2) How come all of the smilies are not visible unless you click on Show All?
3) In the skin selector, what the hell is Nick_Skin?
4) In the posting screen (this one which I am in now), what is the difference between Normal and Guided modes?

Not sure about your second question.
That's a skin Nick made, but IIRC he lost his images and needs to reupload them for the images to show.
Not sure about your fourth question either.

Not all the smilies are visible until you click Show All because not everyone wants to see all the smilies off to the side. My guess is that it'd look crowded in the smilie tray if all of them were in there.
And I don't know about your 4th question. Why not learn for yourself and tell us?

And okay I'll try and figure out what Guided Mode is.
Hmm, doesn't seem to be a difference. Damn, I wanted to be the hero...

Nick skin isn't a skin about Nick, it's a funny, awesome skin that Nick made as an april fools joke.

EDIT: Guided mode helps you with the text you want bolded, italicized, underlined etc. Normal Mode only helps you with URL's, Images, etc.

We can't have that, can we...?
1) What are the basic specifications for Mod enrollment? (I already know I've failed)
2) What are all of the powers that Mods receive? Also, what about Admins?
3) What is the 'Edit By Line'? It's above the 'Add Reply' button.
4) What are the various punishments that Mods can dish out?
5) How does the Warn level affect your posting privelages? (apart from banning you of course)

Be an active member, post constructive, uplifting things. Just follow the rules. Don't want to be rude but your kinda the opposite.

To close, open, edit topics. etc. etc. etc. Too much to type out.
Admins can do anything mods do plus alot more.

Mods get the power to as stated open, close, edit pin delte topics. They can warn a member.

Also referred to as the "Editted by Legend"
This line just states how many times you editted your post and on wich date, Moderators and admins can remove this from their posts.
Quote
If you break the rules moderators will warn you (see warn level, if you have been really bad they can suspend your account and probebly even ban your IP (not certain for IPB)
So beware

Warn level doesn't directly affect your posting priviledges but rather will warn you that if you keep going as you are now that other members will surely not be seeing you again after a while, it's just to indicate on how far you are on disobeying.

About the "edit by" line thing. I realised what you was talking about after reading the above post.
Just to add to it, members can also remove the edit by line also. (Well on this forum)

Example:
You post something.
Someone else posts.
You go to edit your post and add more things in, and use the edited by line.
^ And that way, people know you edited your post after someone posted. If you still don't know what I mean I think you'll understand in time.
