What if: We're allowed to swear BUT, nothing beyond "hell" and "damn". :D?
We have this rule at another forum I go to and, it is imposed cause the forum is supposed to be PG. Our rules also say that if you're going to swear beyond that in your topic, the topic title must have a warning. o.o;

But if this isn't already so, I have to agree.

ie.
YOU'RE A DAMNED LOSER! GO TO HELL!
And the reason why swearing in topics, even with warnings is I don't see the topic. All conversation is better without swearing; there is no time where swearing enhances a topic for discussion.

lol, wow... most young kids these days already know enough swear words to fill your laundry basket.

I've heard of kids saying the f-word, and they're only 10 or 12 (despite not knowing it's true meaning), as well as other obscenities. And you see it enough when gaming online. Some guy starts cussing, and he's really just some 11 year old.

Let's say that no one caring about [insert] was really bugging you... I bet that:
"No one really gives a damn about [insert]"
...instead of...
"No one really cares about [insert]"
...is more convincing, don't you thing? =) You could say "this is really bugging me" but I think it's better to really express your emotions as long as it doesn't get out of hand.
Anyway, yeah. Hell and damn should be the only swears.

1. The Pope, he's dead so we can cross him out of this equasion.
2. Someone who is going to hell will find that offensive since you're making a mockery of what may be his future home for the rest of eternity.
To be honest only 5% of youngsters don't know swear words, and those are most likely the kids who have never left their home because their parents have always hired private teachers and whatnot just to keep them away form the "outer world".
Let's be honest guys, my 6 year old cousin told me I can suck his **** when I yelled at him to get out of my room. You have to be 13 or over to post here, who here can proudly say that at the age of 13 or over they don't know any swear words and they never swear and bla bla? We all swear sometime or another, I think swearing should be against the rules because people will abuse it if it was allowed, but I also think moderators should lighten up about it and not deal with it so harshly.
I don't want to get warned just because I said F**k, anyone over 13 knows the word F**k, infact there are some 13 year olds who claim they have even F**ked, so why get touchy over it? It's a common fact.

However, going back on topic, no profanity in anyway should be allowed, even if a warning is placed in a topic. And no, the two words Sheba mentioned shouldn't be allowed either.
Of course, that is simply my own opinion.

More so the younger ones. They know it has negative connotations, but I'm not quite sure if they know what it's original definition is :P (ya know, sex stuff)

personally i dont think "damn" and "hell" should be taken too seriously unless it's directed at somone... or used to put someone down.
"go to hell" X
"damn, it was as hot as hell today" O
