Which Boss(es) Were The Toughest? What do you think?

I personally found the kraken pretty tough. It's the only boss I didn't beat first time in the game.

Djinn are the key to all boss battles! If you know your Djinn and how to use them, you can beat anything!
I never bothered to try and avoid the tempest lizard. I enjoy boss battles! I actually enjoyed that one quite a bit.

Yeah, the problem with the kraken is that it can seriously affect your status and heal. That's what really got me. If it hadn't been able to do that it woulda been easy. :o

I have to say, Saturos was kinda hard too. He was harder than Saturos and Menardi together definately! (and the music was cooler :o) When I first fought him on my friend's gameboy, I managed to beat him second time though (much to my friend's surprise).
There're only three bosses in gs1 and 2 I've ever lost against (on my game). Kraken a few times, Dullahan once, and Doom Dragon about four times.

Agatio, that was mean. Just because he has lvl 99s means he doesn't have a life? GS2 is out for over a year, he might've went to lvl 99 in his spare time.
I'm still sticking with M/S+DD for the same reasons as I have stated before.

saturos and fusion dragon

Posted 14 March 2004 - 07:09 AM
even tho i used ground and luff my strategy didnt work
so wen i went to the sanctum after i lost
i went crazy over nuts, herbs, potions and all that crap
i bought 30 nuts,30 herbs,1 potion and 3 waters of life 4 each character
then i just kept unleashing/summoning djinn and i barely used psynergies
the only psynergy i used was wen all of mias djinn were on recovery so i used Glacier
and wenever sum1 got to low HP i used either a nut, potion or herb depending on how severe the damage is
well i got a little help from the prima's official strategy guide so it wasnt really a sweat

As I have said before, there are too many "Who's your **** Boss" topics. It annoys me...
I have announced that the hardest/most annoying/favorite boss is Dullahan. If you put it together, I like hard bosses. ;)
#57

For GS1, Deathbeard was the most difficult. The Fusion Dragon is tough partly due to the fact that you challenge him right after Saturos and Menardi (and you can't save/heal). Kraken was all right, mainly because I hadn't sold all of the elixers and antidotes I thought were worthless
For GS2, Dullahan, hands down. Mind you, I actually enjoyed fighting him... him an the Star Magician (Saturos' Theme!)... I know this may sound weird, but I would rather lose a fight with honor than win by referring to a guide/cheating... Please don't be offended if you do use guides...
I found a very easy way to beat Dullahan (I will post up the strategy and/or the url if you would like...) It was SO cheap that I restarted my game and fought him my way...
Sorry that this is so long...
Hope everything's all right,
Riad

I've beaten Fusion Dragon by just attacking before, and I've even had like all of my characters defend except Mia and beat saturos, menardi and fusion dragon with just her. (it took a really long tome though  )
Go me :D

I thought there was a small one... in Madra, there is a mention about the "King of Pirates", who is Isaac (I never saw that, though... must have missed it). But I've heard of it, defintely.
And Moapa (spelling?) and Crew was annoying... not difficult, but it was the only boss battle I had ever underestimated (stupid Bramble Seeds... Crystal Powder... bah)...
Edit: Sorry, that's in TLA... in GS, then, the Manticore at the end of Lamakan desert, especially if you are running low on health/Psynergy due to the heat... plus it has the ability to Poison your characters, so...

Deadbeard was really hard though. I had all my Djinn on standby, so everyone summoned level 4 summons, followed by level 3 summons, and I barely made it out alive. I was fighting him for half a day nonstop, constantly healing, buffing, and using Djinn whenever possible. At least I managed to get him on my first try, though Isaac was the last one standing with 13 HP left.
Saturos went down after 3 turns and Menardi went down one turn after that, thanks to a string of high-level summons. The Fusion Dragon wasn't too hard either, thanks to Flash and Ground.
What's funny is that I killed the Tempest Lizard on my first turn, yet the Storm Lizard kept kicking my ass. Dumb luck, I guess.
So I suppose Deadbeard is at the top of my list, followed by Storm Lizard, followed by Kraken, ending with Fusion Dragon.
