

I doubt Camelot's game is a Golden Sun one, but who knows? Perhaps they have just been keeping the next GS as a secret to announce at E3 (if there is another game in the series)

I don't really care much for the new Xbox coming out. I'm more anxious for what Nintendo and Sony has in store for us. But let's hope that the new game Camelot is showing will indeed be another GS.

Heh, well I'm interested more on the systems rather tahn the games, though I do have my hopes on Golden Sun 3 and Zelda GCN. I bet graphics will be improved by a longshot for those systems.

Anyway, the only thing I really want to see is if the new Camelot RPG is GS-related or not (it doesn't have to be titled GS or even take place in the same land with a similar story, it could still be counted as form of a GS game :)). If it isn't, I wouldn't be surprised. And if that's the case they're probably just holding it off till later. I can't see why they'd abandon it forever; they made a whole lot of money off GS.

I agree with WD at the fact about Camelot making money off GS. If a game makes loads, why would you stop producing them?

If you took the time to fully read my post, you would have seen that E3 isn't until next week. What was shown tonight was simply the unveiling of the new Xbox, dubbed the Xbox 360. The show was pretty lame in my opinion, so you didn't much. You can go find out more from a trillion websites, just do a google search.

you can sure google it and find some stuff out...but google will get you a LOT of sites that are just horsecrap...i tried searching info on all the new consoles, and, my god, did i find some freaky stuff...these guys are way out of their minds...they give you computer generated pictures of what their "sources" (which are totally unknow to the public), have assured is "exactly what the xbox2/ps3/revolution looks like"...you should definitely check them out...

E3 stands for the Electronic Entertainment Exposition, an annual trade show for the video game industry that traditionally takes place in Los Angles. The event lasts for roughly seven days, with the first half of the show dedicated to industry seminars, and the second half of the show is dedicated to the display of upcoming industry products. As the industries largest trade event, E3 is often used by companies to introduce products. Both the Xbox and the Nintendo GameCube first made appearances at an E3 event.

Well All we can do is hope for now, since E3 will be the big showoff of the the RPG that Camelot is making, and as has been said, if it isn't GS3, then I fear these forums won't last another year. So now that E3 has arrived, all we have to do is sit back and wait. I've tried searching the 'net for any news for Golden Sun in E3, but nothing. My search for "Camelot" also turned out rather futile, so it may just be my lack of googling skills.

Software for upcoming games isn't going to be shown off until tomorrow or Thursday, as Nintendo, Sony, and MS have displayed their main products now. Nintendo is still keeping most of its important Revolution info under wraps though, so we'll be left to wonder exactly what they'll be doing until tomorrow or a later conference.

I'm still wondering what specific specs will be and what is supposed to be the revolutionary development (I'm shooting for touch/voice based stuff, possibly with the controller).

All will have info on E3. E3 Insider will have more media content and possibly more information faster, but all of the sites are generally going to have the same info at the same time. It's just a matter of preference.

I doubt Camelot will even suggest that there working on a new GS game. I have been looking for any sign of a GS game coming for E3 with no luck. Lets hope one does come out for any system. I've also sen some games that caught my eye right away. Can't wait for E3.

If Camelot is making a new RPG, simply expect a new RPG - not a GS. They'll probably develop a system that works similarly though.

I couldn't find ANYTHING on a Camelot RPG. I dunno, I checked Nintendo's site too but there's nothing... maybe they were a no-show, I dunno.

The pessimistic answer would be that we should just give up and hold a funeral for this forum as well as the Golden Sun series.

The optimistic answer is that we can hope that some newbies will come and try to invigorate this place and we'll have hope that GS isn't dying. Or, blindly hope for a secret addition.

I think it's blaitantly obvious there won't be a Golden Sun 3, and I've been saying the same thing now for close to a year. But that's no reason to close anything. People will continue to use the site for information on the first 2 games, and the forums aren't going THAT bad.

:D Far out, even after the time I have been gone we are still talking about there being a GS3 coming to our thumbs in the future. I don't remember my opinon ealier, but I do remember me saying that someone should buy the rights and create it. All I can say now, I highly doubt there will be a GS3, but they said that about the world being round so I guess anything is possible.

I agree with Agatio on this, the forums arn't that bad and I have found myself come back because of this. So don't dispair, while other games appear the GS series is still on top of my list and it will continue to reign above the crappy copies of this awsome RPG :rolleyes: :P

That's odd though. Nintendo at E3 did actualy say that they were going to release a new RPG, but they didn't even do that, much less a GS3.

I think Nintendo might still have something up their sleave. Though it may not be a GS3, some RPG should be coming out. The only new Rpg that caught my attention was the new FE that came out.
