I think the swear filter could do with a go-over.

First of all, we shouldn't filter the word "g-a-y" because it can be use din ways other than insulting people, and if we have another sexuality thread, it's going to be a bit wierd with "Anubis" popping up all over the place. And also, rather than the humerous filters, as good as they are, we should use something along the lines of:

f**k
s**t
p**s
d**k
c**t

etc. etc.

As it will still block the words, but without replacing them with words that make a post like retarded (as funny as that us :agitated: ).

I agree with removing g-a-y from the filter, but we should keep the humorous ones. They make a fool out of the swearer, which works better than just giving them a warn. :agitated: It's like adding insult to injury, know what I mean?

Well I agree with the Swear Filter but only for bad swear words like f**k. shiz isn't really a swear word I think...

using ****s is a good idea, you can still figure out what they're syaing without insulting them for example, **** could anything on Agatio's list. I may swear frequently , but i only use f**k and s**t usually, calling some genetalia is pretty stupid really.

Still a better swear filter is needed. Some words are gotta be censored like f**k. But I think shiz isnt a swear word really. We dont shout "shiz YOU!" to someone we dont like. And other words like sexual body parts should be censored.

As much as i'm tempted to use swear words at some people ( you don't want to see me angry :rolleyes: ) I try to control myself. Anyway, I agree with DK and I think that "certain" body parts should be censored.

Honestly, what's the point of censoring them? If it's used inappropriately just get a mod on it, but if it's part of the discussion one way or another (like I said, it could happen) it would be really annoying.

Well if your discussing what the males have then you would most likely censor 6 inches or 9 inch and leave penis.

I personally think the filters are fine, i like how ghey is turned in to anubis, it's funny.
